00:04Cheers guys, we won't have enough time to get through everyone but we'll do one and move on please.
00:07If you want to get started.
00:11Good performance, a good performance from us.
00:15Disappointed to lose the game, felt we deserved something from it.
00:18Probably a draw I think as a fair result.
00:20And to come to City with the talent that they have, we all know the ability in their squad
00:24but I thought our defensive organisation was great.
00:27I thought we limited them maybe as much as you can do here to big big chances
00:32and we created three big ones of our own and some moments of pressure.
00:36The spirit of the team, as I say the organisation when you work through the week to try and stop
00:42spaces
00:42you're not working against Cherokee and Haaland and Semenyo and Foden so you never know
00:48but the players took on the challenge really really well and they're disappointed in there
00:52and so am I that we didn't get something.
00:54Do you think the five at the back might be a blueprint for you going forward in games like this?
00:59In games like this it's definitely an option for us because it stops spaces of players running through lines.
01:05City gets so many players with high talent on your back line, they're ready to run through it
01:08and they can take people out of the game with 1v1s all the time so it gave us a bit
01:12more security
01:13but individually amongst that we play well but I think it's something since I've been at the club
01:17we've played both systems and it's always something that's an option for us.
01:23Just on a transfer that was late and announced, you've signed Jan, I'm going to butcher his name,
01:28Boho here, can you give us an insight into where he will fit in and how soon he'll be ready?
01:35Well he's been playing, he didn't play to lose his last game but he's been playing so we feel he's
01:40ready,
01:41he hasn't been with us yet because of the situation last minute and the deadline,
01:45we had to wait a little bit but once we go back to training this week he'll be with us.
01:49A talented player who plays predominantly off the left side, can play number 10 behind the front
01:54and we just felt with a player that the club have looked at for a long time the opportunity arose
02:00on the deadline day
02:02and we're very pleased to have him, he gives us more options, Premier League squad needs options
02:06you see today, Radoni and Mason Clarke run their legs off for 60 minutes and then the next one comes
02:12in
02:12so for us to be able to add that sort of quality is a big thing.
02:22The fact that you haven't come away with a point, is that just the ruthlessness of the Premier League,
02:28the options that City have got and the chances that they take is just a different level?
02:32Yeah, I think it is and as I said we had our big chances, I never criticised players
02:39because I missed a lot of chances in my career and I understand pressure and what it can do for
02:44you
02:44I think Donnarumma makes two really big saves as well, which again is the level that you're going against
02:48and the goal, we can probably, can we stop the ball down the side of us, yes
02:52but then Semenyo's ability to find Haaland, who we know he can do that, is the brutal reality of it
02:59but we're not playing Manchester City every week, the Premier League is high, high level
03:04and we'll play different versions of quality against us, what's more important to the players today
03:09is that they take confidence out of the performance and we're disappointed to lose
03:13but in reflection there will be a lot of good taken out of it if we can, if we can
03:18use it in our mentality
03:19because going to Arsenal two weeks ago felt very different, it felt like our first game for 25 years in
03:24the Premier League
03:25today felt like a competitive Premier League team coming with a clear idea and a threat
03:29so we must take that forward.
03:32Frank, a lot will be said I guess about three straight defeats, not scored a goal
03:37you have, as you said, played perhaps the two hardest away games you can get to start with
03:41what do you say to the players to keep the spirits up, do you need to say anything at this
03:45stage of the season?
03:46No, exactly that, exactly that, I think we knew the fixture list was tough, we're disappointed to lose to Hull
03:52and it's no disrespect to Hull, they've got two great results but we controlled a lot of that game
03:57and they did to us what we tried to do to City today
04:00but I think it's all clear isn't it, these two fixtures Arsenal and Man City away are possibly the hardest
04:07on paper
04:08however many teams around the argument where we're going to be this season will do well to maybe come here
04:13and compete like we did
04:14it's my belief, they may do, who knows
04:16but what we can't do is lose belief in those, in three games and have zero points
04:21we have to take confidence from today and look forward and understand that there have been two very tough games
04:27but today we can walk out of here with our head held very high
04:30and we need to take that forward to Brighton next week
04:34Hi Frank, you were an England midfielder yourself, Elliot Anderson managed more passes than your entire team
04:41how did you see his performance today?
04:43Yeah, really good, he's a really really good player, I admire him from afar, I did at Nottingham Forest
04:50and seeing him close up, first time I've seen him in the flesh today
04:53very smart, very talented, very good player, good brain, everything from a midfield player
04:58and that's always going to be a fantastic player for Manchester City
05:01and yeah, he had a lot of the ball today which was, I don't think he could hurt us
05:06but he was constantly on it and yeah, I respect high level play like that, no doubt
05:11Cheers guys, thank you
05:12Brilliant, thanks all, thank you
