Elliot Ashford, heir to Britain’s Ashford Group, was left paralyzed by trauma after his father’s murder in a staged car crash. His mother hired Miles Carter, a rough street fighter, to break through his isolation. Miles used brutal, unorthodox tactics to force Elliot back into the world, driven by his own understanding of darkness after losing his mother to depression.
As the heir assembly neared, Elliot’s cousin Dominic—the crash’s mastermind—and his fiancée Victoria escalated their plot.
