00:00.
00:04Poison by their Europa League victory over Crystal Palace.
00:07Lyon are looking to go top of the league tonight.
00:10Even a slender victory over Nice would be enough to take
00:12Paolo Fonseca's team above PSG on goal difference.
00:18You have to go back 5 years to see Lyon side top of the table
00:22after seven matches but Fonseca's team have a very real chance.
00:26They've shown character already this season. It's their 13th match.
00:31They've had six European fixtures to negotiate as well as six Lyon games.
00:37Little wonder. Fonseca is rotating his side.
00:42Neat changes tonight from the Thursday night contest against Palace.
00:50Nice winning under Olivier Pontelloni, victorious in their last two matches.
00:55Couple of good scouts as well at the Allianz Riviera.
01:02Passed off by Waii for Boudaoui.
01:04Now Vincent.
01:09Close.
01:11The ball from Jonathan Close. Big chance.
01:13And Nice with their first opportunity have taken the lead.
01:17Clinical from Eli Waii.
01:24Well it had been Paul Lyon inside these first 17 minutes.
01:30But we know that Nice have got some outstanding players.
01:35Jonathan Close showing off his crossing ability there and Eli Waii doing exactly what he has been brought in to
01:43do.
01:44It started with Mohamed Amoura getting away from Atakame.
01:52He's switching the play across to the right hand side.
01:56Close looking up and the quality of this pass absolutely outstanding.
02:01Nelly Waii managed to anticipate.
02:05Nipped in front of the defender and his rider.
02:08Classy finish.
02:13That is what Nice have been doing in recent matches.
02:18Good Ash.
02:20Nice testament.
02:30Now Kyle Boudaoui again in the box.
02:32Maybe a shot here for Lyon.
02:34Good save.
02:36Yvonne Joost reacting brilliantly.
02:38A ton of testament to this out on the home world cup.
02:41Part of the United States plans in the build-up.
02:48Piranville with the shot.
02:50Oh this time Dufus felt it and Schultz scores.
02:54Pavel Schultz ever the predator.
02:57Gets Lyon back on level terms.
03:03That's two goals.
03:07For Pavel Schultz in the last three days.
03:09What a winner against Crystal Palace.
03:11And he's got another important goal here for Lyon.
03:18Yvonne Joost will be disappointed.
03:20He didn't do better.
03:24In dealing with Duranville's shot.
03:26Good play from the young Belgian.
03:28But Joost either needs to hold it.
03:30Or push this ball to safety.
03:32He's done neither.
03:33And has instead gifted the Czech Republic international.
03:37An opportunity.
03:39Schultz accepted.
03:40And it's Lyon one.
03:41Nice one.
03:51Really nicely done by Pavel Schultz.
03:54Not you.
04:09And it's two.
04:12Two goals for Lyon in the space of three minutes.
04:16And Fonseca's men have turned this one around.
04:19The American international Tana Tessman.
04:23Back in the starting line-up tonight.
04:28It's his first league and start of the campaign.
04:31And he marks it with a goal.
04:41And what a turnaround here at the Group Armour Stadium.
04:46At the Kame's delivery is superb.
04:50Tessman times his run.
04:52And then heads it absolutely beautifully.
04:55No chance for Dürth.
04:56And Lyon 2-1 up now.
05:08Now Ponte Loney cannot believe it because the plan was going perfectly up until five minutes ago.
05:15Good ball game.
05:16No penalty.
05:17And that will be half-time at the Group Armour.
05:21Lyon looked to be in a spot of bother when Elie Wai put the visitors in front on 18 minutes.
05:26But Pavel Schultz got Lyon level soon after the half-hour.
05:31And then Tana Tessman.
05:34Lyon 2-1 ahead then against Nice.
05:3745 minutes left in this one as the home side look to clinch a victory that would take well.
05:43Put them to the top of the standings.
05:46Football from Nice.
05:47Budawi now fighting Kunku.
05:49And Kunku with the shot.
05:52This is more like it from Nice.
05:54All of a sudden they're giving it a go and they're causing Lyon real problems.
05:59And Kunku's left-footed effort just sliced wide in the end.
06:09Lecon getting a touch.
06:23He's giving it away.
06:25Close.
06:25Chance here maybe.
06:27Amoura.
06:27Amoura on his left foot.
06:30Reflected wide.
06:31More desperate defending from Lyon who are putting themselves in trouble really.
06:37Mata did well to get that block in.
06:42Looses out.
06:44And now Elie Waite.
06:46Looking to threaten the Lyon goal.
06:49Put the line.
06:52Line inside for Witzel.
06:55No foul on Axel Witzel.
06:57Deflection though.
07:00Dowie it was pulling the trigger from 25 yards.
07:03That could have looked dangerously over Dekok's head.
07:13Red card.
07:16Nakamura has been sent to the stands.
07:19Only been on the pitch for a few minutes.
07:24There's been an undercurrent in this second half.
07:29We've seen yellow cards for Nice players.
07:32But it is Lyon's Keaton Nakamura who has been shown a red.
07:38Let's have a look.
07:39He's looking at the ball.
07:42Of course he is.
07:43He's focused totally on the ball.
07:44But his leg is very, very high.
07:47He's not in control of his action.
07:50Because he just doesn't see Abdul Monham coming.
07:52And it's a painful blow.
07:58Well, Lyon were already on the back foot and up against it.
08:01They're down to 10 men now for the last 20 minutes.
08:18Miyakate trying to make the case.
08:22Nakamura.
08:23Explaining how it was accidental.
08:25It was accidental, but...
08:29That is not enough.
08:32You have to be in control of your body out on the football pitch.
08:36If you're going to raise your foot that high, you need to know what's going on around you.
08:40And it is tough.
08:43Because he was just trying to bring this ball down under control, but...
08:49It's a real problem for Lyon.
09:07Wahid.
09:08Shot on Ferrelli, Wahid.
09:09Can't get that one right.
09:31I thought it was Wahid.
09:32Had it been Wahid, it may have ended up in the back of the net.
09:35Oh!
09:39Oh!
09:40Oh!
09:45Oh!
09:45That's coming again.
09:47They've given it a real go in this second half.
09:49Here's Morgan Saint-Sức.
09:51Saint-Sức.
09:51Saint-Sức is good and it is anyway.
09:56Nice have done it in the 3rd minute of added tie.
09:59And the man who just loves scoring against Lyon has done it again.
10:03Machin avait to아olo.
10:09Lyon fought...
10:11They dug in with 10 men, but their resistance has been undone right at the death.
10:20Quality from Morgan Sanson.
10:24Question marks here though, about the positioning of Y.
10:27Is he onside or is he just off?
10:31VAR will be looking, he's finished beautifully.
10:40Getting ahead of his marker for the second time tonight and finishing.
10:49Lyon 2, Nice 2, Lyon denied top spot.
10:55Assuming this goal stands.
11:00Paolo Fonseca cannot believe it.
11:09The goal is, it's being checked.
11:13And it is really close this, it is really close.
11:25It's unclear, it's unclear as to what the decision is.
11:39No goal, Eliway is offside.
11:44Drama at the Group Armour Stadium.
11:47It's brilliant.
11:48Joy for the Lyon fans.
11:50Heartbreak for Nice.
11:53They've thrown everything at Lyon in this.
12:03They're not roaring to the top, Lyon.
12:06But Lyon have gone to the top of the league tonight.
12:10They've survived a late scare against Nice.
12:13They've held on with 10 men.
12:17And that is the final win.
12:19So Lollipil and Ace take on three points.
12:20With Alamacic 2-1 a victory over Nice.
12:23Goals from Paolo Succin.
12:24Tanner Tessman complete the comeback.
12:26And despite the late scare,
12:27with Arisa Laud equalizer, Lyon hold on.
12:30And most importantly...
