00:16front here. Thank you. Yeah really disappointed with that I guess is where to start. I think
00:29when I said that we were coming here because I believe we could take points I did I did
00:33believe we could so disappointed that we haven't firstly secondly proud of what the
00:40players gave of course I think they takes a lot to come here and to keep yourself in
00:47the game for that long and they did they gave absolutely everything they were
00:51fully committed to what we tried to do there were I think we could have done
00:55better to be honest I think there were some bits that we could have done better
00:57that would have maybe swing some of those swung some of those fine margins in our
01:03favour but yeah they're an incredible group like to I said I've said this in
01:08all interviews so far but to get to stand at the front and represent the team like
01:13that that works like that those players on the grass the support in the stand
01:18triple tier support today away at Manchester City players giving everything 102
01:23minutes um is a is a real yes it's a privilege really to stand there and represent them because
01:30they're an incredible group so really proud of what they gave um and hopefully we can take
01:35belief from it so next time that we face something like this maybe we can be a little bit more
01:40assured in in certain moments another 90th minute goal for the collection yeah it was um not quite as
01:49impactful um but yeah we the second goal against this is the one that really annoys me I can accept
01:57the first and the third one because the game there will be some chaos in the game and the game
02:00will get
02:00open at some point and you know if it does then likes of Foden and Doku and Harland and
02:08um Fernandez or they they can hurt you uh the second goal was something that we'd worked on a lot
02:14so
02:14that one was the one that that really annoyed me um and then maybe just at the end some quality
02:20in those
02:21last moments where we we were the place was a bit anxious you managed to get the ball in the
02:26final third
02:26a little bit a combination of us not quite being uh good enough in those moments and the linesman
02:34keep wrongly putting his flag up which is mad infuriating in fact I know it's just nothing
02:41against the officials I think they did some good stuff today and I've got a good relationship with
02:45them spoke to them all afterwards no problem but when you're only getting six or seven attacks at the
02:50Etihad to lose three of them to wrongly given offsides is tough to take like momentum wise
02:56there's Dara O'Shea's header uh him nor Issa are offside Abdul Atara running underneath uh Abdul
03:03Fataru isn't offside um so little bits like that us for the second goal uh a couple of bits where
03:10we
03:10should do better with the ball um just meant that we fell a little bit short um but we can
03:16be proud
03:16of what we gave the players should be proud I think it's uh it's another game where we've gone and
03:20shown
03:20everybody that we can compete um but unfortunately we we leave on nine points which is what we came
03:26with and we wanted to do better than that but I I can sign up for that if the lads
03:30are going to give
03:31that every week like I've said to you before I'm more than happy to stand on the side and be
03:34right
03:34with them so um let's get ready for a tough game again next week against against not in the forest

03:47I've used that a lot actually I've used that exact set up three times against Manchester City uh we beat
03:55them at home at Wolves with the exact same uh we lost in the 95th minute to a corner at
04:01home at Wolves
04:02the following season and then we we went close today um yeah I think it's unique it is very compact
04:10and very low um which is out of respect for the quality that you're up against and as you saw
04:15if
04:16you if you do open up and you do give them spaces they can hurt you quickly um so I
04:20thought that it
04:21would give us the best chance today of staying in the game of course it means you're deep in the
04:25pitch
04:25low in the pitch and you end up having to defend your goal a bit um which we did well
04:29all but all but
04:30the second goal um and then it kept us in it long enough that we could gradually start to get
04:36more
04:36aggressive towards the end and try and start to have a few swings at them um and unfortunately we
04:42didn't didn't quite land enough but um no I thought it went well and it is something that I've used
04:46before and I'm sure it's something that I use again to be honest I much prefer being the more
04:51aggressive team and the team that tries to take it to the opposition but understand the nature of the
04:56challenge and more than happy to just do whatever it takes for this team to have the best
05:00chance of winning every weekend just finally yeah yeah slight groin um we'll be fine for next week
05:08uh it was important today that we didn't take any unnecessary risks with him I'm sure he would
05:13have loved to have been out there with us but he's uh was feeling he's growing a little bit so
05:16he's
05:17expected back on the grass in the early part of this week probably Monday um and we expect to see
05:23him with us on on Friday against Nottingham Forest
05:32yeah good goal good goal so we practiced we let we we played Dazan a little bit higher today with
05:37the
05:37ball than normal um normally we'd have him down a bit or on the outside um Manchester City obviously
05:43play a very high line um and we knew that we would maybe be able to hurt that with Dazan
05:49and
05:50then his speed uh especially if we could get one of the fullbacks out so we ran for the goal
05:54we
05:55managed to get Niko O'Reilly jump into Abdul Atara and then Abdul puts a fantastic ball in the space
06:00for Dazan and he uses his speed and physicality and a good finish so a good goal for us we
06:04maybe
06:05didn't quite have enough of those moments but obviously we are up against a uh a fairly strong
06:10side um but we did still look a threat at times and we did look resolute and together
06:15um and just when you thought all the game might get away from them a little bit we we managed
06:20to
06:21find another gear subs helps again kept us right in the game um and then we leave disappointed which
06:27is something I guess you mentioned the sort of flags uh towards the end yeah
06:32I mean the the kind of instruction is that they shouldn't flag did what did they say yeah no I
06:39I obviously it's difficult for I understand I have to referee sometimes in training and it's basically
06:44impossible the lads moan at me forever whatever I give the lads moan um so I understand how difficult
06:50it is uh and and giving off sides like it's not easy they're tight they are tight um and I
06:56spoke to the
06:58the linesman and he just said I did wait and then once the attack lost some momentum
07:02I put my flag up I didn't think it had lost momentum enough I think Jack Clark being on the
07:07ball on the edge of the box is still a goal scoring opportunity I think Abdul Atara being on the
07:12ball
07:12still around their box um and then that that's fine the pro but then they're both wrong anyway so
07:19neither of them were offside so normally I probably wouldn't have even mentioned it but it feels big
07:25today because every little bit that you get here makes a difference because they're so hard to come by
07:31them opportunities that to have a couple taken away from your feels big um but also on us we we
07:37made
07:37some poor decisions in those situations so can't moan about the officials really and and and not talk
07:42about the decisions that that we got wrong as well so officiating was fine penalty decision was strange
07:48a fault was fairly blatant a fault so surprised that didn't get given on field but that's what the
07:54the technology is here for and at least we got we came to the right conclusion we'll just finish over

07:58lastly can i just ask about your general feelings about managing here against city with everything
08:04that's happened off the pitch obviously the atmosphere fell a little bit different with the
08:07bananas and the kind of the songs and stuff i mean did it feel any different to you have you
