00:00Hello, Louisiana Beer Reviews. We're doing a taste challenge. You're doing a
00:04taste challenge. George is doing a taste challenge. This is the famous Miller
00:08Light introduced in 1975. He would consider it the infamous Miller Light.
00:17And Milwaukee's Best Light introduced, I think, 1986. I poured two glasses. You
00:25don't know which is which. This one here on the left is a lot foamier. I've never
00:29saw that. This one on the right is less foamier, but you can hold them up and show
00:33them and then have at it. You say you can tell Miller Light from other beers? I said
00:37I think I can. That's a little dark. I'm holding up toward a black canvas.
00:51All right, are you ready to do this? I'm ready. I'm just watching. No smell, really.
01:05Okay. And now Miller. Oh, shit. Now Milwaukee's Best Light is your standby beer. So you're very
01:15familiar with that flavor since you drink it constantly. This is Milwaukee's Best. How do you know?
01:24Smoother flavor. I hope I got it right, but I think that tastes smoother. Tastes more like this.
01:31What's the problem with that one? What's the complaint on this one?
01:37It definitely don't taste as light. It's weird because it's I think they're both 96 calories.
01:45There. This is 4.2. Milwaukee's Best Light is 4.1. This is 96. Let me see. What does the
01:52can say the calories are on the, um...
01:54I don't know. I ain't got my glasses on. Okay, answer me. I can tell. If you hand me the
02:00can,
02:00I can see the info. Don't turn it upside down. It says, uh, 96 calories here.
02:15So they're both the same calorie count. But okay, so you prefer the one in the left hand.
02:24Yeah, it's got a little different taste. All right, the answer is... Oh, now what score would you give
02:31either one of these? Like if you get an A, B, C, D, or F? Well, you know, I'd give
02:36the Milwaukee's Best
02:37Light a score, a high score. An A for you because it's your standby and the price is right.
02:46All right, is it right? You did get it right. I told you. That's thicker.
02:52But it doesn't taste as bitter as it normally does when I've had it before. But
02:57that could have been temperature problems. God knows what.
03:02So you prefer your standby, but the Miller Lite's not as bad as you remember.
03:09It's been a long time since I tried to drink one.
03:13But I get the impression that you would drink it.
03:17Uh, if I had a way to not get out of it, I would.
03:21If there's a store near or I have an ice chest near me.
03:26And customers used to, we'd get off the roof, come up to here.
03:30Hey, here's a beer, man. Y'all did a great job. Stuff like that.
03:33And now we, we'd break our cooler. I would say we already got our beer.
03:39Yeah.
03:40All right.
03:40It would be Bud Light.
03:41So, I would score as a light beer, because that's what they are.
03:48Uh, it's triple hopped. They use three different hops.
03:51And that's great. Like A, A for Milwaukee's Best.
03:54And, uh, I'd give a 95 to the Milwaukee's Best and say about a 90 to the other one.
04:01I'll stick with my Milwaukee's Best.
04:03But that's a lot better score than in the past telling me at work,
04:07I'd dump it out if you gave it to me.
04:10Yeah, it's way different. You don't see me finishing it.
04:13Yeah, you're doing that for the video.
04:15All right. Being dramatic, you know. I'm drinking the rest of the can.
04:21Um, I wanted to bring over Coors Banquet one day.
04:24You know, that tan colored Coors, that kind of yellowish bottle.
04:28I haven't tried it.
04:29Not Coors Light, the regular Coors.
04:31It's just called Coors.
04:31I know what you're talking about.
04:33But I couldn't find one in a date.
04:35I went to like three different stores. They're all out of date.
04:37When I was living in Charlotte, they came out with Coors.
04:40Extra Gold.
04:41Extra Gold Draft.
04:42And that stuff is good.
04:44And that wasn't but like $7 a case.
04:46Well, they don't make it anymore.
04:48They make the regular original Coors.
04:50Okay, so, um, the Best Buy date on this one is
04:53way into next year.
04:55So, it's really fresh.
04:56But, um, I'm not going to bring over an out of date beer.
04:59No, I'm not going to do that.
05:01Okay.
05:02I would give this one.
05:04I am going to score it.
05:10I'll go along with that, a 90,
05:12because I prefer Milwaukee's Best Light also.
05:14I do prefer it.
05:15My only argument was that Miller Lite was not horrible.
05:19I just, I don't ever buy it because it's too expensive for what you get.
05:25I mean, you're paying way more.
05:28But if Bud Light had that's for that price in that big a box,
05:32I'd still be drinking Bud Light.
05:34I only switched to this about a year ago.
05:37Yeah, because you were basically paying for a name.
05:40Yeah.
05:41All right, folks.
05:42So, ladies and gentlemen, we did the challenge.
05:44You got it right.
05:45Like you always said, you could get it right.
05:46Merry Christmas.
05:47Shout out to my buddy in Ohio, Rick McGranahan.
05:52This video may not be posted until the 12th day of Christmas, but we'll see.
05:55And y'all go to Milwaukee and take a brewery tour.
06:04Yeah, Rick called me.
