00:00The man saw that his first love was about to be pushed onto the tracks, without hesitation.
00:04He jumped down after her.
00:05Lu Yan had twisted her ankle and was unable to stand.
00:08With the subway rapidly approaching, Zhang Qingyi carried her off the tracks and back
00:12onto the platform.
00:13At the last possible moment, they both escaped danger.
00:16Zhang Qingyi carried Lu Yan all the way home and carefully applied a cold compress to her
00:20injured foot, worried about leaving her alone.
00:22He offered to stay with her that night.
00:24Knowing that Zhang Qingyi had risked his life to protect her gave Lu Yan an overwhelming
00:27sense of security.
00:28When Lu Yan woke up the next morning, Zhang Qingyi had already prepared breakfast during
00:33the meal.
00:33She noticed that his arm was badly reddened.
00:35She quickly wrapped a boiled egg in a cloth and gently massaged the injured area with it.
00:39Zhang Qingyi gazed at Lu Yan with tenderness in his eyes.
00:42After Ding Jing's attempt to harm Lu Yan failed, she went into hiding and did not show herself
00:46again.
00:47Concerned for Lu Yan's safety, Zhang Qingyi decided to personally drive her to and from
00:51work, wanting to stay by her side at all times.
00:54He even moved into Lu Yan's home.
00:55But their peaceful days lasted only a few days before Ding Jing was murdered, making the
00:59entire case even more mysterious.
01:01Zhang Qingyi was deeply troubled by the death of someone he had known since childhood.
01:05To solve the case as quickly as possible, he brought in Professor Yu, a psychology expert.
01:10After examining the autopsy report, Professor Yu discovered that Ding Jing had been strangled
01:14and beaten before her death.
01:16Everyone suspected that the killer would return.
01:18The idea immediately prompted Zhang Qingyi to take action.
01:21He arranged for officers to keep Ding Jing's home under close surveillance.
01:24On the day of Ding Jing's memorial service, the killer really did sneak into her house.
01:28After a fierce struggle, Zhang Qingyi successfully captured the suspect.
01:32However, the killer had an exceptionally strong psychological composure.
01:36The police interrogated him throughout the night but failed to obtain any useful information.
01:40Just when the police finally found an important piece of evidence, the suspicion unexpectedly
01:44turned toward Lu Yan.
01:45When Zhang Qingyi saw a butterfly hair clip, his heart tightened.
01:48He remembered that Lu Yan owned one just like it.
01:51He could only reassure himself that it was all a coincidence.
01:53Not long afterward, his colleagues reviewed the surveillance footage and discovered Lu Yan
01:57near Ding Jing's home.
01:59She had not gone inside, but she had been lingering outside the house.
02:02At first, they thought this evidence might help clear Lu Yan's name.
02:05But then another piece of evidence emerged.
02:07The incident in which Lu Yan had stood up for her friend was brought to life.
02:10She had apparently caused a disturbance at one of Ding Jing's business events.
02:14After hearing his colleague's analysis, Zhang Qingyi felt a sudden chill.
02:18As Lu Yan's boyfriend, he had known nothing about any of this.
02:21When he returned home, Zhang Qingyi asked Lu Yan whether she was hiding something from him.
02:25Lu Yan hesitated, then shook her head.
02:27It was clearly not the answer Zhang Qingyi wanted.
02:30At that moment, Lu Yan suddenly seemed like a stranger to him.
02:33From her inexplicable breakup with him eight years earlier to her refusal to tell him anything
02:37about what was happening now, she had kept him completely in the dark.
02:41Zhang Qingyi was deeply disappointed.
02:42He then directly confronted her with all the evidence.
