The male lead Fang Lei works at a well-known company. He is laid-back and generous, with an easygoing attitude. Despite his average looks and apparent lack of drive, he is well-liked by his colleagues because he is “easy to boss around.” One day, as Fang Lei arrives at work and clocks in, he sees Susan, a colleague with a "green tea" personality, angrily yelling at a girl. The girl, Tang Xiaoruo, just keeps apologizing while picking up the scattered files from the floor.
