00:06Off of the opening bell,
00:08Gunther focusing his attack on Finn Balor, but here comes Punk.
00:13Went for the chop, see him, Punk with a chop of his own.
00:17Punk, an eight-time world champion.
00:21He's looking to become the first man ever to win three Money in the Bank ladder
00:26matches.
00:26He's the only man to go back to back, back in 2008.
00:302009, Gunther has never been in a Money in the Bank ladder match.
00:37It's a risky proposition to exchange chops with the ring general.
00:42But right now, Punk and Balor collectively getting the upper hand on Gunther.
00:46Yeah, take out Gunther, make it a one-on-one matchup.
00:50And a big chop to the chest, hanging above the ring tonight.
00:54Look at this, looking for a GTS, and Gunther with a kick.
00:57And that's the name of the game, pinning combination, Punk's on top of Balor.
01:00But they're not allowing that to happen.
01:02And look at that, effortlessly transitioning into a Boston Crab, now CM Punk in Jeopardy.
01:08Will Punk tap out?
01:10Will Punk tap to Gunther here?
01:12And Finn Balor breaks things up with a kick.
01:15No disqualification, no count out of the triple threat rules, which is why Punk couldn't just
01:19grab the bottom rope.
01:20Gunther knows that, and I expect him to utilize it throughout the match.
01:24Hanging over the ring tonight, the briefcases that contain contracts for
01:28a championship opportunity.
01:30You climb a lottery, you grab the briefcase, you win.
01:32You can cash in that contract for a title match any time over a year period.
01:37In the men's division, 76% of the time, we've crowned a new champion on a cash in.
01:43Momentary alliance by Punk and Balor, great double team delivered.
01:46Now Balor looking to escape the clutches of Punk.
01:50And Gunther, uh-oh.
01:54And Balor takes out both men.
01:59You mentioned it before, but I still often think about Finn Balor and CM Punk for
02:03the World Heavyweight Championship in Belfast, Ireland.
02:06An incredible night for both men.
02:09Gained a lot of mutual respect for one another that night.
02:12And Gunther now, Sweeper, uh-oh.
02:14Sweeper, that's one of the championships of Gunther now.
02:17Set through the second rope by Balor.
02:20Punk now has Gunther up for GTS.
02:23Balor gonna fly and take everybody out.
02:25Balor's in control.
02:27Is he gonna head to New Orleans?
02:47Corey, Finn Balor has been a man possessed tonight.
02:51But that'll stop Balor in his tracks.
02:54Finn Balor of all the superstars on the roster understands just how difficult
02:58world title opportunities truly are.
03:01They don't grow on trees.
03:02You can be at the top of the game and still never sniff world championship gold.
03:06It was a decade ago that Balor won the Universal Championship, but
03:10had to relinquish it 24 hours later due to injury.
03:14He's never been able to get back to the top of the mountain.
03:16That has eaten at Finn Balor every day of his life since.
03:22Finn would love to breathe that rarefied air yet again in his career.
03:27Well, it also eats at Gunther that he doesn't have gold.
03:29It eats at CM that he doesn't have gold.
03:33And the quickest way back to the top, win, money, and the bank.
03:41Ultimately, that's what it is.
03:42It's an express route to the top of the mountain.
03:46You choose the speed limit.
03:49And when you decide to travel, but here comes Balor.
03:52Balor, baby.
03:54Who've gotten very feisty over the last couple of weeks.
03:57And that clothesline about decapitated Finn.
04:06Corey, you and I say this all the time.
04:09I still think the best in-ring technician in WWE today.
04:15I agree without question.
04:17Arguably the most complete superstar on the roster.
04:20There is nothing Gunther does not expect as pertains to professional wrestling.
04:25And the other thing about Gunther, he just doesn't give a damn about anybody.
04:29And Punk now, showing his fire, taking the fight to Gunther.
04:34Bounced off the steps and just like that, Gunther turns it around.
04:38What we saw there momentarily was truly the tale of two cities.
04:41Two different ethos, CM Punk fights for the fans.
04:44Punk feeds off of the WWE Universe.
04:47They are why CM Punk does what he does.
04:50On the other hand, Gunther cares about one person on this planet.
04:53And it's the man he sees in the mirror every morning.
05:05A physical Gunther.
05:07Did you expect anything less?
05:09Absolutely not.
05:11Triple threat match.
05:13Winner joins the field in the Money Bank contract.
05:16Ladder match two weeks from tomorrow in New Orleans.
05:20All three men at different points in their career have held WWE's top championships.
05:26They would all love the golden ticket within the Money in the Bank briefcase.
05:32Gunther's never been in that ladder match.
05:34Finn trying to qualify for his third.
05:36Punk trying to qualify for his fifth.
05:38He's one, two, back to back.
05:41And that was a long time ago.
05:43And now Gunther sending Punk into the barricade.
05:47Smart strategy by the ring general.
05:49Isolate one of your opponents on the outside.
05:51Now, he only has to focus on Balor.
05:53But Balor still has a great deal of fight left.
05:56Had a great deal of fight left.
05:59No, no.
06:01Like a cast iron skillet across the chest.
06:04He just doesn't stop.
06:05He's like a machine.
06:08And again, no disqualification.
06:11No five count here.
06:12He can punish Balor however he wants.
06:17The official Jason Ayers is only there to count the pinfall or hear the submission.
06:25The intensity in the eyes of Gunther recognizing CM Punk is back to vertical base.
06:32And here comes the Second City Saint.
06:37And he right hands rocking Gunther.
06:39And Gunther now though.
06:41Punk's fight first on the barricade.
06:44Collapses into the timekeeper's area.
06:46And just that quickly Punk is once again neutralized.
06:49It's essentially one on one for the moment.
06:51And that could spell doom for Finn Balor.
06:54Gunther never looks out of control.
06:59But Balor fighting back.
07:06Finn taking the fight to the ring general.
07:10There's a Pele kick.
07:16Gunther crumpled into a heap after the Pele kick.
07:22Meanwhile, Gunther and Balor down.
07:25But Punk.
07:26Top rope for Punk.
07:34Yeah, the elbow from Punk.
07:37Cover.
07:38One, two, three.
07:38Kick out.
07:50The classic running knee from Punk.
07:54Punk's knocked more than a few teeth out in his day with that move.
07:57Yeah, tell me about it.
08:01Clothesline Bulldog.
08:04Night-night.
08:11Punk hoisting the big Austrian.
08:13And Gunther goes to the eyes.
08:14Yeah, licking the eyes of CM Punk.
08:17Totally legal.
08:19Gunther was going for the powerbomb.
08:22Balor attacked.
08:27No way, no way in hell.
08:30No way.
08:35And now Punk and Balor with the Boston Crab.
08:40Who wins though if Gunther taps?
08:43That's a great question.
08:46Is Gunther gonna tap out?
08:51Gunther trying to hang on.
08:55Punk and Balor cranking the Boston Crab with everything they can.
08:59The ring general in agony.
09:01The ropes won't cause a break here.
09:05And Balor though, inside cradle, isn't enough.
09:09Punk kicked out.
09:11Punk kicked out.
09:11Balor tried to steal one.
09:12Punk now.
09:14Weapon to go to sleep.
09:16Balor sends Punk into Gunther.
09:18Knocks him off the apron.
09:19Roll up by Balor.
09:20For the win.
09:21Kick out by Punk.
09:24Sling blade.
09:33Blue kick.
09:35Punk's in the drop zone.
09:41Listen to this place.
09:43Balor has Punk dead to rights.
09:46Coup de Bloss.
09:48Balor headed into New Orleans.
09:50Not so fast.
09:53Gunther the right place, the right time.
09:57Keeps this one alive.
10:03Balor back into the mix.
10:05Swing blade to Gunther.
10:13Target acquired.
10:15Maybe not.
10:16Sleep or hold.
10:18Balor though slings him away.
10:22Punk intercepts.
10:25Go to sleep.
10:27Gunther with a drop kick.
10:32The ring general closing in on the win.
10:36Powerbomb to Punk.
10:38Stacks him up.
10:39One, two, three.
10:39Punk kicks out at two somehow.
10:45What a match.
10:49Gunther was finally able to hoist CM Punk up for this thunderous powerbomb.
10:56Stacked Punk's shoulders high.
10:58But the Second City Saints, the best in the world, will not quit.
11:04Indianapolis is electric for our main event.
11:08One of these men is going to New Orleans to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match.
11:14Two weeks from tomorrow.
11:20Opportunity of a lifetime.
11:22Pings in the balance.
11:29Here comes Gunther.
11:31Punk ducks underneath.
11:32Punk will Gunther up.
11:38Look at the GTS.
11:40Sleeper.
11:41Sleeper.
11:43Gunther.
11:44Turns things around again.
11:48Look at the powerbomb.
11:50Punk.
11:50Look at the GTS.
11:52And a shot.
11:53My God.
11:54To the back of the neck.
11:56Goodnight Punker.
11:58Into a sleeper.
11:59Balor.
12:00Up top.
12:01Colum Ross.
12:04Punk.
12:05Blows into the cover.
12:07Punk's going to New Orleans.
12:09What a match.
12:10Here is your winner, CM Punk.
12:15Corey, once again, disappointment for Finn Balor, who is this close again.
12:30It's a hazardous weather.
12:31Meta Patti.
12:32It is alasse identifying, yes.
