00:00With the noise and the atmosphere will hit them.
00:03They say he's the world's best referee, Simran Martignac.
00:06Big man for the big occasion.
00:09In pouring with rain all day.
00:12Temperatures down around in the 3-1 league.
00:15Cut victory against Tottenham last month.
00:17Eight of that team started the 6-3 win too many.
00:20It's a side that boasts only six Champions League goals.
00:25It really changed things.
00:29And it will be Real from Spain who kick us off in underwear then.
00:34All in yellow.
00:36This is his eighth appearance of the season.
00:38He's having a run in the side.
00:40If he doesn't start, he comes off the bench quite often.
00:43There's Van Dijk.
00:44It's a misjudged header.
00:46Nicotate, 1-0.
00:48Horrible moment for the Liverpool captain.
00:51And George Nicotate puts Real 1-0 up after four minutes.
00:58Well, he made a mistake right at the start of the game.
01:00He's made, I think, two mistakes here.
01:02The first one is the bad header.
01:04But watch his recovery run.
01:06In my view, he should be running in behind the goalkeeper.
01:09That's the only place.
01:13McAllister.
01:16Ngomou up.
01:16Lovely run by him.
01:18Can he put it back?
01:19Decided he was going to go for goal himself.
01:21Plenty of time to recover here, though.
01:23Here's Ngomou.
01:2420 minutes gone.
01:25Again, two on him.
01:27Goes up to the gears and takes on Cardona.
01:30That's a good run.
01:31And it took the deflection off the defender and needed to be saved by Gulashi.
01:37And he's pulled his man back there.
01:39Lucky to get away with it.
01:41Will it come here for Liverpool?
01:44Didn't get anything on it, Gravenberg.
01:48Here's the defender and here's Gay.
01:53Lerner.
01:53On it goes.
01:54It went this well.
01:55Saliba.
01:55Two in here for them.
01:57It's 2-0.
01:59Cardona scores.
02:01Liverpool are all at sea.
02:03Liverpool 0-0.
02:04Villarreal 2.
02:05Sensational from the Spanish side.
02:09Sergi Cardona's first goal in European football.
02:14Well, you have to say it's brilliant from Villarreal.
02:17Their passing, their movement, their understanding.
02:20The weight from Vega.
02:23Hardly got a chance as a Chelsea player.
02:28How many players have said that over the years?
02:30He was a star in the summer for Portugal, I felt, anyway.
02:35In comes a corner.
02:37It's in, McAllister.
02:38Liverpool back in the game.
02:46Well, it seems to happen quite a lot.
02:48McAllister.
02:50Not one of the biggest players.
02:51I'm saying that Barclay and Vietz have played virtually every minute.
02:54That's where they're not starting.
02:57He's the only beginning to flourish.
03:01McAllister.
03:03Good effort.
03:05He's claiming it came off one of the defenders.
03:10Match day three is often very important.
03:14Here they come again.
03:16That's a good effort.
03:18Pushed over the bar from Santi Mourinho.
03:21The Hungarian keeper's line is all up, though.
03:23He seems happy enough.
03:26Crucial moment.
03:27McAllister.
03:36Simikas.
03:37Simikas.
03:38Gap.
03:38Oh, brilliantly done.
03:39Can he put it back for Kumas?
03:40He went for the near post angle.
03:42Blocked by Vega.
03:43Simikas.
03:44Swings it away then.
03:45Out by Vega.
03:49Katatze couldn't clear.
03:52Engamoa.
03:54Looking for the far post area.
03:56And in comes Araujo to level it up against a hesitant Villarreal defence who stood and watched and he pounced.
04:12Well, it's a decent ball played.
04:14It's a good header and they are back in the game now.
04:17Scored against Lask in the last game.
04:19Scores here tonight to tie it up.
04:21Liverpool 2-0 down after 28 minutes.
04:28And Araujo has not reappeared.
04:30Well, he played 45 minutes of the weekend against Brentford and was taken off.
04:34So, his last contribution was to score the equalising goal.
04:39And Saliba has gone off for Villarreal.
04:42That must be an injury problem, you would have thought, because he was superb in that opening.
04:4745 minutes.
04:50So, the two changes.
04:51Right at the start of the second half.
04:582-2 it is.
04:59Only twice before of Liverpool come back from 2-0 down.
05:02Well, from two goals down to win a Champions League game.
05:05It's off we go.
05:07They're kicking from left to right.
05:09They came back from two goals down to beat Milan.
05:12Here's Gravenberg.
05:15Now in Gamower.
05:18Well, brilliantly done.
05:19Gravenberg.
05:20Might have been going wide, but Galassi made sure.
05:23Galassi made sure.
05:27Simikas.
05:29Galassi was in there again, making a nuisance of himself.
05:32Pulls it back.
05:32Gakpo with the drive.
05:36Gakpo to Vietz.
05:39Simikas is out on that touchline.
05:41That's a good combination.
05:43Vietz has a look up.
05:45Checks back.
05:46Can he deliver a final pass?
05:47He went for goal.
05:51Vietz, Goumas in the middle.
05:53McAllister in there as well.
05:55Gakpo.
05:56Neone with the effort.
06:00He just slipped as he struck the ball here.
06:03There are.
06:04Standing foot just went away from him.
06:06Still a good effort.
06:07Skidding across the surface.
06:11Boy, he's just going wide, wasn't it?
06:13It'll be his first senior goal, that.
06:20And McAllister.
06:25Ngamora.
06:27Left-back committed himself.
06:28Ngamora's away.
06:29Could have gone down there.
06:30Baited into the middle.
06:31McAllister.
06:32Liverpool have turned the game on its head.
06:34From 2-0 down there, 3-2 up.
06:36And he's been brilliant.
06:42And so too has that man there, Ngamora.
06:46Ian Rush looks on.
06:48But it's really good wing play.
06:51Not great from the left-back Cardona.
06:53Tried to make the interception.
06:54Got it all wrong.
06:56Here's the switch of play.
06:59Cardona thinks he can win it.
07:02Doesn't do so.
07:03Ngamora shows a bit of pace to go beyond Foyt.
07:06And McAllister makes the right run.
07:08And the composure at the end of it from Ngamora is excellent.
07:13And the comeback is complete for Liverpool.
07:17Never lost control of the game.
07:19He rarely does, Simon Marciniak.
07:23Gone back by Simikas.
07:26Gakbro having a look.
07:27Wietz is in the middle.
07:28Could have a shot here.
07:29Florian Wietz!
07:304-2.
07:32Game is Liverpool's now.
07:35Two goals in three minutes.
07:41Well, in the first half, Villarreal played around pressure.
07:45They found space in midfield.
07:46That's not the case now.
07:49Rio Ngamora.
07:51Shining star.
07:55They can't stop him.
07:56They don't know how to deal with him.
08:02And that losing streak of games in Europe.
08:05They do something reckless here.
08:07They're going to lose.
08:08You see Perez nudged it through.
08:10And Alisson has to make the save.
08:18That's a nice little turn by Ossie Perez.
08:21He's gone for the return this time.
08:23The flag stays down.
08:24Opportunity at the far post.
08:26And in.
08:27Tani Oluwese.
08:304-3.
08:32Terrific entertainment.
08:37You'll feel that Tevilla-Real have thrown it away after their bright start.
08:40And Liverpool's manager will feel worried about the defending.
08:43Well, Van Dijk.
08:45That's it.
08:47Well, an entertaining night.
08:49Nicotate and Cardona put Real 2-0 up after 28 minutes.
08:54Crucial header by McAllister.
08:56Half the arrears.
08:57Allow her on the stroke of half-time.
