Vinayakan’s performance as Varman in Jailer (2023) was one of the film’s biggest highlights. His menacing screen presence, unpredictable behaviour and effortless portrayal of a ruthless gangster made Varman a memorable antagonist who could hold his own alongside Rajinikanth. Without relying on exaggerated mannerisms, Vinayakan brought a raw intensity to the character, making every scene feel threatening and unpredictable.
