00:02Hello and welcome. Welcome to MFEQ. This is nice, easy, simple learning. Just in case you're interested.
00:08If you already know how to use Blender, that's great. You still want to watch this part of the video
00:13because you might not have set it up properly.
00:16Now, I'm going to show you how to set up actual files from the first beginning. It's really easy, really
00:22fast.
00:23And you might think, well why do you want to do that? One, you might want to be able to
00:27save and store your animations for your character.
00:31And also you want to save animations for your voice. So you can interact and give your character different voices.
00:39I'll show you how to do it manually. That's what I'm going to show you.
00:42Okay, then go here. Later on, you're going to also maybe download Blender toolkit. Just in case you want to
00:50upload your models to here.
00:52Look, you're going to upload your models to Blender. Yes, I'm going to recommend that you make a separate file
00:57for that.
00:59That way you can put your file separate. Okay, first of all, you want to figure a name for a
01:04file.
01:04I want to copy my name. Okay, click the cube and go here. Right click and let's go delete it.
01:11Okay, go to edit, preferences. And don't forget this is a step by step guide, right?
01:18And honestly, by the time you get to the end of this, you're going to absolutely love it. Here you
01:22are.
01:23It's going to take out nearly all of the work that you're trying to do. Yeah, this is going to
01:28absolutely simplify.
01:29Okay, you go here. Then you go down to here and you make a new file. You'll say, where do
01:36you want to put it?
01:37By standard default, it goes into My Documents, into Blender. Right? Yeah, it's okay. Yeah, you can put it in
01:43there if you want to.
01:45Now, what I like to do, this is what I like to do. I like to click on Downloads. And
01:51I like to make myself a new file.
01:54Give me your file a name. Okay, give it a name. If you want to, just type your name that
02:00you want. Okay?
02:02I'm going to press basically Ctrl C. That's what I'm going to do. So I can copy the name.
02:08And I'll Ctrl V and paste it back in there. Basically just write a name or you can copy and
02:13paste it. Okay?
02:15So once you're happy with that, open it. Press here. Okay, if you look at the file. Okay, it's called
02:22ABC 2D 3D.
02:24I've called it EE1 Asset Library. And I've also put on here 364. Now it doesn't matter which version of
02:35Blender you're using.
02:36You can add your asset file to any version of Blender. I'll tell you that, the reason I'm telling you
02:44that.
02:44Because later on, if you make all your assets, let's say in 364, which is a whole lot easier and
02:51a whole lot faster. Right?
02:53When you go to version, let's say 440, because you need that version to do the automatic lip sync.
03:01In case you want to do that instead. Because you might prefer to do that.
03:06But if you do prefer to basically do it automatic with version 440.
03:13Yeah, there's a slight problem you're going to have. And I'll explain it to you as soon as I press
03:18next.
03:19Okay? Once you've done that, go here. Save it. Okay? I'll explain it to you in a moment.
03:25Go here. Hold this and drag it up. Over here, hover your mouse and click it. Go up and go
03:33change this to Asset Browser.
03:35Here are Blender's assets. Right? We don't want Blender's assets. We want our assets. Okay?
03:43What you want to do is go here. Look down the menu and there is your brand new file.
03:48Okay? That's how you add a new file. So you click that. And here's your file. So nothing in it.
03:54Oh, absolutely perfect. Right? Of course it's perfect.
03:59Now what you want to do is go to your file. Press this. Come on click it. And add the
04:05word body.
04:09Okay? That's your body for your character. Click it again. Two clicks. And call it face.
04:19So this is what I'm going to start you off with. Right? So you've got some basic animations to start
04:24you off.
04:25Of course you can watch my videos later on. And I'll show you a whole lot more. And you're really
04:30truly going to like it. You really are.
04:32As I said. Yeah. Watch how easy it is. Okay? Now. Whichever file you're working on. Whichever one you're doing.
04:39You have to select the file. Go back here. And honestly, I don't know why you have to do this.
04:46Select your file. Just say body. Go here. And press this one. Use current file. Okay? Now it's using this
04:56file here. Right?
04:57This is supposed to be my body. Right? So just go back to your body. Click the body. Okay? Leave
05:03it here. Go here.
05:05And press current file. Right? Press the body. You see how it's not actually in the body. So let's just
05:08go back. Let's see what's going on with it.
05:12Okay? Press the file. I want to use this file. Right? Go here. Current folder. Okay? Now it doesn't matter
05:20which one I press.
05:22It's still doing exactly the same thing. So I want to tell you. Press your file. Right?
05:29Press on the body. Go here. And press current file. Right? Just do that. Make sure you get in the
05:36habit of doing that.
05:39Because if you're doing faces. And you're doing arms, legs, fingers. You have to make sure you pick the file.
05:45And stick it in that folder. Okay?
05:49Or your animations are going to be all over the place. Now, you can use your own character. Or you
05:55can go, let's say, to Mixamo.
05:57You can download a Mixamo character to do this. Or you can click onto the video. And you can download
06:03Emma.
06:03I'll show you Emma. Let's go here. Open your file. Right?
06:08Well, actually, before you open your file. Go back to my downloads.
06:14You're going to download a file from the internet. Let's say, from Mixamo, it's going to automatically go inside your
06:20downloads.
06:20You have to open the file. Right? I'll show you Emma. Here's Emma.
06:30She's at my age one. She's at my game called Red Band Alley. I'm making it in Unreal Engine. That's
06:37what I'm doing.
06:37I'm halfway through it. When it's all up and working properly, I'll give you a little demo about it.
06:43Okay? So, you can run around the level. That's your girl. She's got a great mystery and a great adventure
06:49ahead of her.
06:50Okay? So, what you want to do is, when you download your model, I'll open my file and stick the
06:56model inside there.
06:58Right? My models are good. Right? You go here. Import. If you download a Mixamo file, it's going to be
07:08an FBX.
07:10Okay? So, let's suppose you go to Mixamo. Let's suppose you're on that. And you go to click on download
07:17and download it.
07:18When you download the FBX version, just download version 7. If you look at the models, it tells you what
07:26version they are.
07:27Just click on FBX 7 and download it. Okay? That way you won't get no problems. Okay? So, just download
07:35it, bring it in.
07:35Okay? Why one is this one. Okay? Click this. Go to downloads. Open your file. Click file and say open.
07:44Okay? Your character will come in the middle of the screen.
07:48Now, watch what I'm going to show you. It comes in. You can scroll up the mouse wheel to zoom
07:53in.
07:54Right? Pull it down. Bring it down a little bit. To see the character, go here. Show textures.
08:00I'm going to have to see the character. Now, here's the most important part of the whole scenario.
08:07It's about the files and about your character. Right? Now, like I said to you earlier on,
08:13do you remember I mentioned version 4.4? When you do your automatic lip sync, it's great.
08:19So, here's the problem right here. Right? When you open version 4.4.0, everything is exactly the same.
08:29Except, you see this file here? It's not there. It doesn't work.
08:35The version I've got, it's not there. It doesn't work. Okay?
08:39So, if you download it and it works for you, then, of course, you can just use version 4.4
08:44.0.
08:44And, as I said, it saves changing the version.
08:47But, I'm showing you version 3.6.4. Right?
08:50So, you've brought your character in. Right?
08:52Select the whole character. Now, this part is exactly the same.
08:57It doesn't matter if you're doing the fingers, the toes, the tongue, the eyes.
09:01It's exactly the same. Select all of it. Right-click.
09:07Right-click on it, and go. Insert keyframe.
09:10Sometimes it's here. Sometimes it's here. And sometimes it's up here.
09:14Okay? Press here. Insert keyframe.
09:18Visual location.
09:19Now that you've done that, you can go here.
09:23And you can look at your files. They're actually grey.
09:27That's because we haven't chose the file.
09:30Now, remember I just showed you how to choose the file.
09:33Okay? I need you to understand this.
09:37Okay? Once you've created the animation, then you can choose the file.
09:43So, here. Pick your file. Choose the body. Okay?
09:50And now, if you go here. Say, use current location.
09:54Here. And we should be able to save it. It says no.
09:58Come on. What are you doing? Let's try it again. Let's go back here.
10:03File. Body. Let's just click it. Right? Because we've already chose location.
10:09Click the file here. You see the file? You start this off.
10:12I mean, okay. Go back to your character. Okay?
10:16As I say, to put the character in the file, when you first set it up, it's a bit tricky.
10:21Okay? Select all of it. Right-click.
10:24Insert.
10:26Visual location and rotation.
10:28You can click on it, and it should light off.
10:31Okay? If you're on the right file, tick the body. Go here.
10:36Go to use current location.
10:39Go back to the asset. Press it.
10:42Because you know it's not allowed.
10:45Okay? Now, that file should save directly into the file.
10:49I think, okay. What's actually going on with the file?
10:53Okay? So, let's do this. Let's go here.
10:57Save it as the first time. Go to downloads. Open your file. Go here.
11:04And name the file exactly the same name as the folder. See ya.
11:10Okay. Now it's saved. Go back up here and check your file.
11:14Make sure Blender knows it's there. Which he does. Go over here and save preferences.
11:22Blender sounds yeah. It's been saved. Great. Okay.
11:28Now what you want to do is go back to the file. Go back to your file. Right?
11:34Click on the body. Go here as a used current location.
11:40It's supposed to pick the location. If it's correct, you can press that.
11:44And you can create the project. As you can see, Blender's not letting me do it.
11:48I mean, Blender, you're beautiful. Click this.
11:52Pick off the character. Make sure that you're not distant.
11:56Select all of it. Now you're thinking, well, how come it's not working?
12:00Okay? I can copy the animation. Go back here. It's not working. Right?
12:06It's not working because everybody makes this mistake. Right?
12:10I'm just not making sure you're understanding. Okay?
12:12Select your character. Go to file.
12:17Pose. Right?
12:19Change your pose. If you want to put them in front, press that.
12:23Select the entire character. Right click.
12:27Insert your frame.
12:29Visual location.
12:32Okay? This is the file I'm using.
12:34Go here.
12:36Create pose. Look.
12:38It works.
12:41And now he puts the file. Look.
12:43He puts the file inside the file. Right?
12:47So just so you understand that. Okay?
12:50So as I said, everybody messes that part up.
12:54So as I said to you, when you make your very first file, make your file. Right?
13:02Make your two files inside it.
13:04Just pick on your file you want.
13:08You're going to go here.
13:09You're going to set the location. Right?
13:12Now if you haven't picked the character like this one.
13:15Copy the copy.
13:16Come back out of it.
13:18Because people think they can select it.
13:21Right click. Make your animation.
13:23If they want to. Like this.
13:25They can copy the animation.
13:26And they think they can save it in the folder.
13:29Look. It doesn't work.
13:31Right?
13:31You have to click the character.
13:34Right?
13:35Once you've made the files, click the character.
13:38Make sure you click the skeleton.
13:40Follow there.
13:42Right click.
13:42Copy the animation.
13:44And then of course you do the visuals.
13:46You can go here.
13:47And you can basically press save.
13:49Right?
13:49That's what you can do.
13:50I'm not going to save it.
13:51Just so you want to tell that.
13:52Okay?
13:52Now, what I can do here.
13:54I can customize my character in the corner.
13:57I want to turn around.
13:58Make sure she's square.
13:59Make sure she's flat on the screen.
14:02Okay?
14:03Press the shoulder.
14:04You can zoom in if you want to.
14:06Okay?
14:06Go here.
14:07I'm going to put an arm right next to that line.
14:10Right there.
14:12I'll click this shoulder.
14:13And I'll put an arm on that line.
14:15I'll go top mode.
14:17I'll zoom in.
14:18I'm going to put a finger on the line.
14:21Put a finger on the line.
14:24Click here.
14:25Put a finger on the line.
14:28Okay?
14:29Just go back to any view you want.
14:32Okay?
14:32Make sure you're actually in the skeleton mode.
14:36Select all of it.
14:38Right click.
14:39Insert.
14:40Is your location?
14:42Go down here.
14:44He's telling me no.
14:45He's not doing it.
14:47Come on.
14:48What are you doing?
14:49Make sure you're on this well.
14:50Go here.
14:51Use current file.
14:53Okay?
14:54Go here.
14:55Create pose.
14:57There's your second pose.
14:58Now you see.
14:59I had to click it.
15:01I had to go here.
15:02And I had to make sure that I click.
15:04Create the pose.
15:06Now you can look at the pictures.
15:08What you want to do is put a photograph on there.
15:11The photograph is there.
15:12But it's really, really, really tiny.
15:14Right?
15:15Okay.
15:16How do you fix the photographs?
15:17Okay.
15:17Now to name.
15:19To name the file.
15:20And change the name.
15:21To name the photo.
15:22It's here.
15:23Okay?
15:24So this is your first pose.
15:27Okay?
15:28I'm going to change her name.
15:29I'm going to call her E1.
15:32And I'm going to call it P.
15:36PA.
15:37So that's her first pose.
15:39That's her A pose.
15:40I'll go to this one.
15:42Okay?
15:43So again.
15:44It's the same name.
15:45It's E1.
15:47And this is pose.
15:50This is pose T.
15:53Now.
15:54They've got two poses.
15:55I can't see the photo.
15:56I can't see the photo.
15:57To change the photo.
15:59You have to set the camera up.
16:01Right?
16:01Now.
16:01Before we do anything else.
16:03Let's bring in another camera.
16:06Because we've got a body camera.
16:07We've got a face camera.
16:08We've only got one camera.
16:10You can use one camera.
16:12But it's easier to use two cameras.
16:14I'll show you.
16:15Go here.
16:16Come out of it.
16:17Go to add.
16:19Add yourself to the second camera.
16:22Go to the camera.
16:23And call it.
16:25Face.
16:28And leave it there.
16:29Go to the first camera.
16:30And call it buddy.
16:33Okay.
16:34Now we need to set the camera up.
16:36Right?
16:36For the photos.
16:38Okay.
16:38We can do the face first.
16:40Open the cameras.
16:41Click on the green part.
16:43Now if this is not open.
16:44If it's all closed.
16:46Press this.
16:47It will be closed like that.
16:49Press on here.
16:50Press the top one.
16:52Don't do this one.
16:53Do this one.
16:54From here.
16:55Press the body.
16:56The camera jumps off the screen.
16:59That's normal.
16:59Press this.
17:00Look through the camera.
17:02Zoom out.
17:04And you'll see your character.
17:06Go down.
17:07Now don't forget this is for a face.
17:09Right?
17:09Zoom into her face.
17:12There.
17:13Once she's set up.
17:16Unclick it.
17:16And close that.
17:18Close the camera.
17:20Okay?
17:20Now I'll hold the camera in a moment.
17:23Okay?
17:24Actually let's do it now.
17:25Zoom out.
17:26See the big yellow camera?
17:27Press this.
17:28Hold it.
17:29You don't need to see.
17:29If you want to see it.
17:31You can bring it back.
17:31If you're hoity.
17:33If you're hoity.
17:34You can press the camera.
17:36And it still works.
17:37Look.
17:38This one here.
17:39Is only so you can see.
17:41That's all it's for.
17:43Okay?
17:44Let's check the next camera.
17:46Okay?
17:47With this camera.
17:47Go back to here.
17:49Put it back on her body.
17:51Okay?
17:51Press on this one.
17:54And now go out to the camera.
17:56As you can see how far she is.
17:58Look at these photos.
17:58That's where it is.
18:00You want to zoom in.
18:02To the character.
18:03Hold it.
18:03And drag it.
18:05Bring her in the screen.
18:07About there somewhere.
18:09I mean okay.
18:10Yes.
18:10She's not looking too bad.
18:12Okay?
18:12Leave her like that for a moment.
18:14I mean okay.
18:15And untick it.
18:16And untick that.
18:18Okay.
18:18Let's leave her like that.
18:20So the camera is set up.
18:21Now.
18:21Let's change the size of the thumbnail.
18:25I'm going to tell you.
18:26Press the camera.
18:28Scroll down.
18:29Go to film.
18:31Transparent.
18:32You want the transparency on it.
18:34So that way there's no background on it.
18:36So when it takes a photograph.
18:37You only get the character.
18:40And not the background.
18:41Right.
18:42So film.
18:43Turn it on.
18:44Go to printer.
18:45Blender.
18:46You can go to the top.
18:48Press down the default.
18:50It's automatically set.
18:51To your screen size.
18:53Right.
18:54Don't worry about it.
18:55Every time you open Blender.
18:57Blender will reset it for you.
18:59Okay.
19:00You don't have to change it.
19:01Don't worry about it.
19:02Okay.
19:02Just go here.
19:04We're only setting it for the.
19:06We're only setting this for the cameras.
19:08Right.
19:09Go here.
19:10Two hundred and fifty six.
19:12Right.
19:13Go here.
19:14Two hundred and fifty six.
19:17Make sure your character stays in the photograph.
19:20Here she is here.
19:21Now why do the two choose two fifty six.
19:24Because if you go and do yourself a Google search.
19:27Google will tell you.
19:29The standard size for a.
19:31A thumbnail.
19:32For your character.
19:33In Blender.
19:35Is two hundred and fifty six.
19:37Okay.
19:37Now as you can see.
19:38The character's not quite there.
19:40Click back on the body.
19:41Click the camera.
19:43And zoom the character back in.
19:46Okay.
19:47Just a corner sticker there.
19:48When you're happy.
19:48Click off that.
19:49Close that.
19:50Of course.
19:51Because we changed the size.
19:52Go back and do the face.
19:55The face.
19:56It's not bad.
19:58Develop the body.
20:00Camera.
20:01And zoom in.
20:03Until exactly where you want it.
20:05Okay.
20:06And then turn you off.
20:06And turn you off.
20:08The idea of turning that off.
20:10Is because when you come back out the camera.
20:12And you zoom out the character.
20:14I want to hide this camera.
20:16This one hides it.
20:17And this one hides it.
20:19So there's no cameras in the scene.
20:21They are.
20:22If you press it look.
20:23You can still see the cameras.
20:25Right.
20:26Because you can't see them on the screen.
20:28Here and here.
20:29Okay.
20:30We don't want to see them on the screen.
20:32Now this is what you do.
20:33This is obviously her.
20:34This pose here.
20:36This is her T pose.
20:38Click on the camera.
20:39On the body.
20:40Right.
20:41Now what you want to do.
20:43Is render the shot.
20:44Render it.
20:45I'll bring it in the screen.
20:48Change your T pose.
20:50Okay.
20:50Go back here.
20:52Save it.
20:53You will save it in the same folder.
20:55Okay.
20:56It's called.
20:57E1.
20:59And it's pose.
21:01T.
21:02Save it.
21:04Okay.
21:05Now that's the pose for the T pose.
21:07Open your file.
21:08Click this.
21:09Open your file.
21:10Save your file.
21:11If you can't see it.
21:12Like that.
21:13Press that.
21:14Press that.
21:15And save load.
21:16Look at that.
21:18Absolutely perfect.
21:19Okay.
21:20Now you want this camera.
21:22Leave the camera on the body.
21:24Go back up.
21:26And go refresh.
21:28It's still the T pose.
21:29Right.
21:29Okay.
21:30This is what you do.
21:31Two clicks.
21:33Two clicks this.
21:34Two clicks this look.
21:35Now it's exactly the same pose look.
21:38Okay.
21:39So if you accidentally make a pose like that.
21:43Like I've just done.
21:45Then of course.
21:45Just basically turn your character around.
21:48Zoom in.
21:49As I say.
21:50She shouldn't be in a T pose.
21:51She's supposed to be in an A pose.
21:52And for two clicks.
21:54I'm going to right click on it.
21:55And see if it is a pose.
21:56It's not.
21:57Okay.
21:58So what I can do here.
21:59I'm going to do two clicks.
22:01Leave her like this.
22:03Go back to your character.
22:06Just check it.
22:07As I say.
22:08I don't know where I've done that.
22:09Press this.
22:12Okay.
22:13Yeah.
22:13I'm just checking the pose.
22:15Press that.
22:16Go to pose.
22:18Okay.
22:19Press her arm.
22:20And bring it down.
22:23Click this arm.
22:25And bring it down.
22:27Because this is my new pose.
22:28Right.
22:29So what I want to do is select all this.
22:33This is how I want to do it.
22:34And now what I want to do is right click.
22:36Is animation.
22:38This is your location.
22:39Go here.
22:40Press that.
22:41And you'll save a new pose.
22:43Go to this one.
22:44Right click.
22:45And clear.
22:46And clear the asset.
22:48Because this is the actual asset.
22:50Go here.
22:51E.
22:52One.
22:53This is pose.
22:55A.
22:55Okay.
22:56I don't know where I actually moved the phone using the first place.
22:59Okay.
22:59Now we've done that.
23:00We can open this up.
23:02We need the photo.
23:04Go back to here.
23:05Render.
23:07As I said.
23:08Sometimes when you do it.
23:08You'll make a mistake.
23:09Go here.
23:11Save.
23:12Go to the actual thing itself.
23:16And just put A on the end of it.
23:18And click save.
23:20Close it.
23:21Open the file.
23:23Look at the files.
23:24You understand?
23:25Yeah.
23:26Okay.
23:26Now we've got two animations.
23:28Right.
23:29So you've got to keep doing that.
23:32Until you get all of the animations you want.
23:34So if she's running.
23:35Jumping.
23:35Crawling.
23:37Don't do the whole animation straight away.
23:39Just do the very first position.
23:41Or whatever action she's going to do.
23:45Right.
23:46And if you click on the files.
23:49Right.
23:50I'll show you later on.
23:52You can look down here.
23:54It says blend animation.
23:57So we can go.
23:59Two clicks.
24:00It should be this one.
24:01Two clicks.
24:02It should be this one.
24:03So if we go.
24:04If we start from here.
24:06We can blend it from that.
24:08To that.
24:09Okay.
24:10It won't basically do that look.
24:11Like this.
24:13It won't do that.
24:14What it will do.
24:15I'll show you.
24:16I'm not going to do it.
24:17I'm going to tell you.
24:19When you blend the animation.
24:22What it will do.
24:23It will calculate.
24:24How to move the hands from here.
24:26To here.
24:27So when you press play.
24:29How.
24:30When you basically create it.
24:32And.
24:33When you let's say.
24:34Get the animation like this.
24:35You will notice.
24:36Her hands will actually go up.
24:38Properly.
24:39Okay.
24:40I'll explain it to you.
24:41A little bit later on.
24:42So.
24:42Learn this part.
24:43This is the hardest part to learn.
24:45And of course.
24:46Once you've got the animations in here.
24:48Yeah.
24:48Animations are always.
24:50Super easy.
24:51The hardest part.
24:52Out of the whole thing.
24:54Is just getting the first file.
24:57Okay.
24:58So.
24:58If you're doing the face.
25:00I'll show you that.
25:02Bring it down.
25:03If I open the face file.
25:05There's no.
25:05There's nothing in here.
25:07Right.
25:08If you're not doing the face.
25:09Click on the face camera.
25:11Check it.
25:12That's the face.
25:13Okay.
25:14Now of course.
25:15In order to set the face up.
25:17You need to select the bones.
25:20Okay.
25:21Okay.
25:22Now.
25:22Look at my character.
25:23I want all of the bones.
25:25To do with the face.
25:27These are all the bones.
25:28Inside the face.
25:30Right.
25:31Of course.
25:31If you look at my character.
25:32My bones are a little bit.
25:34Yeah.
25:35When you save it out sometimes.
25:36It will make your bones clear.
25:39So.
25:39This is what I like to do myself.
25:41Personally.
25:42I like to come back into A mode.
25:46Like this.
25:46Keep up on your character.
25:48Turn them off.
25:50Make sure you can see.
25:51The actual bones.
25:53Okay.
25:53Turn it off for now.
25:55Take your character.
25:56Go here.
25:57Go to A mode.
25:58Right.
25:59That's the bones.
26:00We can see the bones.
26:01They're too big.
26:03Take the bone.
26:04Go here.
26:05And scale the bone down.
26:08We don't need the bone that big.
26:10Leave it there.
26:11Okay.
26:12This one.
26:12You can take this.
26:13If you want to.
26:14There's two there.
26:14Take this.
26:16And scale it.
26:19Make sure you do edit mode when you do this.
26:22Okay.
26:22Because oh boy you'll pull the character's face.
26:25Go here.
26:26And scale this.
26:29Move it up if you want to.
26:31Like this.
26:33And of course we've got this one left in the middle of here.
26:35Which is absolutely massive.
26:37Okay.
26:38I'm going to scale that one down.
26:43If you turn it around.
26:44Go back.
26:45I'll do that.
26:46Zoom in.
26:47So you can see what you're doing.
26:48And then you're scaling.
26:50Scaling.
26:52Move it up.
26:52Move it down.
26:53So you can see where it is.
26:55Okay.
26:55I'm going to put it up here somewhere.
26:57That's what I'm going to do.
26:58I'm going to come back out of it.
27:00So that's me setting up my actual rig.
27:03Go here.
27:04Save it.
27:06Right.
27:06Now.
27:07We're ready to set the face animation.
27:10Okay.
27:10Go here.
27:11Select the entire face.
27:14Right.
27:14Right click.
27:15Insert keyframe.
27:16And save this one.
27:17It's your location.
27:19Okay.
27:20This is only the face.
27:21Right.
27:22We're not doing the body.
27:23Face only.
27:25Make sure you go here.
27:27Current folder.
27:29Right.
27:30Once you've done that.
27:31Press this.
27:32And press create.
27:34There's the face.
27:35Don't forget the face is in the face folder.
27:38The body is in the body folder.
27:39Right.
27:40When you change folders.
27:42Make sure you tell the software.
27:43To use that folder.
27:45Okay.
27:46I want a screenshot of that.
27:48You can just leave her like that.
27:49Go here.
27:51Render.
27:53And there is her face.
27:55Press this one.
27:57Go here.
27:58There it has.
27:59And I'll pause.
27:59This is face.
28:04I'm just going to call it face.
28:06And I'm going to go.
28:06Okay.
28:07I'll close that.
28:09I'm going to call this one exactly the same.
28:11I'm going to call it zero.
28:13And I'll call it face.
28:17Just so it stays.
28:18Just so it stays where it is.
28:21File.
28:22Face.
28:23Yes.
28:24Okay.
28:25Now that's all I'm going to show you for now.
28:28That's that.
28:29Okay.
28:29Now.
28:30Inside the face section.
28:33This is where you decide to create your lips.
28:37You'll.
28:38You'll.
28:39You know when you make a sound.
28:40And you.
28:41And you do the alphabet.
28:42With your mouth.
28:43The A's.
28:43The B's.
28:44The C's.
28:45And so forth.
28:46Okay.
28:47Now.
28:48Later on.
28:49When I show you.
28:49I'll turn this off.
28:51The idea.
28:53Of this folder.
28:56And it's also for lip sync.
28:58Later on.
28:59And you have to make the shape.
29:00Of the letter.
29:03Right.
29:03So if you're going to do.
29:04A.
29:05B.
29:05C.
29:06And use your own mouth.
29:07If you want to.
29:08As a reference.
29:09To pronounce the letter.
29:10However you pronounce it.
29:12Set your character's bones.
29:14In the same place.
29:16And then save the animation.
29:18I'll show you exactly how to do it.
29:20Later on.
29:21Okay.
29:22So we're going back.
29:23To the body.
29:24Go back to here.
29:26Use current file.
29:28Okay.
29:28So.
29:29We're not doing face at the moment.
29:30We're going back.
29:31To the body.
29:32Okay.
29:33So in video two.
29:34We're going to do a little bit more animation.
29:36On the body.
29:37I really hope that you like the process.
29:39Nice, easy, plain and simple.
29:40As I said.
29:41The only part that's a little bit tricky.
29:44Is the file part.
29:46You will learn exactly how to set it up.
29:48You really will.
29:48You just might forget.
29:50Where to change your file.
29:52To go here.
29:54And to change you.
29:55I don't know.
29:55I don't understand why you have to keep changing it.
29:58Ideally.
30:00And if you.
30:01If you don't.
30:02Change it.
30:04It don't matter if you don't change it.
30:06It just means.
30:07You're going to have the body in here.
30:08And the face will be in here.
30:11If that happens.
30:12You have to hold it.
30:14Drag it.
30:14And drop it back in the file.
30:16Right.
30:17To save doing that.
30:18Just pick the right file.
30:20To start with.
30:21Face safe and friendly.
30:22If you want video 2.
30:24Yeah.
30:25Come back and watch video 2.
30:26I'll say.
30:27Video 2.
30:27We'll be doing some more animated.
30:29So.
30:29I'll be doing.
30:31The random.
30:32Standing.
30:33And sitting positions.
30:34Just to start you off with.
30:36And when you've got.
30:37Let's say.
30:38Probably about.
30:3912 positions.
30:41Yeah.
30:42We'll move on.
30:43And we'll do.
30:44The mouth.
30:45Animation.
30:45So.
30:46When you add.
30:47Your sound.
30:48Later on.
30:49Yes.
30:49You can do it manually.
30:51And.
30:52Add it.
30:52To the sound.
30:54Or.
30:54Later on.
30:55You can decide.
30:56To take.
30:57The whole entire file.
30:59Into version 440.
31:01And you can lip sync.
31:02The actual sound.
31:04To your character.
31:05Automatically.
31:07You might think.
31:07That's a great idea.
31:08Watch when you try it.
31:10Yeah.
31:10When you first do it.
31:12Yeah.
31:12It's pretty great.
31:12So.
31:14You try and do it.
31:15A couple of times.
31:16Yeah.
31:16It's not really.
31:17The problems.
31:18So.
31:19The way I'm showing you.
31:20Is the best way.
31:21And easy way.
31:22To do it.
31:23Stay safe.
31:24Bye.
