12:07I have to get rid of something.
12:09Hey.
12:12I know this is a lot for you, okay?
12:14I mean, it is for me.
12:17You've seen these things for yourself, Nessa.
12:19You've seen what's happened to me.
12:23Like I said, no one's going to help us.
12:25We're completely alone on this.
12:28You've been alone for a long time, Carl.
12:32Long before this.
12:35I just want him to be safe.
12:39And at the end of the night, he will be.
12:43I promise you.
12:45It's hard to trust me and things will be back to the way they were before.
12:49Back to the way things were before.
12:52Before what?
12:54Before this.
12:56Before you lost control of everything.
12:58Before you lost your job.
13:01I didn't lose it, Nessa.
13:03Yeah?
13:03It lost me.
13:05Yeah, I mean, teaching fucking history.
13:07It was hardly my thing.
13:08No, this is more than just tonight, Carl.
13:10More than just Kit.
13:11How could things ever be the same?
13:16Kit told me what happened.
13:20You had something up there.
13:23And it hurt him.
13:25It hurt you.
13:29Please, please, just tell me what it was.
13:49Where is it?
13:51Where is it?
13:53Do you have any idea what you've done?
13:56Fuck, where is it?
14:01After the blessing, you cannot break the seal of the home, okay?
14:04You cannot break the pact we made with it.
14:06But pact?
14:07What pact?
14:10Shit.
14:11You've ruined it.
14:12You've ruined everything.
14:14Christ, Carl, do you even hear what you're saying?
14:15This is madness.
14:17You broke its covenant with us, Vanessa.
14:19Covenant?
14:20You harmed our son!
14:21I didn't touch him.
14:23Don't you get it?
14:23He had the wounds on his hand.
14:25The same as mine.
14:26You saw it.
14:27Yes, you saw it.
14:28I saw it.
14:30Nessa.
14:32This isn't madness, Nessa.
14:33This is fucking real.
14:38Wait, Carl, you're scaring me.
14:39What are you going to do?
14:40Where did you put it?
14:41We're in the bin outside.
14:42I know, I'm scared for Kit.
14:48That's it, it won't open.
14:50My keys won't open.
14:50It won't open.
14:52Fuck.
14:57Fuck.
14:59Fuck, it won't open.
15:00It won't open.
15:01Where are the keys?
15:02It won't open.
15:03I don't know.
15:05Where's my phone?
15:06Where's my phone?
15:07I'm already keeping it.
15:08Carl, I'm serious.
15:09I don't know.
15:10Fuck, it's not going.
15:12Get out.
15:12What's the other thing?
15:14Shit, it won't open.
15:23Nessa, stop.
15:25Stop.
15:26Listen to me.
15:28Listen, I've got it wrong.
15:30Okay, it's not that we can't break the seal of the house.
15:33It's that it won't let us.
15:34Do you understand?
15:37What did you do?
15:38What the hell did you do?
15:40What the hell did you do?
15:45What the hell did you do?
16:11I'll go outside for him, Marina.
16:15I thought we both quit a year ago.
16:21I guess we all have our secrets.
16:26That's really rich.
16:28Why don't you tell me some of yours?
16:30Where did you go for over a week?
16:32No calls, no messages, nothing.
16:35I'm sorry I didn't realize I was ever that missed.
16:41It's going to get that thing, isn't it?
16:45Where the hell did it come from?
16:47What is it?
16:49Listen, please, I just need you to be with me.
16:51Tell me!
16:53I don't know.
16:55It's old.
16:59Hey.
17:03They were religions, okay?
17:05Societies long before us.
17:08Societies arose and fell.
17:10Knowledge of our societies became lost.
17:13Back then there was a constant in our beliefs.
17:17Beliefs that were rooted in the earth we walk on, the air we breathe.
17:21Beliefs that were closer to the nature that creates life and takes it away.
17:29You can still find remnants of these societies in the religious texts of today but most varnished.
17:35And one of these societies, they created the unlock, a spirit lock.
17:42I mean it's the only thing that remains to say they ever existed.
17:45The language that's engraved upon it only survives from person to person.
17:50Someone who uses it needs it and they pass it on and the next soul finds it when they need
17:55it.
17:56It'll be their responsibility to pass it on.
17:58It's language, it's warnings, it's truth.
18:01It's truth, what truth?
18:02It's truths are it's warnings.
18:05Because the truth is pure.
18:08Nessa, this thing, it knows evil, it knows corruption, it knows the sickness that is ailing our son and it
18:16will pass its judgement on it.
18:21You say it can help Kit?
18:23I can, it just got complicated.
18:26Yeah, yeah that's a pretty fair assessment.
18:29Just like the history lesson you just gave me.
18:33So how's this covenant gonna help you?
18:35The covenant?
18:36Well the covenant's only formed through the Congregor, right?
18:39The blood of more and more, and that's what I was doing upstairs with Kit.
18:43The covenant we made with it now only serves to protect us in this house.
18:48Look, there's three dials on its face, three tumblers, and each one is a different stage, accompanied by a different
18:56blessing.
18:57And supposedly I'll know when to do each one because the tumbler will lock into place, I know.
19:03The first stage is the initiation, right?
19:07Where it connects with the evil spirit.
19:09The second is the manifestation, where it draws it out.
19:13And the third...
19:16The third is the deliverance.
19:18And that's where it eradicates it, destroys it.
19:23I don't know if it's all bullshit, but we have to drop.
19:33That's working.
19:39Stay, stay close.
19:53Yes.
19:53Yes.
19:56Yes.
19:57Yes.
20:00Yes.
20:02Yes.
20:02Yes.
20:03No, no, wait.
20:04Wait!
20:05Look!
20:06I was not back inside!
20:08Please!
20:08You left it outside!
20:10Look at her!
20:11Look at her!
20:12Don't leave it!
20:13We can't hear from you!
20:14You're so mean!
20:15Don't leave it!
20:17Don't leave it!
20:18And my ear and I, the tricky ones, the charm is for us.
20:23I left the lost to the world now.
20:26And my ear and I, the tricky ones, the charm is for us.
20:29Breathe, breathe, breathe!
20:30Sponsor!
20:31And my ear and I the tricky ones, the charm is for us.
20:35I will not die!
20:36I will not die in the world.
20:37And my ear and I, the tricky ones, the lazy, the charm is for us.
20:41I love her, dear.
20:42Get it, get it.ΡΡ.
20:50I'm
20:50so sorry. I'm
20:52so sorry. Why not
20:53you're gonna kill me?! Wait!
20:54It's

20:56it. It's
20:57working.
20:57Shut the fuck up!
21:38Oh, fuck.
21:41Fuck.
21:45Fuck.
21:47Fuck.
21:48Fuck.
22:21I don't know.
22:31I don't know.
22:57You should probably use me a long knife.
22:59I don't know.
23:29And you tried to stop me from helping him.
23:33Is that what you saw?
23:37You asshole.
23:39You fucking piece of shit.
23:41It's...
23:44He has asthma.
23:45You could have killed him.
23:46Do you really think that was asthma?
23:48Really?
23:49I don't know.
23:51I don't know.
23:53I don't know.
24:04I don't know.
24:14It's over.
24:14Do you hear me?
24:16All right.
24:17Well, lucky for you, mine won't come off.
24:19Even if I fucking wanted it to.
24:21Why?
24:21Because I love you, Vanessa.
24:23Because I'm committed to you.
24:24Because I took a fucking oath.
24:25And nothing's ever going to change that.
24:31Vanessa, where are you going?
24:32Wait.
24:32You don't have to go with me.
24:34I am not going to let him die.
24:35Okay?
24:36And it's not going to let him die either.
24:38You just have to trust me, please.
24:41What the fuck happened to you, Carl?
24:45That's weird.
24:45Not the fucking death of me!
24:48You're not the man I married!
24:50Not the man I once knew!
24:53You have no idea what this thing is!
24:57Do you?
24:57None!
25:06What did you do to us, you fucking idiot?
25:13No!
25:14Nathan!
25:14If you really loved him, you'd realize this needs to be done.
25:18I mean, what choice do we have?!
25:19I'm not the fucking problem here!
25:23Yes, you were and you were dead!
25:32Oh, my God.
26:18Oh, my God.
26:35Oh, my God.
27:07Oh, my God.
27:46Oh, my God.
27:49Oh, my God.
28:08Oh, my God.
28:09Oh, my God.
