00:00Welcome to the house of torture
00:40Well, wrestling fans at his house of torture
00:42that make their way down to ringside
00:44at Ryokoku Sumo Hall
00:46Headlines are certainly talking about
00:48Yoshinobu Kanemaru recently, Chris
00:50after the offer that was extended
00:53from Taichi
00:54Taichi questioning, Kanemaru, how long are you going to play
00:57at this game, old man
00:58a match that could be made
01:00but Kanemaru rejected in Ishikari City
01:06That's coming up Saturday night
01:08NJPWR pay-per-view
01:10Taichi posting a card in his
01:12old junior high school, believe it or not
01:17I don't think Yuujo Takahashi
01:18made out of junior high school
01:20That's a good point
01:502...
01:551...
01:57This question is from Japan.
02:14Please also check out undayon Goku.
02:19Keep the space from Japan, ORO!
02:21Our relationship with Japan is working to help.
02:22In a space operation from Japan, Offerman visited a temple.
02:24Offerman from Japan made a grand entrance.
02:25Iogoku had a tough time.
02:26The ban from Japan has made Offerman's public appearance more open.
02:27Iogoku had a tough time.
02:27What are they using Sonada to prevent?
02:30Evin is full,
02:33Sonada has changed for the worse.
02:34It seemed as though Ional could touch it.
02:35Because there was no Olly Moo Moo.
02:36If it remained as it was, the participants were,
02:40I think it's Olly Moo Moo.
02:43Team Seikle Bell,
02:45Yoyonaru,
02:46Rather than the holder continuing!
02:47This is a member of the Arario Gox Wo Wo How!
02:51A cycling bell competition.
02:52Woah woah woah uah uah a maah,
02:5436th final, but the man who fell to Ryohei Ueyawa
02:58and will not be in our main event tonight.
03:49Chris, I think it might shock a lot of people who are tuning in to New Japan Pro Wrestling
03:54today, maybe for the first time since the last time we were in Ryogoku,
03:57for Yuya Uemura to not be in a major singles match on this evening.
04:02But that's the ebbs and flows of the sport.
04:04And it is Uemura set to put the best face forward in this six-man tag team
04:08belt.
04:09Yeah, I know Uemura has been asked several times in the media,
04:13well, hey, you beat Yodosuji, the IWGP heavyweight champion, in the sem
04:17if final.
04:17Does that, you know, set you in line?
04:19And Uemura has said it's gone on public record.
04:22The fact of the matter is he wanted to challenge the IWGP heavyweight champion
04:26as the G1 Climax winner, and so he doesn't feel it is the right course of
04:32boil
04:32to just walk out and call himself challenger of the month, so to speak.
04:35He wants to earn it right from the bottom, and I think that is the key here.
04:39Uemura and Sonata had a magic little sequence in Coraco in Hall last week,
04:43and I feel like, you know, for both of these guys, it's a chance to tap into their roots
04:48a little bit.
04:49And tap in we will be here tonight, Ryogoku.
04:52One fall, 20-minute time limit for this six-man tag team fight.
04:55Ryohei Oyoa will be in our main event later on,
04:58the man who defeated Uemura in this building two months ago.
05:02And Uemura wants to recapture the magic, beautiful bridge, and a count of two.
05:06Well, I mean, to shift focus back to our main event, of course, the Oyohei Oyoa,
05:10I'm sure, like, you've seen that great documentary put out on the English YouTube channel
05:15for the Oyohei Oyoa's G1 Journey, that big dream documentary.
05:19And in there, he talked about the significance of that match with Sonata that he had.
05:24I mean, in terms of turning his campaign around and getting him into that route
05:28of using the Big Rock as a submission finish, how important that match was.
05:32I'm sure Uemura watched that documentary as well and said,
05:35yeah, I mean, he feels extra motivated to take care of Sonata in the ring here tonight.
05:40It might not be, there might not be a tag in this matchup.
05:42It might just be the two of them.
05:44Yeah, they're going to do this dance all throughout the night.
05:46Within this 20-minute time limit, Sonata and Oyohei Omoora centered up.
05:51And it's Sonata who will take control of the wrist by the end.
05:57Omoore said he wants to perfect the wrist lock.
06:03He wants that wrist lock to be able to submit anyone on the New Japan roster.
06:07We'll see if he can get hold of the wrist and arm.
06:10He said, trying for the head, and Sonata coming back up with that hammerlock.
06:14And Sonata, a fantastic technician, something that we had shown so far away from over the last few years
06:20since Sonata had joined House of Torture.
06:22We saw great glimpses of what Sonata is capable of in this year's G1
06:25Climax Tournament, Chris.
06:27And it is Uemura who is looking to keep that on display for the cold-blooded
06:31snake.
06:32As Uemura twists and Sonata all around here.
06:34Zatmair take down and full control of that left shoulder goes to the heat storm.
06:39You know, I think the G1 was a massive boost to Sonata's own confidence.
06:43You know, I mean, I think if you looked at Sonata of the 2025, G1 felt he had
06:47to use those guitar shocks
06:49in order to, you know, get around his physical limitations, as you can see,
06:53with the right arm as in the state that it still is.
06:57But I think this year's G1 being able especially to beat Yodosuji, the I
07:02WGP Heavyweight Champion
07:04in the G1 campaign, was a lesson that Sonata can definitely still go on his own merits.
07:09And, you know, hey, if you bend or break a rule here or there,
07:12well, so much the better when it comes to Sonata.
07:16As the tag out from Sonata, and the tag in for Yoshinobu Kanemaru.
07:21And, you know, there is certainly two men in the red corner who would love to tie it up
07:26with Kanemaru a little bit deeper.
07:27Former IWGP Junior Tag Team Champions come to blows tonight.
07:32Now Desperado owes so much of his career success to Yoshinobu Kanemaru right
07:36over the top.
07:39Desperado learned so much from Kanemaru, but we talk all the time
07:43in a student versus teacher matchup.
07:46There's only so much that you can be taught,
07:48but you haven't learned everything there is to offer.
07:50Kanemaru is going to catch that leg and drive it right into the canvas,
07:53courtesy of the heel master.
07:56And that is the old adage of Kanemaru taught Desperado,
08:00all that Desperado knows, but not everything that Kanemaru knows.
08:03And a few extra ways into the figure four.
08:05It's going to soften the base.
08:08Historical knee troubles, but one-half of the Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions.
08:12And this might be setting the stage walker for Super Junior Tag League
08:16getting ready to go in the next couple of weeks.
08:18Yeah, man, we are right into the figure four leg lock for Yoshinobu Kanemaru,
08:21who scored a big win over a young lion back in Cork and Hall
08:24with this hold just a few nights ago.
08:27And Kanemaru trying to keep El Desperado centered up here in Ryogoku
08:31to the bottom rope, able to force the break here.
08:36Desperado has said that he and Mystico will be in Super Junior Tag League.
08:40They plan to win the tournament as the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champions.
08:45I'm sure Kanemaru, whoever, and he's got his pick.
08:47I mean, it could be Doki, it could be Sho, it could be Dick Togo.
08:50And I think you cannot look past any of those combinations in Junior Tag League.
08:54Well, of course, El Desperado and Mystico, your IWGP Junior Tag Team Champions,
08:59are looking to go on a run to Lucha Kingdom coming up November 16th.
09:03That special singles matchup, we did it once at Dominion.
09:06We'll do it again in Arena Mexico.
09:08El Desperado versus Mystico to come on NJBW World.
09:13Meanwhile, here's Yudro Takahashi, that falling headbutt right to the left knee of
09:18Desperado.
09:20Cover again, scrambled at a two count.
09:37El Desperado wants to build momentum to the kickoff of Super Junior Tag League 2026 in
09:42Kumagaya, October 24th.
09:45And it's Yudro Takahashi, meanwhile, going right into the eyes of Desperado through
09:50the mask.
09:50And nobody better at stuffing up momentum than Yudro.
09:54Wait a second.
09:55Meanwhile, Desperado.
09:58Could have been an ugly situation.
10:02Still was perhaps for Yudro Takahashi.
10:04Taichi wants in in the worst way.
10:07And let's see it.
10:08Next time we're live on NJBW World October 17th.
10:12Taichi's putting the promoter hat on in Ishikari City.
10:16Taichi's old school pro wrestling too, live on NJBW World pay-per-view.
10:21Taichi issued an offer to a man who comes up from behind right now, Yoshinobu Kan
10:26emaru,
10:26a former friend, a former partner to team alongside Nalmichi Manafuji coming up on
10:32That night, Chris.
10:33Yeah, I mean, I don't think Taichi really asked Marafuji about that.
10:37Marafuji and Kanemaru have often been on opposing ends in pro wrestling,
10:42no rings over the years, over the GHC Junior Championship, GHC Junior Tag Championships as well.
10:48No one wonders whether anybody can be on the same page in that matchup.
10:52That's if Kanemaru even accepts the invite.
10:54I don't think he will.
10:55I think Taichi wants to try and push Kanemaru to acceptance on this evening.
10:59The pitfall victory could do just that.
11:01Kanemaru on the outside, Yudro moving to the wayside,
11:04and it's Takahashi driving down Taichi with that reverse DDT.
11:10In the meantime, here comes the rest of the house.
11:13No benefit of the tag.
11:23Short train here tonight for House of Torture.
11:27Boom!
11:29Three-way boots there for Sonata, Yudro, and Kanemaru.
11:32Here's the cover again.
11:34Broken up by El Desperado.
11:40Oh, wait a second.
11:42And Desperado roped up Kanemaru, I think.
11:44Oh!
11:46I mean, Desperado was thinking to get his hops on.
11:48Sonata cut him off.
11:49And here comes Yuya Umura going back to that wrist and trading.
11:54One for one with Yuya Umura.
11:56Nice.
11:56Watch this.
11:57Driving.
11:58Whoa!
12:00Into that wrist of Sonata and Yuya Umura.
12:03Wait a second.
12:03Oh, over the top rope to the outside.
12:05Yudro, always a smart athlete.
12:08And the X-Bomber Lariat, the power.
12:10Not going to be stopped from the Ishikari native.
12:13Oh, and you can't stop this either.
12:16Oh!
12:17They're off.
12:18It's my favorite part of the night, Chris.
12:20It's my second favorite part of the night.
12:23Hey!
12:24We're just getting started here.
12:25That's a Suntory Whiskey bottle in the hand of Yoshino Mokano.
12:29It's all to distract the referee.
12:31Yuya Umura's got something else in his own hands.
12:33No.
12:35And from between the legs, here's Yuya Umura Takahashi.
12:40Well, Yuya Umura is that pimp's cane.
12:42And meanwhile, Taichi scouted it.
12:50Here we go.
12:52And Black Mephisto inbound.
12:54Landed on Yudro Takahashi.
12:59Taichi has done it again.
13:11Well, I saw that Taichi wanted to, as you indicated, have Yoshinova Kanemaru in the
13:18ring for that exhaust.
13:19But still, once again, another one up against the house.
13:23The torture has to feel somewhat good.
13:26Let's whether see Toriyan or Konosuke Takeshi can do the same in a couple
13:30of match's time.
13:31But in the meantime, here's this issue we were talking about.
14:01Look at that just out of frame as well.
14:03Oh, whoever is scaring down Sinaita Walker.
14:06What?
14:07What are you struggling with?
14:09Is that what Taichi is saying?
14:10Are we done here?
14:13I'm not sure that Taichi's going to be getting an answer to that offer anytime soon.
14:18You might have to stay tuned for post-match comments for that one, Chris.
14:21I think so.
14:24If we get any updates over the course of the evening, we'll relay them to you on this broadcast.
14:30But otherwise, social media and APW World and on YouTube, you'll hear everything that comes out backstage after
14:38This event is happening here tonight.
14:57Well, El Desperado is going to go to the trainer's room to check up on that knee.
15:01Thanks to Yoshinobu Kanemaru.
15:02We are kicking off Super Junior Tag League 2026.
15:06Cannot wait to figure out who's going to be involved in that lineup.
15:09But you can imagine El Desperado and Mitsuko say they're in.
15:12You've got to trust the IWGP Junior Tag Team Champions.
15:15Join us October 24th live in Kumagaya, Saitama, Japan.
15:219-1 for Super Junior Tag League.
15:23It's going to be a hot one this year.
15:24I love Kumagaya.
15:37Oh, I love this too.
15:39You can see a lot more of it October 17th on pay-per-view.
15:42You think it's just going to be a whole day of him smoking?
15:45I can only hope.
15:46Oh, I love you.
15:47I awesome.
15:51You too.
15:54I'll receive you from here.
