00:00First of all, we're in Poland. What are you announcing? Why is it so important?
00:04Today we're taking forward the Northolt Treaty, which is about greater military cooperation with Poland,
00:12more training, more industrial work together.
00:16And that is building on the work we've been doing intensively to strengthen European defence cooperation.
00:24We know that the threat environment in Europe has changed.
00:27We're all having the same conversation about Russia, the state-sponsored terrorism, the war in Ukraine,
00:33and the risk that that conflict spreads further across Europe.
00:37So against that backdrop, two old and firm friends working together to strengthen not just our own defence,
00:45but each other's, I think brings enormous practical benefits for Britain,
00:50but also sends the right message to Moscow about our determination to defend every inch of NATO territory.
