Leo, a caretaker at an animal rescue shelter, comes home and finds his gold-digging ex-girlfriend rolling around with a crooked lawyer. The lawyer puts his arm around her and sneers, "I'll tear down your shelter on Monday, and tonight I'm sleeping with your woman—you dog, go back to your doghouse." Kicked out, Leo rescues a stray dog that had been hit by their sports car. From the dog’s mouth falls a blood-stained lottery ticket—a five-hundred-million-dollar jackpot.
