Upon returning home, Eliana Snow, the long-lost heiress of the Snow family, finds herself betrothed to the Lonsdale family by her grandmother. Eliana tactfully objects, "I beg your pardon, but the man I intend to marry is the fifth young master of the Hewston family, Landon Hewston!" Her grandmother scoffs, doubting Eliana's worthiness. Suddenly, a chilling voice echoes into the room, "Madam Snow looks down upon my fiancée?" The entire Snow family is shocked.
