In less than a month work will cease forever at the 145-year-old Boag's Brewery in Launceston. The last of the locally brewed beer has now been bottled. It was an emotional event for the workers and marks the beginning of a period of uncertainty for local businesses, and the beer fans that the brewery has previously lured to Launceston.

00:02The end of the assembly line, as the last Bogues beer brewed in Launceston is bottled.
00:10In less than a month, work will cease forever at the Bogues brewery.
00:15To be honest, I'm holding it together. It's quite emotional. I've been here 22 years.
00:21Millions of tonnes of beer have been brewed at the side over nearly 150 years.
00:26Lion Australia has blamed inflation and low sales for the closure, which puts 42 people out of work.
00:34Bogues will now be brewed on the mainland.
00:36Tassie has this unique water and that's one part of what makes Bogues so special.
00:40So to emulate a beer elsewhere, you do have to put minerals in the water to create our softness of
00:46water that we have here.
00:47The workers' final day at the brewery will be November 6.
00:50After that, the equipment will be decommissioned, which is expected to take about 12 months.
00:55Lion Australia says although the brewery is closing, the brew house and museum will remain open.
01:01Bogues has always been the top seller at Adrian Singline's pub.
01:05And the brewery tours, which end this week, have lured many visitors.
01:10You get tourists in and the first two things you send them to is the gorge or the brewery.
01:14So it's a bit of a loss for Launceston.
01:16The publican says he'll let his customers decide if Bogues brewed elsewhere tastes different.
01:22Yeah, it will continue. My locals will soon tell me if it's not the same.
01:26It's not the same.
01:33In today's visit, I'm dedicated to the program.
01:34These are built in.
01:34We are now at St. Louis 4, frown怎樣.
