Swedish hypercar manufacturer Koenigsegg is famous for pushing automotive engineering to extreme limits. In 2009, founder Christian von Koenigsegg wanted to move beyond traditional black carbon fiber. His engineers developed a proprietary coating process that transformed raw carbon fiber into a sparkling, diamond like silvery white.

The resulting composite material was named Koenigsegg Proprietary Diamond Weave. Applying this treatment was exceptionally difficult and time consuming. Because each individual carbon fiber strand had to be coated before weaving, the failure rate and complexity were immense.

Koenigsegg initially planned to build three units of this special edition model, naming it Trevita, which means three whites in Swedish. However, due to the extreme difficulty of manufacturing the diamond weave, only two cars were ever produced worldwide.

One of the two Trevita models was famously bought by boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. for nearly five million dollars, making it one of the rarest and most expensive road legal hypercars in modern history.
