00:011. If you play solo, your gear has nowhere to hide every squeak, every dead note, it's all out front.
00:08So I went digging through thousands of listings to find the best deals for top 5 brass instruments for soloists,
00:13and the price to quality on a couple of these honestly surprised me.
00:17Let's get into it.
00:192. First up, a 6-piece set of universal acoustic guitar strings with a brass hexagonal steel core.
00:26Now, these aren't a trumpet or a horn, but they're brass stone strings built to hold pitch and stay bright
00:31under a solo spotlight,
00:32and for $2.29 they're the cheapest way to keep a backup set in your case.
00:37Nearly 5,000 sold, 4.7 stars.
00:41That's a no-brainer grab.
00:433. Second is the same string build in a slightly upgraded listing, brass hexagonal steel core, universal fit,
00:50but this one's come down at $5.16 with a 4.9 rating across almost 5,000 buyers.
00:56When a product's rating climbs just from the version people actually keep rebuying, that tells you something.
01:02If you want the set you won't second-guess, pay the extra three bucks.
01:07For a third, and this is the one gigging brass players should actually open a brass instrument cleaning kit with
01:12valve oil,
01:13a flexible snake brush, and mouthpiece brushes, all for $4.60.
01:18Trumpet, trombone, horn, it doesn't care.
01:21Valve oil and a clean mouthpiece are the difference between smooth action and a horn that fights you mid-solo.
01:27$4.60 to protect a $1,000 instrument.
01:31Buy it.
01:335 to a fourth, a brass repair tool kit for saxophone, flute, alto, tenor, and elbow mouthpieces,
01:38expanding, indentation, and throat hole tools, $13.94, 4.9 stars.
01:44This is the kick you buy once and stop paying a tech for small dents and rolled mouthpiece edges.
01:49Pro repair money adds up fast.
01:52One dent fixed at home and this thing has paid for itself twice.
01:56Note, products 1 and 2 are guitar strings, not brass instruments.
02:01Script names that plainly rather than faking it.
02:03look at this.見
