00:00I see William Saliba was on the grass just the other week, training individually, so he's obviously on the way
00:06to coming back.
00:07Esri Konza has obviously been in his place in the last few weeks and months.
00:11What has Esri done behind the scenes that's kind of shown you why you won in the first place?
00:16And what kind of challenge do you have now with Saliba coming back?
00:19Is there a big difference between the two?
00:20Does Saliba just walk back into the team or is there a bit of a challenge between the two players?
00:26Well, we knew the extent of Willy's injury and on top of that is the second one in a really
00:31similar area.
00:32So we didn't know exactly the time frames of that.
00:35So with the amount of games that we have, we needed a player with more seniority, a player that could
00:40adapt immediately to perform
00:42because we know how important that position is if you want to be competitive to win major trophies.
00:48He's done excellent, I think, without any precision.
00:51And the way he has adapted to everything that we ask him, which are two or three very different things
00:56with the previous team, shows, yeah, first of all, the personality that he had.
01:02I had no question because I did a lot of research and talked to a lot of the boys here
01:05about that.
01:07But I think he gives some composure and calmness that is really important.
01:11And the moment that they are both fit, great problem to have.
01:15And with injuries in general, obviously you've only had a couple recently, particularly number two in the warm-down.
01:21Compared to last season, obviously there's new staff in the injury department.
01:25It's early in the season, but is there any differences or anything you've learned new about injuries
01:28so far this season that you're adapting?
01:30Let's see. At the end of the season, we will have the proper one.
01:34Throughout the season, we will analyse in three or four different blocks what we are doing,
01:39the things that we have to improve, the things that are already stable,
01:43the things that still have to evolve,
01:45how everybody around has adapted to a new methodology and ambition
01:49and how we can get better from that.
01:51Hi, Michael.
01:53I saw your team photo with Wien Nadolka and messing around with her
01:59and how the reception she got for the players and how they do get the opportunity.
02:05They need to train more then.
02:07What I don't want is an excuse.
02:08I always tell them,
02:09No, but when I play, I lack.
02:11Yeah?
02:12So what do we do then?
02:13We send you on holidays?
02:14So you play, you have to be available.
02:16When you don't play, you have to make sure that you do everything you can to impact the team there.
02:21Because otherwise, the ones that are playing a lot, they say,
02:23No, but I don't perform because I'm tired.
02:24So then it's always an excuse.
02:26I hate excuses.
02:28We know the role.
02:29We know that the competitiveness that we need in the team is at the maximum level
02:34and they are doing amazingly well.
02:35I don't see any player that is playing that lacks rhythm or lacks this.
02:39Everybody is involved.
02:40Everybody has played minutes.
02:41And it will continue to be like this because they have really deserved that.
02:45So hopefully we can maintain that because it's a massive asset for us.
02:50When you signed Noni last year, there was a lot of discussion about him playing left as well as right.
02:56I think he played a few times on the left quite early, but then didn't that much after that.
03:02Obviously last week he played left.
03:03What's the thinking behind where he plays?
03:07Is that left position kind of what he can know about himself?
03:10Well, it's down to necessities as well.
03:13Sometimes more than probably tactical decisions so far with him.
03:18But I think he can play in both positions.
03:21He offers something completely different.
03:23Obviously now we have the necessity of a player on the left side with different qualities than Epps as well.
03:28Like we can complement all the other units that we have on the left-hand side.
03:33And it's great because he's comfortable there.
03:35He's enjoying playing there and he's doing well.
03:38So it's a good solution.
03:39Obviously all players need to earn their base in the team.
03:42Is he someone who might potentially benefit from a real run in consistency?
03:47He's been in there now for obvious reasons.
03:48Yeah, it will give the possibility to any player to give him two or three or four games in a
03:53row.
03:54I think everybody will appreciate that because they will get more familiar with the players,
03:58more minutes, more confidence.
04:00And if things go well, that's the ideal thing to do with all of them.
04:04And he had a few and he will have more minutes in the next few games.
04:07So I'm sure that we will start to see a closer version of Noni at the highest level.
