00:01You know that feeling when a voice walks into the room and the whole house goes quiet?
00:06That's what good jazz vocals do.
00:09Problem is, a lot of those audiophile discs cost more than a decent dinner.
00:13So I went digging, and I found the best jazz vocal CDs under $17.
00:19Five of them.
00:20All sealed, all rated 5 stars, all cheap enough to grab a couple without feeling it.
00:26Let's go through them.
00:28First up, the Japanese Jazz Vocal CD, 50th Anniversary Edition, High Fidelity Audiophile Disc.
00:35This one's a Japanese pressing, and if you've ever heard one, you know what that means,
00:39clean mastering, quiet background, vocals sitting right where they should.
00:4350 years of a label's catalog curated down to the good stuff.
00:47It's $15.52, it's sold over 4,600 times, and every single review is 5 stars.
00:55That's not luck.
00:57Worth buying because it's the safest blind pick on this list.
01:01Next, the brand new sealed audiophile jazz female vocal CD, the one with that stunning
01:06magnetic voice, marketed for hi-fi audio testing.
01:09And honestly, the description undersells it.
01:12This is a female vocalist with real presence, the kind of recording you put on to show off
01:17your speakers to a friend.
01:19Silky mids, natural breath, nothing harsh.
01:23$15.91, 4,597 sold, 5-star rating across the board.
01:29If you want one disc that makes your system sound more expensive than it is, this is it.
01:35Third, the Songbird Collection, brand new, sealed, audiophile female vocal, and it's not just jazz.
01:42Jazz, folk, blues, pop, all on one disc, all with hi-fi sound quality.
01:47This is the one for people who don't want to sit through a whole album of the same mood.
01:52It moves.
01:54Ballad, then blues, then something with a little swing to it.
01:58$15.61, 4,323 sold, 5-stars.
02:03Great pick if you like variety and you want something that holds up on repeat listens.
02:08Then there's the Macy Gray 1, the world's greatest audiophile vocal recordings, volume 2.
02:14Yes, that Macy Gray.
02:17That rasp, that tone, captured the way audiophile labels capture things.
02:22Unreal texture.
02:24And it's the cheapest thing here at $13.98.
02:294,272 sold, 5-stars.
02:32If you're building a little collection and you want a name you already recognize next to the obscure imports, start
02:38here.
02:39Under 14 bucks for a record like this is genuinely a steal.
02:43So that's the list, 5 jazz vocal CDs, all under $17, all brand new and sealed, all sitting at 5
02:50-stars.
02:51Links to every one of them are in the description below.
02:54Grab the one that fits your system, or grab two, they're cheap enough.
02:59If this helped you, hit like and subscribe, more of these coming.
