00:00We found out about a foreign car that had been abandoned in the woods 20 years ago
00:04And we went on an adventure to bring it back to life. Come on, don't interrupt.
00:09Ticks, toads, it stinks out here. Honestly, we had a lot of problems on the way.
00:14Seriously, we found it. It's a Passat.
00:17Did we manage to save this classic car or did everything go wrong?
00:21Slavic bought some junk again.
00:23Das Auto.
00:25Hello, friends. It's me again. Vyacheslav is my love, or Via.
00:29And as you already guessed from the title of this video, today we are going to find, revive, basically everything
00:37we love, a car that has been, I think, for about 15 or 20 years.
00:41As usual, there's never any exact info because we found out about this from our subscribers.
00:46All right, let's go look for it. Why just stand around talking?
00:48The story, as usual, someone in Telegram on my Telegram channel where I chat with my subscribers, if you're still
00:55not subscribed there, it really hurts me, makes me sad, and it's just very depressing.
01:00Because we run that Telegram channel and we created it specifically to connect with our viewers, so if you're not
01:05subscribed yet, follow the link right now and subscribe.
01:09Anyway, on that very Telegram channel, someone wrote to me saying that in a certain spot, somewhere around this forest,
01:15they saw a car.
01:17Subscribers even sent me photos of this ride in our Telegram channel.
01:20Like, they saw it a long time ago, and they sent me the coordinates.
01:25It's just sitting there abandoned, and for what reason, nobody knows.
01:28No one can tow it out of there because no one can actually drive up to it.
01:32They say it's all off-road, the whole nine yards.
01:34I decided to go check out what kind of story we're actually dealing with here.
01:38Whether it's true or not, and we're faced with a couple of questions.
01:41The first one, will we be able to track down this car?
01:44Second, will we manage to start it up, bring it back to life, and so on?
01:47And the third question, will it even be possible to somehow pull this car out of here?
01:52Naturally, subscribers send me photos and coordinates in our Telegram.
01:55You can see it's nowhere near the highway.
01:57You have to head deep into the woods.
01:59But we'll go on foot so we don't get the Pathfinder stuck too soon.
02:03After all, we might still need it today.
02:06Well, just as I said, good thing I left the car behind.
02:10It's certainly not the toughest off-road conditions we've ever faced,
02:13but you could actually get stuck here.
02:16To be completely honest, you can get stuck anywhere.
02:19I've got plenty of skills for that.
02:21Getting out though, that takes even more skill.
02:24Well, around here, I don't know, look at this.
02:26Total mud, a proper quagmire, the whole deal.
02:29And judging by the looks of it, we have to head right over there,
02:31even deeper into the forest.
02:32And check it out, guys.
02:34Look at what I spotted.
02:34Look, I mean, damn it.
02:36Guys, my legs are sliding apart.
02:39There.
02:40Did you see that?
02:41So, I kept walking following this map.
02:43Here, look.
02:44Right over here is the point with the coordinates that our viewers,
02:46our subscribers sent us on our Telegram channel.
02:48So, Kaka will be searching for it somewhere within this radius.
02:53Like I said, we're moving forward and further along.
02:56Look, what the hell is that?
02:57What on earth is that?
02:58Some kind of airplane.
03:00Or what could that even be?
03:02I have no idea.
03:03If you're familiar with this, if you've ever seen anything like it on maps,
03:05let me know what it means.
03:06Or what if it's some kind of abandoned airplane?
03:09We might find not one, but two abandoned vehicles in the woods today.
03:12A car and an airplane.
03:14All right, let's go find at least something first.
03:16All right.
03:18Well, this is probably where we start to see why nobody's been able to recover the car
03:23we're looking for all this time.
03:25There it is, the swamp.
03:27Ah, damn, almost wiped out.
03:30Okay, and what do we do?
03:32We need to go that way.
03:34There's no other option because there's no way through over there.
03:36We need to somehow skirt around it like this.
03:39And that's the only way we'll reach the spot we're looking for.
03:42Although over there, you can jump across.
03:45Yeah, we need to get over there onto that tree.
03:48Basically, it's not that hard.
03:49I got in gym class.
03:51I had really good grades.
03:53Jump across.
03:54Well, how far is it?
03:55About three meters.
03:56Heck, I can jump five.
03:59With a running start.
04:00Are you serious?
04:01All right, clear the way, cameraman.
04:02We're going to jump now.
04:08No freaking way.
04:09What?
04:10Am I an idiot or something?
04:11I've got an idea.
04:12Maybe I chickened out on jumping, but I'm an engineer.
04:15I'm an engineer.
04:19I didn't chicken out, actually.
04:21I was thinking about the crew,
04:22the cameraman who wouldn't be able to jump over
04:24because they have so much equipment.
04:29That'll do!
04:31What?
04:32Got one?
04:38This is totally rotten already.
04:40There, I'll build a proper bridge out of this now.
04:43Totally awesome.
04:43Wait, who cut these trees down?
04:46Who else?
04:48Beavers.
04:49One, two, and like this.
04:52Three.
04:54That's it.
04:54We can go.
04:56Oh, darn it.
04:57Okay, here.
04:58Take this stick.
04:59Like that.
05:01Adjust this one here.
05:02Put this one over here.
05:04And that's it.
05:05We can go.
05:05Ah, crap.
05:06This is so stupid.
05:07Total cringe.
05:09All right.
05:09Last try.
05:10Okay, there.
05:11Now it's stable.
05:12Nice.
05:14Ah, damn it.
05:16I really should have just jumped.
05:19I need more building materials.
05:35The worst part is that on the photos and on all the maps, this swamp doesn't exist.
05:40All right, get out of the way, you stupid tree.
05:43Damn it.
05:44Get out of the way.
05:45There.
05:45This leg goes here.
05:47It's just not working, guys.
05:49Fuck.
05:50Oh, come.
05:51I tried so hard to build the bridge, and it didn't work out.
05:56There.
05:57Now that's more like it.
05:58One foot here, the other one here.
06:01Damn it.
06:02I should have jumped.
06:04I'm a pretty lousy engineer, it seems.
06:07There.
06:08There.
06:09There.
06:09Now we're talking.
06:11That's it, guys.
06:12Done.
06:13The most important thing is balance.
06:15There.
06:16I can do this.
06:17And take a step here.
06:20Can we reshoot that and pretend like I didn't fall into the swamp?
06:26Screw you, anyway.
06:30The swamp.
06:32It's the wild.
06:33This is no joke at all.
06:35We might already be lost.
06:37Just look at these wonders of nature.
06:39Fuck.
06:41What the fuck can you do?
06:43Ticks, toads, it stinks in here.
06:46Well, actually, it smells delicious.
06:47That's real grapes, isn't it?
06:51It's not what smells.
06:52Oh, wait.
06:53It is.
06:53It smells simply amazing.
06:55Holy crap, guys.
06:56Write in the comments what this is.
06:57Is this wild swamp grapes?
06:59Maybe I should eat it.
07:00Nah.
07:01First rule in the forest.
07:03Don't eat what you don't know.
07:04But look at this.
07:04The second rule in the forest.
07:06If the water is babbling, it's fresh.
07:09See?
07:09It gets shaken up, so it's kind of like sparkling water.
07:12Ah, for crying out loud.
07:14Anyway, it's actually pretty chill here.
07:16I think we'll somehow make our way out like this soon.
07:19Well, at least here, thank God.
07:20It's pretty easy to step across.
07:22The beavers haven't, you know, worked here yet.
07:26Holy crap.
07:27Everything's so covered in moss.
07:28Pretty cool though, right?
07:29Oh!
07:30Yeah, I told you so.
07:31There it is.
07:31The way out to the field, finally.
07:35Somewhere around here must be our car that we've been trying so hard to find.
07:41Oh, look at that.
07:42What a beauty.
07:43A field of dandelions.
07:44An apple tree in bloom, right?
07:46Ah, and some kind of old road, yeah?
07:49Well, looks like we might be able to get it out of here after all.
07:51Maybe we can even drive it away.
07:53Today's episode is all about nature.
07:55Good vibes, that sort of thing.
07:57Look at this blooming apple tree.
07:59It smells delicious too.
08:01Except this particular one smells like piss.
08:05Picks.
08:06The only sensible plan right now is to follow these tracks.
08:09This road that's here, yeah, or used to be, and look for anything unusual.
08:13Take these railroad ties for instance, right?
08:16What are they doing here?
08:17How did they end up here?
08:18What is this?
08:19These are signs of human presence, and we need to pay attention to signs like these
08:23to find the very thing we've been looking for all this time.
08:26So let's get going.
08:29My cameramen are looking a bit down, although...
08:33There we go!
08:34Look, turn around!
08:36Holy crap!
08:37Seriously, we found it!
08:49Now this is awesome, guys, right?
08:51And you didn't believe me.
08:52Ah, look at how deeply rooted it is.
08:55Holy crap!
08:57There are burdocks here, and this...
08:59What's it called?
09:00Hawthorne.
09:01Guys, just look at this.
09:03It's got winter tires on basically.
09:05I mean, oh!
09:06That's what it is!
09:07What kind of car is this anyway?
09:09Whatever!
09:10Actually, in the air, look.
09:12It's a little dourious, and it's in the air, so it's an extension banger in the same...
09:18Then maybe it got stuck here and was abandoned.
09:21But we've got to rescue it from here, I think.
09:23We've got to rescue it!
09:24Pull it out!
09:25Just look at it!
09:27Holy crap, guys!
09:28This is awesome!
09:29It's a Volkswagen!
09:31There's auto!
09:32What kind of nonsense is this?
09:34Why is it doing that?
09:36Some kind of secret button.
09:38Guys, this is quite a find.
09:41Just look at the condition.
09:43How old even is it?
09:44By the way, what is this?
09:45What kind of car is this?
09:47Let's see, let's see.
09:47It's a Passat!
09:48It's a Passat!
09:50Just so you know, the Volkswagen Passat is still being made today.
09:54And it looks like this.
09:56Like, yeah.
09:56Pretty cool, right?
09:57It looks completely different.
09:59Just look at this, buddy.
10:01It's completely different.
10:02This is the legendary Passat B3, I think.
10:05People are always talking about them.
10:07Bulletproof cars that last forever.
10:08So how long has it been sitting here, guys?
10:10Probably 20 years.
10:11Just look at the condition.
10:13It's really sunk into the ground by about 5 centimeters.
10:16How are we even supposed to yank it out of here?
10:18I have no clue.
10:19This is just freaking awesome.
10:20But I've really set a goal for myself, guys.
10:23I'm truly determined.
10:24We are pulling it out of here today.
10:26And somehow, we'll get it out, revive it.
10:29And it's got license plates.
10:31So it turns out, it used to be registered at some point.
10:34We'll try to get in touch with the owners.
10:36Former, not former.
10:37Current, not current.
10:38And we'll return this Passat to the owners.
10:42Awesome, right?
10:43And they'll give us a reward for that.
10:45Or not.
10:45I started thinking, guys, about how to get out of here, right?
10:49Meaning, this way won't work.
10:51Here won't work.
10:52Then I thought, it makes sense.
10:55Get out.
10:56You have to work backwards.
10:57Figure out how they got in here.
10:59And it hit me that this tree apparently grew here already after this Passat was driven in.
11:05Holy crap.
11:07I mean, just imagine how long it's been sitting here.
11:09That's 15 years, minimum 15 to 20 years.
11:12And this B3 body, I think, is already 30 years old.
11:16Yeah, in fact, it's definitely 30 years old already.
11:19So maybe we can somehow probably take a look at the interior now.
11:22I'm gonna see what kind of shape it's in and how many years ago it was.
11:28Holy crap.
11:28This, this is just chill, guys.
11:30This, this is just the unboxing of the century.
11:34Well, naturally.
11:37But it's broken here.
11:39Man, look what I came up with.
11:41There, there.
11:41That's how we can see the interior.
11:45Holy crap.
11:46Holy crap.
11:48An automatic transmission on a B3 Passat.
11:51And the interior is brand new.
11:54Practically untouched.
11:55Guys, look.
11:57I can't see jack shit here.
11:59Sorry, we gotta open it up.
12:01The camera crew has a little gadget.
12:03Pass that to me.
12:04Give it, give it, give it, give it.
12:05Come on.
12:06This thing right here.
12:08It's meant for tightening cameras and all that crap.
12:10But that's just what it is for the camera crew.
12:12For me, it's a way more interesting tool.
12:17It's useless right here.
12:18I mean, like this, it won't turn at all.
12:21Because you need a key.
12:23But lucky for us, look, the opening mechanism came loose.
12:30Yes.
12:32Well?
12:34Damn it.
12:35Shoot.
12:36Did I close it?
12:37Seriously?
12:39Right there.
12:40You need to reach in and flip the little lap.
12:44It looks like the locks are rusted out.
12:47All vag cars have a lock on the other side too.
12:49This little thing will come in handy there as well.
12:51Let's go try it.
12:52It's locked, but there's no keyhole here.
12:54This door opens from the inside.
12:56But there's a keyhole here.
12:57Let me mess with it for a bit.
13:04Holy crap.
13:05Just look at that.
13:07Automatic transmission.
13:08The interior is brand new.
13:11Insane.
13:15Now, this is what I'm talking about, guys.
13:17This is a real beauty right here.
13:19It's just a shame there's no light.
13:22Over here.
13:22Wait, there is.
13:23It just doesn't work.
13:26What a beauty.
13:28Oh, a sunroof.
13:29Is that a sunroof?
13:31It used to be one, I guess.
13:32No, but seriously.
13:33Just check out this interior.
13:35Whoa, check this out too.
13:36Look at that.
13:37Ah, man, I was hoping for some documents,
13:39but it's just some candy wrappers or something.
13:42And the same thing here.
13:44I know something's missing here.
13:45Oh, a glove box.
13:47Short.
13:47Everything is falling apart on its own.
13:50Ah, well, no keys.
13:51Naturally, the steering wheel is locked.
13:54Same old story with us.
13:55That's quite a funny little thing we have here.
13:58Everything's so great.
13:59The dashboard looks kind of like Jigulis, to be honest.
14:02I wouldn't say this is vague.
14:04This, by the way, is vague.
14:05And naturally, it even has air conditioning.
14:07We won't be able to start this without a key
14:09and without a battery.
14:10Though, maybe there's a battery here?
14:13Right.
14:14Ah, well, yeah.
14:16It's a bag, after all.
14:17All right, let's go check out what's under the hood.
14:22Wow.
14:26What the hell?
14:27How did that happen?
14:28Anyway, I get how it got here.
14:31Judging by...
14:35From the looks of it,
14:36this car was also sitting for a really long time
14:39with the hood open.
14:41Maybe it was abandoned right after taking the battery
14:44or it was stolen later on.
14:46But basically, here are the battery terminals.
14:49You just put a battery in here and that's it.
14:51You're good to go or not.
14:53Loose hoses like these just dangling around
14:56really bother me.
14:57Get this, guys.
14:59This engine is carbureted.
15:01And here, judging by the looks of it,
15:03yeah, it's a four-cylinder Germany VW engine.
15:07Oh, Volkswagen, Audi Group.
15:10Holy crap.
15:11Well, anyway, we won't be able to start it here,
15:14even if we haul a battery over.
15:16Our task is to somehow get it out of here without a carburetor.
15:21We're definitely not going anywhere.
15:22Is this definitely the carburetor?
15:24Yeah.
15:24100% a carburetor.
15:26Here we have the starter, apparently, yeah?
15:27The positive cable comes here to solenoid, right there.
15:30I'd know it anywhere.
15:32This dipstick goes to the automatic transmission,
15:34which means the transmission fluid goes in right here.
15:37Whoa!
15:39Well, there's fluid and it's at the normal level,
15:42a little bit of gunk and deposits in it, but who cares?
15:45It's a vag, after all.
15:47Anyway, I honestly can't say anything definitively here.
15:53We need to drag some equipment out here, pull the car out,
15:57somehow get it back to base by towing or something,
16:00and that's it, and fix it there.
16:02There is no other way.
16:03Let's head back through this stinking swamp to get the Pathfinder.
16:07I think we'll make it through this swamp in it, right?
16:09We will make it through this swamp in the Pathfinder, won't we?
16:14What do you mean, though? Why are you looking at me like that?
16:16What's so hard about it?
16:18I got through there, and you guys climbed over somehow.
16:21Anyway, let's roll, enough chatter, let's go, faster, run faster, run, run, I said.
16:25Now, we'll haul ass, and everything's gonna be great.
16:28I wonder how much a Passat like that could cost.
16:31Guys, leave a comment with your opinion.
16:34How much could one get for it? How much could one make of it?
16:38We'll find out who the owner is, and we'll return it, and it'll be a good story, an educational one,
16:44showing that even someone like me can be kind and helpful.
16:48I am kind after all. Let's go. Get in quick.
16:53What? Do you need a special invitation? Get in. Off to an adventure we go.
16:59Why am I so calm? You'd think since we're going off road, I've got this little stress reliever right here.
17:04You can just use it like this.
17:07Squish it when you're driving, and you're not worried about a single thing.
17:12See, told you we could get stuck here. Alternative route. We'll blaze our own trail.
17:17Just a bit more, and the swamp will be somewhere around here, but we probably won't drive straight into it.
17:22We'll go along the edge. Look, that's the swamp, but I'll make it through here. For sure.
17:28Of course, I'll make it through here. No question at all. It's just a stinky puddle.
17:32We'll cross it now, and that Passat will be waiting for us there. Let's go. Off road mode.
17:37Why the hell turn it on? I'll make it through like this anyway.
17:43Yeah, should have turned it on.
17:53But I'm moving forward, definitely. This smells like an adventure.
18:04Damn! I was almost out. Almost.
18:12My door popped open. Looks like a branch opened it. Making progress.
18:23Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on!
18:28Well, what's up? Who's the king of off-road? Who's the king of off-road? Who's the king of off
18:32-road?
18:33Who's the king of off-road? I'm the king of off-road. I'm...
18:35Oh, crap.
18:39We'll get to that Passat now and pull it out. And there it is.
18:44Look, it's the exact same spot. Naturally, it hasn't budged in the last 20 years and in these 30 minutes.
18:51It's not going anywhere either. All right, that's it. Let's go hook it up.
18:56I've got an off-road rig after all, so I always have something in here that might come in handy
19:01off-road.
19:03I've got a professional crew, though they work until six. Everyone's gone already while we work around the clock.
19:08But, they did leave a toe strap. That's good. Although, it's not a strap. It's a piece of crap.
19:16Whoa! Look at that exhaust. Holy crap, would you look at that? Wow, it's like dynamic, active exhaust.
19:23And there are two whole toe eyes. One, two. Which one should I hook it to?
19:28Honestly, I really have no clue what's the best way to do this. Probably this one.
19:32And we'll probably pull it straight out toward there. There really aren't any other options. Let's give it a try.
19:41I need to put the automatic in neutral. Let's go see how that's done.
19:47Oh, these are blooming too. Oh, they smell nice.
19:55Look at that. It has an eco mode and a sport mode.
20:00Holy crap. Okay, well, oh, that's it.
20:02By the way, we still haven't found the key. Well, if it's a carburetor, who even gives a damn about
20:07the key?
20:07There aren't any immobilizers weren't even invented yet back when carburetors were around.
20:11I think back when carburetors were a thing, dinosaurs were still walking the earth.
20:14We'll have to take down this tree.
20:18Chop it down. How much is the fine for that? A grand. We can swing a grand.
20:24All right, let's see. Let's put some tension on it.
20:28Oh, for crying out loud. They gave me the shittiest cables. Some team I have.
20:35Where did it snap again? Damn cable. Why even make cables like this? These are the cheapest damn cables.
20:43It cost like 50 or 80 rubles, I think. Your rigging gear ad could have been right here. Some badass
20:49cables, winch ropes.
20:52If you're interested, find a way to contact me. I don't know what to do, guys. I've got a decent
20:57cable with me, I think, but I have to look for it.
21:00Oh, here it is, China Azos.
21:05So, thread this here, this goes here, this goes like that, and it looks like the setup should work.
21:11They're all set perfect. Now that's a really secure attachment. I'll put this thing on and it should work.
21:16Damn, the steering wheel is locked. Guess I'll have to look for the key or break the lock after all.
21:21The problem is that it has been embedded there for years, and the hardest part will be pulling it out,
21:26dragging it out. Plus, I'll have to break a tree, but I can't handle that.
21:39Yeah, everything worked just as it should.
21:42You know why it hasn't rotted over all these years? Because it's galvanized, seriously.
21:46After all these years, not a single bit of rot.
21:49Look, all the tires are flat as pancakes. I mean, we could pump them up, but I'm so lazy, it
21:54takes so long, honestly.
21:55Anyway, the only option right now is to hook it up the same way, just by the front, and head
22:01in that direction.
22:02Because if we go back, it'll be a total disaster. We won't make it out through that swamp. Who's going
22:07to drive?
22:08No other options.
22:09Ketterman, get into that car. Look, the transmission is in neutral. Don't touch it. Got it? Don't touch the transmission,
22:16you hear me?
22:16Okay, the steering wheel, the steering lock won't break, right?
22:22Look for the keys. Look, there's some unusual bulb. The armrest. Maybe in there? Whoa.
22:31Whoa. Whoa.
22:33Not bad. This isn't the main key. Looks like a spare one. Looks like it was always kept here.
22:39Because the main key should have the lock and unlock buttons, but this one, look, is a spare extra one.
22:44If this video gets at least 20,000 likes, we'll release a follow-up and show what's inside this trunk.
22:51Maybe it'll help us understand how this car ended up here in the first place, and what happened to it.
22:56All right, I got distracted. Anyway, I gotta plug this in here.
23:00Oh, uh, starter? Oh, I unlocked the steering wheel for you, cameraman. You'll ride along like this and steer,
23:06and you gotta clean the windshield. Come on, go ahead. Get in. Good luck.
23:11Awesome. Yeah, a total rocket. Can you steer left, right?
23:17Totally super then. Hooked it all up like a pro. Right here, I've got it. Now we're going to drive
23:22forward,
23:23so having some visual contact wouldn't hurt. That veer is driving me nuts.
23:28He's dragged me out into the woods and fields again. Let's roll!
23:36There, we're doing great. Everything is fine. See?
23:40There! Steer! Cameraman! Steer! I'm steering, I'm steering.
23:44Steer properly. Now that's a miracle. We pulled out a Passat that spent 20 years in this forest,
23:50and now we're towing it across a field. Steer properly. Stick to the tracks. Follow the tracks.
23:58We'll definitely find a way out of this field soon and make it back to base.
24:04Back at base. We'll fix it up. Turn left. Good job, man. We'll repair it, get it running,
24:11find the owner, and return this machine that was lost for so long. All right? See you back at our
24:17base,
24:17unless something else happens on the way. Well, guys, everything went smoothly. Everything's just
24:25hunky-dory. And now, like I promised, right here in this video, we're going to get it running, fix it,
24:32wash it down, and use the license plate to track down the owner to get in touch with him. But
24:37first,
24:38let's see if it even works or not. For that, I'm welcoming our mechanic, Ivan, into the studio.
24:46Hey, everyone. Pass the B3. If it were a wagon, I would haul potatoes in it and buy it from
24:52you for
24:53100,000 rubles. I'd buy it for that on the spot. Really? Yeah. My job is to find the owner
24:59or maybe
25:00keep it going on the show so I don't plan on selling it yet. First, I need to start it
25:05up. You're going to
25:05like this. Get ready. Oh. Basically, it's hard abandoned near a swamp for 20 years. How long?
25:14Around 20 years. And so what? Well, it needs a battery wiring carburetor. And do you happen to
25:20have a carburetor for a Passat B3, huh? What's the engine displacement? Roughly. It's about the size
25:26of two milk cartons. Well, and I have plenty of these carbs. Come on, I'll show you. Many subscribers
25:31are asking us to tell about our new base. Well, guys, we haven't finished moving yet.
25:35We haven't settled in yet. All I can say is that this red Bukanka will become a really cool,
25:42hilarious project, just like the legendary Bukanko zine from this video. Check it out if you haven't
25:48seen it. We made a limo out two Bukankas. Something similar is coming here, but way more hilarious.
25:54So smash that like button and subscribe. If you want to see the upcoming Bukank project,
26:00here we have the Bukanka from Home on Clunkers. Some more cars are being repaired over there. And
26:04over here we have a warehouse. This is where we store our costumes and all kinds of props.
26:10Over there is where Stepan lives. Guys, drop a comment if you remember Stepan. What the hell did you
26:16come here for? For the carburetor. Well, there are no carburetors for a B3 Passat here. There might not be
26:21carburetors for a B3 Passat, but there's a whole bunch of other parts here. So you see this?
26:26Don't touch anything. It's all organized here. Look here, how many carburetors for a B3 Passat
26:31you want a Pekar or you want this semi-carburetor kind of thing. And there's also one like this.
26:35That's from Alada, by the way, I think. Put that one on then. How? Just bolt it on somehow and
26:41that's
26:41it. You know, just put it in place and it'll be good to go. Are you an idiot? Come on,
26:45just try it.
26:46Just screw it on. That put the wide one on the wide one. The wide one on the wide one.
26:51What are you
26:51doing first? We need to clear all this away. Before installing the carburetor, you have to scrape
26:55everything clean. It must be a flat surface because if there's a vacuum leak, that's it. It's screwed.
27:00What? It won't go on. It doesn't fit at all. There, where's the throttle cable? There it is.
27:05What? Ah. It's stuck tight. Blow it out first. What's this? No zip tie needed here? No, no,
27:17Nate. What's the point? There already holes in the carb anyway. Just put it on. And what's this?
27:20The return line? Yeah, put the cable right there. Guys, I honestly think we started in the wrong place.
27:25Let's put the battery in and check if anything even cranks at all. The engine might be seized and
27:29here we are putting a damn carb on it. What? What's going on? Look at that.
27:39Something's already spinning. Yeah. Anyway, the terminal is very small. You see that, Ivan?
27:43You're such a fool. Your negative is here. Negative is right here. Idiot. Ah, the positive. Here it is.
27:49On our starter. Guys, I dug out the starter. Here it is. Now you can see the whole thing. Let's
27:55go check if
27:55we have power in the car. Ignition. All that stuff. Slavic, you bought some junk again. Whoa.
28:03What? Is that it? It's trying to spin something, but it's not working. What do you have going on over
28:08there? It's either a bad ground or the wiring rotted away. The relay clicks, but nothing happens.
28:15So, electricity is flowing through the circuit. That's already great. That means we just need to
28:20bypass the relay, run it direct. I'm no fool, man. I really know my way around wiring. This thing here
28:26is called a wire stripper. And this thing here is called clap. Uncle Slava's workshop. What's with
28:33this pathetic table, anyway? Why the hell? Did you do that? Inserted it here and like right into here.
28:39Pour in the gas. We'll crank it now and check whether the gas is flowing. All right, let's go.
28:45Oh, it's turning. Holy crap. Oh, there it goes. Oh, and the fuel pump works. That's it. Total rocket
28:53ship. Not much left to do. Just minor stuff. Ready? Let's do it. Too damn much air. So we need
29:00to add
29:01more gas. We need to tighten it down and use starter fluid. Stuff like this won't start without starter
29:05fluid. Stuff like this doesn't even start at all. How do you tighten these nuts down here? Oh,
29:10carburetor nuts are classic. You need three wrenches there. Bring them. Grab the starter
29:15fluid and a 13 millimeter wrench then. Got it. Anyway, I screwed it on. Well, it's a bit loose.
29:21What's this? Oh, right. That's carb cleaner. What the hell is it for? Clean it first. It's all done.
29:27Wide side to the wide side. That's it. Go start it up. Oh, I told you. Well, did you screw
29:34that thing on?
29:35That's it. It's holding on now. I think it's fine. Damn, it was better before. Come on.
29:53What's wrong? Look, it's showing the temperature, but it's not working. It's not working. What's
30:00wrong with your hand? It shows the oil, oil level, temperature, and the battery. Metal?
30:09Why not? Just add it and let's go tear up the streets. It does start. Just barely.
30:21It's moving. Let's go.
30:32Guys, a Passat B3 that's 30 years old and 20 of which is spent sitting in the woods by a
30:38swamp.
30:39Let's wash it. Give it a nice deep clean so it looks decent and find the owner.
30:54Let's wash it.
31:14To be honest, I actually enjoyed the whole process. Yeah, sure. Ideally,
31:18it would get a deep interior clean and a polish to make it totally mint.
31:23But we restored it as best we could. It starts, it drives. We'll put the wheels and lug bolts back,
31:28pump them up, and it'll be even better. While I was washing and cleaning it up,
31:32my manager made some calls to our contacts. They ran the plates, took care of everything.
31:37And we have the owner's phone number. I'll call him right now, right in front of you.
31:43And I'll give the car back for good. Because, well, I promise to change my ways,
31:48and that means I will. All right. The main thing is that he picks up, putting it on speaker.
31:55Hello. A lot of here. Hi.
31:59Greetings. Who's this?
32:00My name is Vyacheslav Ismailov. I'm the host of the Zhizin Via channel. What fucking via?
32:06The YouTube channel Zhizin Via. So what, what do you want?
32:10We found a Passat B3 with the license plates that were once registered and linked to your number.
32:16What Passat now? A silver Passat B3. The one with 400? Yeah, 495.
32:22Holy shit. Where did you find it? In the woods. Beyond the swamp.
32:27Holy shit. Now that's news. I found it. And I'd like to return it to you.
32:33Are you kidding me? I don't fucking need it. I'm somewhere else entirely. Well, send me some pictures.
32:40I'm kind of curious at least. All right. I'll send them to your WhatsApp at this number, right?
32:44Yeah, wherever. But someone smashed it. Forgive me. I kind of wanted to do a good deed.
32:50Return the car to its owner. You know, like in those videos. Like, oh.
32:54Just send a photo. I'm really curious. Well, all right. I'm giving it to you.
32:59As a gift? Yes. Good luck to you. Okay. What was that just now, guys?
33:05It feels kind of creepy, actually. Well, whatever. A gift is a gift. Now we have a Passat B3,
33:10which means it's definitely going to take part in the show. Clunkers drive home.
33:14Yeah, so be sure to follow the link. Watch the video. Subscribe to my RuTube channel.
33:19Subscribe to my YouTube channel. All in all, yeah. That's the story. Found a Passat. Fixed the Passat.
33:25Now we have a Passat. And maybe it will go to one of our participants. Or maybe to you.
33:30I'm Vyacheslav Ismailov or Vyja. I'll see you all very soon. Bye, bye, bye.
33:34Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye.
