00:00To those history books, and we are underway at the Maracaná, Flamengo against Estudiantes de la Plata.
00:07The prize, the place in the Commonwealth Libertadores final after last week's 0-0 draw.
00:23Swinger sent into the box, it's an early catch for Muslera.
00:30And they lost 2-1 against Cruzeiro.
00:33And the first leg of the 0-0 draw against Estudiantes was the first game in 21 in which they
00:42failed to score.
00:47Eugenio is now the latest player to be rolling around.
00:50The rain falling steadily now at the Maracaná.
01:01Muslera, slamming the brakes on, still colliding heavily.
01:04Jorge Carascale delivers this cross in, it's a good one.
01:08With a layoff, and it's a super block.
01:11Very good defending.
01:14Santiago Núñez to prevent the first chance the way of Flamengo, and it came really via that combination.
01:24Carascale's ball and the invention of Pedro.
01:30And it's exactly what he brings to this side.
01:33The deft touch of the number 9.
01:36The awareness of those around him.
01:38And it ends up being a very good chance of Eugenio.
01:43Again, he goes down theatrically, having been caught late.
01:46And now, the first time in the evening, the card does eventually come out.
01:51Balthazar Rodríguez, told by the referee.
01:54One, two, three.
01:56And this one...
01:58Yes, Jorginho makes the most of it.
02:03Half-time whistle blows.
02:06Bang on cue.
02:07At half-time, it's Flamengo 0.
02:10Estudiantes 0.
02:11Which means we are still waiting for a breakthrough in this semi-final.
02:20And we're back on the way at the Madagascar now.
02:23Flamengo 0.
02:24Estudiantes de la Plata 0.
02:29It's a turn in the midfield, and a pullback, and that will be a card.
02:33It comes out as Pires won't get away with it on this occasion.
02:36And while the referee allows it to go on, he kept his cards in his pockets,
02:40taking him three minutes of the second half
02:44to dip into his pocket this time.
02:45And it's a clear one.
02:47Carascal doing well.
02:49To the defending champions.
02:51That's perhaps why they are the defending champions.
02:53Lino.
02:54And it's going to be another card.
02:56It's Balthazar Rodríguez.
02:57And it's a second yellow.
03:00Balthazar Rodríguez is off.
03:02And look how that is celebrated by both the players and those in the stands.
03:10Celebrated almost like a goal by the home supporters.
03:13In a time which they have not had things their own way.
03:17Looking for the slightest of margins.
03:19And it is really the most senseless of red cards.
03:22The first one was silly.
03:23But on a yellow card, that perhaps even more so.
03:34Lino's away.
03:35Come back there with some Royale.
03:37Could be a breakaway.
03:37Rocco tries to halt him with a shirt.
03:40But he finds Pedro.
03:41That's another poor challenge by Nunez.
03:43And that will be another yellow card.
03:56Not a good challenge at all by Santiago Nunez.
03:59He and Leandro Gonzalez.
04:01Pires.
04:02Now the two players.
04:07Beat.
04:08That's how.
04:11He's now kicked the ball away as well.
04:13He too will be booked.
04:14That's all so foolish.
04:22Some sympathy.
04:25That perhaps more of a foul.
04:26And a silly little tap on the head of...
04:30...Kalaskal as he went past.
04:33The actual foul that was eventually given there with Bakadar was soft.
04:38And it's for Fidemengel.
04:41Being a little slow to get the ball forward.
04:43They'll end up passing it around.
04:47A very congested Estudiantes penalty area.
04:51Everyone.
04:52All ten outfield players.
04:56Nine outfield plus the keeper should save for his DiBiandes.
05:00Packed.
05:08Clips it over the top.
05:09Wonderfully done.
05:10Saved by the keeper.
05:12Platter it was.
05:13Seconds off the bench.
05:15His header.
05:16Saved by Musnera.
05:20Cliply taken again.
05:21Goal backwards.
05:24No real pressure on the ball.
05:25As it sends in.
05:26Header on goal.
05:27Glance just wide.
05:30That was not far away.
05:35Cliply taken again.
05:35So they're stilliantis.
05:38Slow to get out and prevent that cross.
05:41Progini on deliverance.
05:43Lucas Paquita at Laschieta.
05:46Now it's Paquita once again.
05:50Laschieta.
05:52Scheming away.
05:53Being pushed further away from goal.
05:57another cross that comes in another one that's easy for Muslera
06:02Leo Pineda once again he will deliver spread into the box and the cross that
06:08doesn't seem to get a touch off anyone is it avoids the head of Jorginho
06:12avoids the head of the defenders skips on through for a goal kick
06:17Gonzalez Pires doing enough to prevent Jorginho getting on the end of that one
06:27this is exactly why Estudio do Flamengo have enough time one more minute being
06:32added on by the referees the signal or so it would seem the last note the full-time
06:38whistle does indeed go it finishes here nil-nil Fernando Muslera
06:43De Esquieta finds the back of the net and gives Flamengo the lead
06:49and the perfect starts at the mannequin hour
06:57it was Jorginho that took the first in the shootout for this exact purpose this exact
07:01moment of course a source to level things up and get Estudiantes off to the good start
07:08and he does just that
07:18he fulfills what he was brought on to do
07:21it's Rossi denying games Jorginho with the hop and the skip and Muslera saves
07:28the trademark run-up of Jorginho
07:34denied by Fernando Muslera
07:43goalkeeper guesses the right way gets down low
07:46despite being given the eyes by Jorginho team as Klaus saw that
07:50can he do it on the biggest stage of all he slips
08:04that will need to be checked while Tejera waits for confirmation in his ear
08:13certainly is a double touch same run-up and this time he blasts over
08:20C3
08:22hindered perhaps mentally from the slip from the retake and he blazes over the top of the bar
08:31the advantage
08:35start up and it's saved Muslera does it again
08:41guesses correctly to the same corner as Jorginho
08:44and exactly the same results
08:50Paquetá hoping to hear that Muslera strayed from his line
08:56a casual run-up take advantage where C3 couldn't
09:01Mancuso does exactly that
09:03keeps it low as Rossi stays down the middle
09:06and Mancuso finds the net to make it 2-1
09:10Alexander Medina can barely watch on the dugout
09:18moving and dancing again
09:20Pereira scores
09:22this time Muslera does go to the other corner
09:25and it's a good penalty from the centre-back
09:282-2
09:30Estudiantes yet to take their fourth
09:34Rossi yet to make a save
09:35it's the Tres effort blazed
09:37it's Palacios
09:39it's into the back of the net with some force
09:44and Estudiantes are one penalty away
09:48Palacios makes no mistake
09:50with a fearsome strike that Rossi can do nothing about
09:54to keep Flamengo's hopes of defending the title alive
09:57Bruno Enrique saved by Muslera
10:02Fernando Muslera saves for the third time in the shootout
10:11and it's Estudiantes going to the limited orders final
10:15the champions are out
10:21Muslera the saviour the hero once again for El Pincharrata
10:29and after bravely defending for the second half down to ten men
10:36Estudiantes are dreaming
10:40of a trophy that means so much to this club
10:45the four times winners
10:501968, 1969, 1970
10:55then the year of
10:57Veyron Jr. into
10:59this project
11:00the young men
11:01But it was a scam
11:08But…
11:09even if the 370
