00:00The message ahead of kick-off as the players assemble around the centre circle from Combo.
00:06The ball at the centre is more than the start of the match, it's an invitation to play, to share
00:11and to enjoy.
00:12An invitation that is possible with respect.
00:14Respect that is expressed in every gesture, every word and every decision.
00:18An invitation for everyone without distinction, where there is no place for discrimination, racism or violence.
00:24Through this initiative, Combo shows through actions, not slogans, it's commitment to a football that unites and inspires.
00:31A football that leads by example from the first pass to the final whistle, because respect starts the game.
00:57A football that leads by a football that leads by a football that leads by a football that leads by

01:23a football that leads by a football that leads by a football that leads by a football that leads by
01:24a football that
01:24remain in this year's Libertadores. And it comes down to this.
01:35Estudiantes and Flamengo will meet tomorrow night. This evening, it's the turn of Fluminense
01:40and Palmeiras. They will conclude it next week. Tonight they meet in the first leg and
01:47we are underway. Fluminense up against Palmeiras. Beaten in six since the defeat of Vasco de
01:53Gamma in the Copa de Brasil. Over the top for Hulk. Lays the ball back, shooting chance,
01:59and Knobbio smashes that one over the top of the crossbar after two and a half minutes.
02:04Jomenze go direct, it's a super little ball from Ganso on the outside of the boot, and it's
02:09excellent from Hulk holding up the ball. Deft little flick back into the path of the onrushing
02:15Knobbio. Martinelli, here's Hulk on the left foot, goes for goal, and that wasn't far away.
02:24We know he's got it in the locker. Not a player you allow in that kind of space outside the
02:30area, or anywhere really, from about 35 yards out.
02:39And Carlos Miguel rightfully has a few questions for his defence in terms of getting tighter to Hulk.
02:55Go.
03:05Another one of those, a veteran. Liberty Dora's winner and he picks a pass through the middle. Chance to shoot.
03:11outside the area and on that for the latest to take it on could be a final
03:17chance here good ball in Lopez is there and Palmeiras leads wouldn't you know it
03:23they've soaked up all of the pressure and with their first shot on goal the
03:30Verdao lead here at the Manacanat
03:39Jose Flacco Lopez isolated in the attack the entirety of the first half as
03:47we not John into stoppage time makes the run gets the chance that he's been
03:53looking for and finds a way past Fabio
04:10keeper very nearly keeps it out as well Fabio getting across to that back post it
04:16ends up ricocheting off his body and into the back of the net but it's a fourth goal
04:20of this year's limited orders for the Argentine and it's a massive goal for
04:26Palmeiras against the run of play
04:31Barbosa again it's direct Lopez again is alone but he is in a one-in-one situation
04:36Lopez inside onto his left and that is into the side netting and not a million miles away
04:43the halftime whistle will blow and Palmeiras for a side that have offered almost nothing through 45 minutes go in
04:53front at the break through Lopez and very nearly go in front two goals for the good
05:16there we have it Martinelli the player to be replaced
05:28change in the central field
05:34which will do nothing to change the shape of
05:37from an MC but Hercules on former Dinelli and we're back on the way
05:41Luminense nil Palmeiras won at the break in this Libertadores semi-final first leg
06:13Guga
06:14and some space
06:16Hulk back to Guga
06:19made their way through the middle
06:22can't find a way through we'll try again
06:26Hercules goes for goal
06:28it's the shot away but it's well held by Carlos Miguel
06:35Jefferson Savarino to take it
06:37flicks on at the near post
06:39Carlos Miguel
06:41just throws a left arm at it
06:53swing of the left arm
06:55ends up putting it behind for another corner
07:0424
07:10three
07:12three
07:16three
07:18three
07:18three
07:18three
07:18two
07:23three
07:24on this is always the danger it's three against one momentarily felipe anderson down the left
07:31anderson down the last man and it's a big save fabio smothers his effort super saved by the
07:38veteran what a big moment that could have been that fifth and final change has been made jefferson
07:48saverino replaced by the 18 year old wesley natta just his second limitadores substitute appearance
08:02in a game in which fluminense are crying out for a hero things could give out to get worse fabio
08:08saves
08:08him again still not yet safe shot comes in and it is number two marlon freitas doubles
08:17the lead for palmenas who have defended resolutely throughout and could be on the verge of coming
08:25away with a two goal win away from home
08:32ruthlessly efficient from the green machine
08:38fabio keeping fluminense alive where he can but he can do nothing to keep out this one for malon freitas
08:51a vital goal from the midfielder in the last round as they sneaked past league of the quito
08:59and he's done it again tonight marlon freitas giving palmenas a two nil lead in the mannequin
09:09and taking a step perhaps towards the 2026 coverball libertadores final
09:20still ponderous from fluminense even in stoppage time needing a goal wesley natta
09:34from left to right the cross does come in from guga hangs it up nicely there's the goal back
09:40they found a way and they breathe hope into next week's second leg
09:50finally a cross sent into the box yields the results and it's the youngster wesley natta
10:02one of the smallest players inside the 18-yard box who gets up highest of all
10:08and nods into the back of the net somehow getting up above gustavo gomez and with carlos miguel the keeper
10:17stranded
10:23full-time whistle blows it ends fulminense one palmedas two
10:35late goals at the end of either half bite
