00:00We played ball, and we played don't you shoot.
00:03Don't you shoot.
00:04That one was his favorite.
00:06Dragons, dinosaurs, and now dogs.
00:10What is the most rewarding part about playing next to characters
00:13or lending your voice to a character that's not human?
00:16It's really fun to play a character that's not human
00:20or to act with characters that are not human
00:22because it takes you out of the obvious, you know?
00:26It really gets your imagination going, and I mean, in particular for me
00:33with A Dog's Way Home, I absolutely love dogs, and I love dog movies.
00:37And so, yeah, so this was huge for me, getting to do this.
00:42I discovered that every challenge I met, every fear I faced,
00:49brought me one step closer to the place where I belong.
00:53A Dog's Way Home reminds us to never give up.
00:56Yeah.
00:57Follow your heart.
00:58Yeah.
00:58How do you still motivate yourself and follow your heart in Hollywood?
01:02I am very fortunate and very lucky because the fact that I'm getting to work
01:08and that I'm getting to act and do a voice or write or direct or whatever,
01:13I mean, that is my bliss.
01:14Like, that is, like, last night, I'm directing something right now,
01:17and I was, we were shooting until 2 a.m., and I was just, like, so blissed out.
01:23I was so excited.
01:25It doesn't feel like work.
01:25It doesn't feel like work at all, and the time just flies.
01:28And so, you know, kind of, in a way, Hollywood is my heart.
01:33I've also been really privileged in that I've been exposed to a lot of individuals,
01:39starting with my father, who have also had a really healthy relationship
01:45with this kind of work and with this industry and with people within the industry.
01:50And so, you know, it feels like family.
01:52What is your favorite human-animal relationship in cinema?
01:56I think Marley and Me has the most powerful emotional kind of relationship.
02:04A dog's purpose also incredibly, incredibly emotional in all of those relationships.
