Raised in poverty by her fishmonger mother, Caroline Vance has an incredible gift for fashion design. At the Senior Showcase, she is discovered by Charles Sterling, the Chairman of Scarlet House Group, and wins a major design contest. She soon learns Charles Sterling is her biological father, and that her stepmother Evelyn Bancroft conspired with the butler, Simon Fletcher, to murder her mother.
