00:00U.S. President Donald Trump says Washington is not negotiating with Iran, but expects an outcome fairly soon.
00:08Trump says the United States is doing well against Tehran and describes the war as a small conflict.
00:16But Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas al-Rachi contradicts Trump, saying indirect negotiations with Washington were continuing through mediators.
00:25He said that Washington was seeking to add further clauses to the seven-day ceasefire proposal that Tehran presented in
00:31September.
00:32The proposal offers to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days if Washington lift its naval blockade, eases oil
00:40export restrictions and releases frozen Iranian assets.
00:43The proposal also calls for an end to all hostilities, paving the way for a permanent end to the war.
00:49Trump has previously said he does not expect the war to end before the November 3rd midterm elections.
00:55accusing Tehran of prolonging the conflict to hurt Republicans' electoral prospect.
