28:43Calm down. So, were those vines the real culprits all along?
28:49He's still in pain. I can tell. His mind's been thrown into chaos, and he can't communicate with me.
28:56It's because of the information inside him. I can feel it.
29:04He and I... are of the same kind, after all.
29:11Uh, what are you doing, Eggie?
29:16His body... has information from Oongin's circle within it.
29:23Do you remember how there were... moonlight vines growing near that terminal?
29:32You mean... he was the one who absorbed the information from there?
29:37Yes. That information... may contain details regarding Project Moongazer.
29:47That must be why I'm here.
29:52But... you'll be putting yourself in too much danger!
29:56Paimon, let Ninen go. She was born on the moon, and I was the one who, out of worry, sent
30:04her to a place thousands of miles away from home.
30:07She did everything possible to return here with your help, back to her homeland. All for the sake of her
30:14mission.
30:16That determination... it's remarkable. I don't think she wants to be protected, even if it's out of goodwill.
30:25But, Columbina... Paimon's worried precisely because she's trying so hard.
30:30You know, even though she's had her rebellious phase and hasn't shown Paimon any respect for a while now.
30:36And maturity is what follows that period of rebellion.
30:42Paimon... if you let me go...
30:45Paimon... I'll respect you so much... even the moon will seem less important by comparison.
30:54This guy's huge! What if he swallows you?
30:58Paimon... if that happens... then... that must also be part of my mission.
31:08You... oh... how stubborn can you get?
31:12Stubborn is one way to put it. But you could also say that this is a wish she holds most
31:17dear.
31:18That's right.
31:20Then go, Ninin. I have faith in you. Let this ray of moonlight bear witness to your choice. And bless
31:28you on your journey.
31:30Uh... this is...
31:38Thank you.
31:40Here I go.
31:58I... can... do... this...
32:23I...
32:25I did it.
32:29Looks like things aren't as bad as we feared.
32:32Huh...
32:32And thank goodness for that!
32:35Thank you.
32:38I've obtained some critical information.
32:42I know what transpired at Ungin's ring...
32:46And the space life-form capture station.
32:51Alright...
32:52What happened?
32:54I'm curious too.
32:55It all comes back to that mysterious signal from deep space.
33:01It finally appeared again...
33:04Many, many years after the dragon pioneer's passing.
33:10But...
33:12Even so...
33:14The moon-gazer tower he designed...
33:17The eye of Ibn-i-Bellum...
33:19Captured the coordinates of that second signal.
33:23Wait!
33:25He finally did it?!
33:26Awesome!
33:28So...
33:28Where did the signal come from?
33:31From the depths of space.
33:34Far, far away from the moon.
33:37So far away...
33:39That the spaceship could barely reach it.
33:43And even then...
33:45It would lack sufficient energy to return.
33:49But...
33:50Ungin...
33:51The life scientist...
33:53Chose to pilot a spaceship named Moongazer.
33:57And set out for those coordinates nonetheless.
34:01Wait!
34:02Did he go cocoa or something?
34:05Or was he not planning to come back?
34:09Perhaps...
34:10It was enough for him that he'd be able to decipher the signal.
34:15And at that distance...
34:18He might have been able to transmit his discovery back.
34:23So...
34:24What happened?
34:26He disappeared into the sea of stars.
34:30And the dragons did not receive any messages from Moongazer thereafter.
34:37So...
34:38He failed?
34:40No.
34:42Years later...
34:44The space life-form capture station...
34:47Was suddenly ramped...
34:49By an unknown object.
34:50After emergency repairs were complete...
34:55The researchers discovered...
34:58That the object that ramped the station...
35:01Was a cloaked spaceship.
35:05Cloaked?
35:07Like...
35:08Invisible?
35:09Could it have been...
35:12Yes...
35:13It was the Moongazer.
35:17Though...
35:18Why it was cloaked is a mystery.
35:22Oongian's wife...
35:23Magis...
35:25Was the first to enter the spaceship.
35:28But...
35:29She only found a round...
35:31Black...
35:32Spiky creature inside.
35:36Archealoon spectrometers...
35:38Indicated that the creature...
35:40Matched Oongian's data signature.
35:44Wh...
35:45What happened?
35:48Magis ran a series of tests...
35:51And thus discovered...
35:53That her lover was fusing with some unknown creature.
35:59Oh!
35:59That's terrifying!
36:01Was it the mysterious space life-form that had sent the signal?
36:06Did it eat Oongian?
36:07Could he still be saved?
36:11Unfortunately...
36:12The dragon researchers had never encountered such a situation before.
36:18At a loss...
36:20They could only watch helplessly...
36:22As Oongian transformed into an entirely new life-form.
36:28Then...
36:29Oongian awoke...
36:31And he passed a message to them.
36:38There...
36:39There...
36:39Is...
36:40No information about this.
36:43Ah...
36:44Seriously?
36:45There's still some missing intel?
36:48Oh...
36:49Hearing all this...
36:51Oongian had it super rough.
36:53He tried to capture an alien, but...
36:55Ended up getting caught himself!
36:58Hmm...
36:59That's not the case.
37:02The ship's logs show that the creature emitting the signal...
37:06Didn't attack Oongian.
37:10Instead...
37:11He was the one who chose to fuse with it.
37:14In this way...
37:16The creature was able to overcome the language barrier...
37:21And pass a message to the dragons.
37:24What a surprising turn of events.
37:27It seems that message may be the key to understanding Project Moongazer.
37:32I'm getting more curious about what it is by the moment.
37:40So...
37:41Was Oongian still alive after all that?
37:44After delivering the message...
37:47Oongian began to die.
37:51But...
37:51Magee's...
37:53Being an expert in life sciences herself...
37:56Used an experimental technique on him.
38:01One that could convert a life form...
38:03Into one composed of pure, ancient moon energy.
38:10Oh...
38:10That sounds a lot like the dragon's logistanization!
38:15So...
38:16Did she succeed?
38:17To an extent...
38:21She saved his body...
38:24And created Oongi...
38:26The first artificially birthed Kuhenki on the moon.
38:32But...
38:33Oongian's consciousness was completely lost during this process.
38:38From then on...
38:41From then on...
38:43She devoted all her energy to researching this new life form...
38:49Until her own lifespan came to an end.
38:54Then...
38:54She requested that her student...
38:58Blue Salim...
38:59Use the same technique on her...
39:03Ultimately being converted...
39:05Into a new life form...
39:07Just as with Oongian...
39:10Her consciousness was not preserved...
39:23So this is your story...
39:26If that's the case...
39:28I think that Lucilleen may have been the one to inherit the message that the creature from space transmitted to
39:33the dragons.
39:34Did he also establish a research facility somewhere?
39:38That's most likely where we'll find the key to Project Moongazer.
39:46Oh?
39:47Did you discover something?
39:56It was...
39:57Destroyed by a descender from beyond the heavens?
40:00In that case, I fear the Great Ruler of the Firmament is the likely culprit.
40:10A veil that could obscure the moon.
40:13That sounds very similar to the false sky.
40:17Yeah, like some sort of baby version.
40:21But his research institute has already been destroyed.
40:25He might have been lost in that explosion too.
40:29My guess is just the opposite.
40:31That Lusolem didn't perish, and that his research survived.
40:37Huh?
40:37Why do you say that?
40:40As you can see, apart from the Lunar Sea itself, none of the Draconic Facilities have been destroyed.
40:48Not the Eye of Ibn Belum, not Ungian Circle, not the Space Lifeform Capture Station.
40:55Their survival doesn't seem in line with the plan laid down by the one who changed the world.
40:59So, you're saying that Lusolem protected them somehow?
41:05Yes.
41:06He might have struck a bargain using the fruits of his research, and followed the ruler of the heavens thereafter.
41:13That makes sense.
41:15And if it's true, he might have continued Project Moongazer elsewhere.
41:20But where?
41:22I do know of one other place on the moon.
41:25If Project Moongazer was hidden anywhere, my guess is that would be it.
41:33However...
41:34Ninin, is there something you haven't told us?
41:40Huh?
41:42Among your kind, only you have a mission you seek to fulfill.
41:48Oh, that's true!
41:49Now you mention it, Peggy's buddies all seem super carefree.
41:54Don't worry.
41:56I won't force you to answer.
41:58I just...
41:59want to know more about you.
42:03After all, out of all the terminals we've seen,
42:07not a single one seems to contain information about you.
42:12I...
42:14I don't know either.
42:18It's okay.
42:19I'm just curious.
42:21If you don't want to talk about it, you don't have to.
42:25We trust you.
42:27What if I really am hiding something from you?
42:32I'm just...
42:35curious too.
42:38Hmm.
42:41Keeping secrets isn't always a bad thing.
42:44I learned that from a friend.
42:46But if I do get angry,
42:48I might take the hat I gave you back.
42:52And...
42:52Paimon will throw the snack she was saving for you into the lunar sea!
43:04Then I'll take your word for it, Ninin.
43:08Now...
43:09Please follow me.
43:12There's a base on the far side of the moon.
43:15My powers tell me that it's massive.
43:17I originally planned to save it for last,
43:20because cleaning it up would probably be exhausting.
43:24But now...
43:25I suppose it has to be moved up the schedule.
43:28I have a feeling we'll find the answers to our remaining questions there.
43:34Thank you...
43:37I...
43:38How can I...
43:40repay you...
43:41for all this?
43:43Look, Paimon.
43:45Don't you think Ninin's matured even more now?
43:48You're right!
43:50She's actually talking about paying us back!
43:53But...
43:53We're friends!
43:55So...
43:55There's no need for all that.
43:58Yes.
43:59She taught me that lesson, actually.
44:01You could stand to learn it too, Ninin.
44:06Well then...
44:07Follow me when you're ready.
44:25This should cover food and rent for a while.
44:29You!
44:31You!
44:33You!
