00:02they're looking forward to get another victory today three points that could mean everything
00:06in the chase of being the top one team here at the Ligue 1
00:16and Lille get us started match day seven in Ligue 1 it is third against eight
00:21Neil hosting Brest with Lille looking for a fifth win from seven
00:31and it would take them above PSG and Monaco at the top of the table
00:43back in the starting 11 I see Lueda picking up a foot injury in the 3-0 defeat against Arsenal
00:51but the home side do have Mbappe back from an ankle problem
01:09and the jock is penalised this time
01:16he clashed with Andre that time in the air
01:26Julien Lachuer suggested that Zinedine Zidane should call up Ludovic Jacques for the French team
01:36he was asked again if that was tongue-in-cheek but I reckon he's a real team player makes any
01:46team better
01:54and swinging low delivery helped on nicely there it's loose around the six-yard box
01:59lots of deflections and it's in the net
02:03what a start for Brest
02:12well they got a goal from a set piece early on in that 5-1 win over Angers last week
02:20and they've got a scrappy opener here
02:27well Lille had plenty of chances to get this one away
02:31they weren't able to do so in the end
02:33it was Gauthier-Laurice the centre-back who took a swing at it
02:39did it come off Baldy his teammate last
02:41number 17 it did you can argue over that one
02:46and it's Lille nil
02:49rest one
02:51what
02:52brilliant opening for the visitors
02:55arrows cross is blocked
03:00play rages on but
03:03referee is going to call it back
03:04he was trying to play an advantage but
03:06looks like it's another Lille free kick is it here
03:10the earlier challenge from Adjok
03:17last week
03:19Adjok headed home on nine minutes
03:21Toussaint on 17 from a corner
03:25scored a penalty on 30
03:26Baldy on 45
03:28it was 4-0 at half time
03:32Chantal's corner
03:33well delivered
03:40Mbappe wins the throw in for Lille
03:42they look vulnerable from set pieces
03:51there was a late challenge
03:52and Topont is going to his top pocket here
03:57yellow card on the way
03:58first of the game
04:04Mbappe saw it coming
04:08Dumbia sees yellow
04:17interesting to see how much contact there was here
04:21plenty
04:23distance were raised as well so
04:25like decision
04:26Mbappe
04:29now he's really motoring
04:32it's off Seldek and out
04:36Mbappe
04:38showing what Lille have been missing
04:48well he took Mbappe
04:49into his own hands here
04:52Mbappe
04:53handed off his man
04:56it was Magneti
04:57went down holding his face
04:59Seldek had to be alert there at the near post
05:02now
05:03to the back post with that cross
05:05not the best of clearances
05:08that's a good shot just wide
05:13what a moment that would have been
05:19well Brest unable to get it clear
05:22this was quite the hit
05:27youngster Goughy going close
05:37another foul in midfield here
05:41look how
05:42he's at the World Cup with
05:45one of the last Lille side
05:47to win the league back in 2021
05:51it's his foul
06:10shut up
06:12drops one in
06:13again Lille
06:15slow to clear
06:16that's a heel at six foot six
06:20easily able to
06:21get up and grab that one out of the air
06:37Mbappe
06:38Mbappe
06:39Mkau
06:44cross is lifted to the back post
06:46back where he hit it
06:47then Pero
06:49and Shotard
06:50gets it away
06:56middle trip from Mkau
06:58who scored against Brest last season
07:00in that three-hole draw
07:03and Brittany
07:04in match day one
07:06and he fouls
07:08Mbappe
07:09got two goals in that game for Brest
07:15Adelson finding some space
07:19and then Bacquat
07:21setting up Pero
07:23arriving late
07:24but shooting wide
07:27it's the youngster
07:29Maxima Goughy
07:31well-timed run this
07:35unable to guide it home though
07:41his second chance of the game
07:46helped on
07:47yet his header
07:48out of the penalty area
07:49Andre with the scuffed attempt
07:52Adelson for Bacquat now
07:56Bacquat
07:58and Pero's flick
08:00comes out of play
08:09looked good
08:10but
08:13Brest have got themselves
08:14in some difficulty here
08:16but Lille
08:16unable to take advantage
08:18Dumbia
08:20balanced to his play
08:21and again the referee
08:23Topin
08:25going to play advantage
08:31Dumbia
08:32Mali international
08:35gets the decision
08:39and not long after that
08:41the half-time whistle
08:42has sounded
08:47can Brest
08:49hold on to this lead
08:50it would be a very
08:52impressive result
08:52with the
08:54go north and win
08:56in Lille
08:56they're in a strong position
08:58heading into this
09:00second half
09:08Makao
09:09Mbappe
09:10that's
09:10fairly casual
09:12from him
09:12Makao was fouled
09:15couldn't
09:17make a proper effort
09:19to get on the end
09:20of this flick
09:24Makao
09:31Makao
09:32with a deep one
09:33free header
09:34at the back post
09:35and Yanzhou
09:37can't turn it
09:38into the net
09:39and the initial chance
09:41went to the captain
09:42Benjamin Andre
09:46he peeled away
09:47he got himself free
09:48Selvic
09:50helped it on
09:52and unfortunately
09:53for Lille
09:54Tanguy Nianzu
09:55and the good news
09:56for Lille supporters
09:57is that
09:58their substitutes
09:59have played a big part
10:01over the last year
10:02or so
10:05here's Makao
10:08Mbappe
10:09towards Giroud
10:12instinctive effort
10:14and it was
10:15the best he could do
10:16in that kind of position
10:18still got an effort
10:19on target
10:21Makao running
10:21through the middle
10:22he's timed it well
10:25he's going to break
10:27Makao Mori
10:28Dumbia here
10:29gets it back
10:30to Makao
10:33Makao
10:33Makao
10:34Makao
10:34Makao
10:34Makao
10:34Makao
10:34Makao
10:34Makao
10:35Makao
10:35Makao
10:37Makao
10:39will surely
10:40pick up a yellow
10:40for that challenge
10:41for that challenge
10:43for that challenge
10:48for that challenge
11:09and who goes down too easily who cow hits one and it rises too much from his
11:16point of view
11:22this was a decent chance here but we'll keep it down path and boot will be
11:29relieved having lost the ball support inside as well and another incident
11:36involving I'm only to be a free spotted it but
11:44and fell no yellow card Haraldson Mbappe always come down here and it's a penalty
11:52for Lille Bradley local got himself in a tangle there it's an Mbappe has been one
12:05of the bright sparks for the home team
12:10Lee forced the error here Haraldson with the pass
12:15and it was sharp footwork just enough contact was there
12:23now a chance for Lille Olivier Giroud back in the starting 11. 57 goals for France
12:32over a hundred caps for his country so much experience he's dealt with so many
12:39pressure situations in his career turned 40 at the end of September
12:49can he get Lille back in the game
12:52Giroud against Selvic
12:56and it's the perfect penalty
13:02class is permanent and Olivier Giroud
13:08sends a message to Tiago Santos
13:12the Lille player who suffered a cruciate ligament injury last week
13:16and will be out for the long term
13:20well Giroud he's been around a long time
13:24and that is as good a penalty as you'll see a slight slip
13:31but he still found the top corner Selvic went the wrong way anyway
13:35and it's Lille one breast one
13:40two goals and two assists now in the league
13:44bad going after getting seven goals in Ligue 1 last season
13:52local from range and that trails harmlessly wide
14:03after some good play from Dion
14:10Mbappe
14:13what a run
14:16fouled by Magneti
14:18well placed again
14:23a great position this for a free kick
14:25can he go better this time
14:28former Tottenham and Newcastle man
14:36local
14:37it's behind the wall
14:39it's Benteleb
14:41Selvic with the save
14:43tipped back in and Selvic holds on
14:50Nabil Benteleb
14:52hit the woodwork last week
14:55Lille have a lot more about them now
15:00lots of little fouls racking up
15:05Lens 3-1 up at Troyes by the way
15:16Magneti
15:21and finally some relief
15:23for Brest
15:24they've been under the cosh
15:28Magneti taking a breather
15:30after going down
15:33following this challenge from Benteleb
15:36it's a super pass from Benteleb for Mbappe
15:46Benteleb for Mbappe again
15:48former PSG man did well
15:51Haraldson
15:52Kierga
15:57Lille will keep pushing
16:00let's Kierga
16:02it's on the pitch a minute or two
16:10now is he on side here
16:11real chance
16:16and he got nowhere near in the end
16:18what an opportunity that was for young Ibrahim Kante
16:21timed his run to perfection
16:23really good long ball forward as well
16:26the Champions League next again at home for Lille
16:30and then
16:32in eight days time
16:35they go to Monaco
16:37league leaders coming into round seven
16:39Mbappe
16:40for Haraldson
16:42lifted to the back post this time
16:44now it's Benteleb
16:46he wants a shot
16:49maybe
16:50wasn't the right choice in the air
16:53Mijuru trying to tell Haraldson where to put it
17:00Haraldson with the corner
17:02punched away by Selvich
17:04get it back in
17:06and a jock
17:07skies one
17:10difficult for Loco to deal with it but
17:14eventually gets the ball away from
17:16M'Goy
17:17who's stayed forward
17:19real centre-half
17:21jock
17:22powerful header away
17:30sent back in long
17:33Brest are happy enough with that approach
17:36Nonget
17:37he's done well here
17:41and they're committing players to this attack
17:44it's three on three
17:45the shot is on target
17:47well saved by Gill
17:52Brest are
17:53trying to be brave in possession
17:57there's another yellow here
18:01it's time for Lille
18:07and it's gone to Verdunc
18:15it was late on shut-off
18:21Benteleb's free kick
18:24another good header away from Loris
18:26it's still there for Lille
18:28and what a chance in the end
18:31Selvich holds on
18:34Tungi Nianzu
18:36had the chance to win it for the home team
18:46the roar goes up
18:49we're into the final 60 seconds
18:52this Lille much improved
19:04Haraldson
19:06Benteleb
19:09didn't catch that cleanly
19:14Mbappe
19:15yet he read it well
19:17Hugo Magneti
19:18the captain
19:20is carrying it forward now for Brest
19:22they're almost there
19:23Benteleb though with a good tackle
19:25a jock
19:26from Magneti again
19:34well having led early
19:36Brest
19:36cling on for a point
19:39it was a brilliant second half
19:41between these two
19:42Mama Baldé's opening goal
19:44after six minutes
19:45had Lille chasing the game
19:51and that'll do it
19:53from uh
19:53the CEPI Marot
19:54where Lille had
19:55Stevestois share the points
19:56after an entertaining 1-1
