Jasmine Lupton, a dedicated employee for two years, shared a deep bond with her grandmother, who had raised her. After her grandmother's passing, her request for bereavement leave was denied by her boss, Miles Jekyll, who cited non-immediate kin and project deadlines. Threatened with performance cuts and forced to resign, Jasmine courageously wore mourning clothes at work, participating in her grandmother's funeral via video call from her desk.
