After her husband dies, Maeve Gallagher's sexist mother-in-law, Beatrice Sullivan, conspires with trafficker Gimpy Barnes to kidnap her granddaughter, Lily. Bought by Director Charles Kensington, Lily is renamed Audrey Kensington and brainwashed into despising her birth mother. Maeve's grueling search leads her to Audrey, only to be met with insults.
