07:36We deserve better. And because we are Texans, we deserve the best. Right?
07:44I launched this campaign talking about something my grandmother always told me.
07:49She always said, Gina, no te dejes. No te dejes. Know your worth and fight to defend it.
07:57And Texans are a no te dejes kind of people.
08:03And that is why, come November, I will end, we will all end, Greg Abbott's 30-year political career.
08:23And when I am governor.
08:30And when I am governor, my agenda will be to secure the American dream.

08:40The American dream that I grew up understanding where if you worked hard, you could have a good life.
08:48Remember that you work a full-time job. You could afford to own your own home.
08:55You could afford to put healthy food on the table.

09:10And retire with dignity.
09:14That's it. That's it. That is the deal.
09:17That is the American dream.
09:19The American dream is ours for the taking.
09:22We are a world economic powerhouse.
09:24We just have to demand it.
09:30In Texas, we secure the American dream by saving Texas public schools and putting money in your pocket.
09:41We fight for our public schools because they're important to our kids, our families, our community.
09:47But we fight for our public schools because they are essential for the American dream.
09:59Our public schools are the gateway, the opportunity to the American dream.
10:04Our public schools tell every Texas child, you can be anything you want to be if you work hard.
10:11Make some noise if you are a proud product of Texas public schools.
10:24Our public schools are who we are as Texans.
10:28They are enshrined in our Texas constitution as being essential to our liberties.
10:33They are Friday night lights.
10:34They are the biggest employer in so many of our counties.
10:38And they're barely hanging on.
10:41They are barely hanging on.
10:43And when I am governor on day one, I will fire Mike Morath, the Texas Education Agency Commissioner.

11:03I'm sure he's a nice man.
11:05Don't get me wrong.
11:06But he has put us on the wrong track.
11:10We need to appoint an educator to be our Texas Education Agency Commissioner.
11:19I will wipe thing Greg Abbott's corrupt vendor contracts and use that money to pay our teachers
11:24to be amongst the highest pay in the nation.
11:32I will pause the A through F accountability system that is based on a rigged star test and call
11:41on the legislature to deliver a bill that brings true accountability to our public schools.
11:49I want you to raise your hand if you are a public school teacher or if you work in a
11:55public school.

13:13Just to make enough money to make ends meet and pay their bills.
13:20There is no shame in doing that because Texans will do whatever it takes to provide for our families.
13:27But it shouldn't take that.
13:29It shouldn't take that.
13:32$1,500 to every Texas household.
13:35Unlike Trump's plan, we actually have the money in Austin.
13:41It's in the rainy day fund.
13:43We take it back down to historic levels.
13:44Send the rest to the people of Texas.
13:46Because that money doesn't belong to the politicians.
13:48It belongs to the people.
13:54I will freeze electricity rates and make sure the corporations, including the data centers,
14:01pay their fair share.
14:10I want to assure every Texas child has quality health care.
14:16We have the most uninsured children of any state in America.
14:23It is a sin.
14:24We can do better and we will do better when I am governor.
14:31And for those of us with health insurance, we pay more and it's harder to see the doctors
14:35we need, get the medication we need.
14:37I will ban bad faith denials in the state of Texas.
14:44Because listen, we're not here asking for handouts.
14:48And nobody here is asking for handouts.
14:50No.
14:51We're asking for what we already paid for.
14:54We are asking for what we already worked for.
14:59Because we know our worth.
15:01We know our power.
15:03But the thing about power is that nobody's going to give it to us.
15:07Are they?
15:08No.
15:08We have to take it back.
15:10And that's what this election is about.
15:13Taking back that power for the people of Texas.
15:16But we need to turn out in numbers we've never seen before.
15:20We need everybody.
15:21Call your prima.
15:22Call your sister.
15:24Text them.
15:25When you go vote, take your neighbor.
15:27Remember, it's those little things that we can each and every one of us do to run up the score
15:32in San Antonio.
15:35Because we have a chance in a generation in this moment in history that we all feel deep in our
15:44souls that we are in.
15:46It is a moment we did not ask to be in.
15:50But it is a moment that has chosen us.
15:54Each and every one of us.
15:57And in this moment in history, we are each and every one of us called to do everything we can
16:04to meet this moment.
16:06And I am so honored to be in this moment, in this fight with you.
