nobody talks about the press tour in Dream On, and it's the funniest stretch of the show.
Lex returns with a fake-relationship proposal, and Stevie — who should absolutely refuse — agrees on her own terms. Then they have to sell it. Publicly. To cameras.
So you get Lexington Hall, the most famous actor of his generation, performing something he can't be seen enjoying, beside a woman who is very clearly not acting.
And every time a journalist asks about their "history," one of them forgets the script for half a second.
That half second is the whole show.
✨ What worked for me:
Lex is a great actor and a terrible liar about her.
✨ Bottom line: a press tour doing the work of ten confession scenes.
