00:00At the beginning of the film, it's said that people want desired normality, but Josie chooses Clara precisely because she's
00:09different. Do you think that younger generation might be able to reverse this trend?
00:15I have a lot of faith in young people. I think they take preserving things very seriously and they're interested
00:23in things that are human made. It's kind of their way of being rebellious and fighting against what's being pushed
00:31on them. I have faith in young people. I think anytime we've looked back at younger generations, they usually have
00:39a good understanding of how foolish the previous ones are being in front of them.
00:43Yeah, I think that if they put the phones down and spend some time outside the house and hanging out
00:49together, yeah, absolutely. And I'm not saying that every young person is like that. I think that it's just a
00:55very common thing now that we are. And grown-ups as well. We're all very disconnected with each other because
01:03we're constantly looking at these things. It's just an ability, I think, to focus and listen.
01:10There is also an ecological message in the movie. Do you think that we should learn to rediscover the world
01:17and the nature like Clara does?
01:21I think we need to fight to protect our nature. I think there's a lot of big corporations and businesses
01:29coming in that only know to want more and more and to take and take and take and never feel
01:35truly satisfied. And I think that part of our job in being human and being a part of society is
01:41protecting what is real and true because it's all we have.
01:45You play an artificial friend by you seems really human to me in this movie. I would like to ask
01:52you how did you work to let your character let us to feel that humanity?
02:01Yeah, it was really important to Taika that the robots felt like humans. He felt it was an advanced enough
02:08world and just wanted, because Clara's sort of the heart or like the positive bit of the story, it just
02:17needed to be, she needed to be somebody that the audience could latch on to.
02:22So the robotic elements came more so in the physical comedy and sort of her messiness and misunderstanding of the
02:30house and the wheat fields and also just silly things like not being able to breathe or reacting a second
02:38too late, just being very innocent in a world that was so far ahead of her, but she catches up,
02:46I think.
02:46Thank you.
02:46Thank you.
