India Women vs Zimbabwe Women 1st ODI: history is being made in Vadodara today, as the two sides meet in a women's one-day international for the very first time. Live from the BCA Stadium in Kotambi, Zimbabwe won the toss and chose to bat first against the world number three side.
World number three India, led by Smriti Mandhana with stars like Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma and Shafali Verma, start as overwhelming favourites after a 3-0 T20I clean sweep in Raipur earlier this week — winning by four wickets, nine wickets, and a massive 92 runs. Zimbabwe, captained by Josephine Nkomo and ranked fourteenth in the world, are still chasing their first win of the tour. The remaining two ODIs are on October 25 and October 28, both in Vadodara at 2:00 PM Indian time. For India, the series is valuable preparation for the inaugural Women's Champions Trophy next year. Can Zimbabwe spring the upset of the season? Watch our full report for the squads, the schedule, and what to expect from this historic series.
