"The Bottom-Ranked Student Is Secretly an Ace Pilot" is an adrenaline-pumping sci-fi mecha, academy action, and underdog comeback short drama series. Our male lead is constantly ridiculed and bullied at the elite Imperial Flight Academy, officially labeled the "bottom-ranked student" due to his terrible performance in standardized flight simulators. Arrogant noble students and elitist instructors treat him like a disgrace destined to be expelled.
What the academy fails to realize is that the standard simulators cannot handle his extraordinary neural reaction speeds! Outside class, he operates secretly under the callsign "Phantom"—the legendary, undefeated ace pilot of the frontier defense forces who has shot down hundreds of enemy battle cruisers while maintaining peace across the galaxy.
The heart-stopping climax explodes during the Academy Graduation Exhibition when an unexpected rogue alien armada breaches orbital defenses, disabling the instructors and elite students within minutes. Mind-shattering shock paralyzes the entire academy as the bottom-ranked student takes manual control of an experimental prototype fighter, executing impossible aerial maneuvers and obliterating the enemy fleet single-handedly. Landing on the runway under deafening applause, the true ace pilot reveals his identity.
