Congress leader Rahul Gandhi thanked protesters, leaders and workers of the INDIA bloc, and civil society organisations for participating in a joint demonstration. Quoting him directly, he stated, "Today was a very important day because we needed to show the government that people of India are not going to be intimidated. You cannot beat us, threaten us, frighten us. We will not accept being bullied." He questioned the absence of RSS members, criticised the Prime Minister, and reiterated that citizens are standing united to defend the Constitution and Indian democracy.

00:00There's a piece of breaking news which is coming in now. Rahul Gandhi has thanked the protesters
00:04for joining today's protest. He has said, and I'm quoting him, and I'll be running that video
00:10just a bit. Today was a very important day because we needed to show the government that people of
00:14India are not going to be intimidated. You cannot beat us, threaten us, frighten us.
00:19We will not accept being bullied. Rahul Gandhi saying, I was wondering where the cowards of the
00:25RSS who were beating the young children day before yesterday were. Let's listen in to what Rahul Gandhi said.
00:34I'd like to thank every single person who came out for this protest. I'd also like to thank the
00:43millions of people who showed support in their own way at 3 o'clock. The leaders of India bloc,
00:54all the workers of the Congress party, workers of the India bloc. This was a very important thing
01:01because we needed to show the government that the people of India are not going to be intimidated.
01:07You cannot beat us, you cannot threaten us, you cannot frighten us. We will not accept being bullied.
01:15I was wondering when I was on the bus there, where the cowards of the RSS who were beating the
01:24young
01:24children day before yesterday were. Where were those people? Because I didn't see them. When
01:31we are standing there and when the people of India are standing there, why don't you come out?
01:35Why don't you wear your little scarves and come out and see what happens? Because you're essentially
01:42like the Prime Minister of India, bullies. You cannot stand up. You can only use power to fight.
01:50So it's very heartening to see what happened. I'm proud of everybody. Everybody worked like a team.
01:57As I said in my press conference, there are no parallel protests. There is one protest
02:02and it's a protest where everybody is standing together. Every single person is going to stand
02:07against these killers of our constitution, these killers of our democracy and we're not going to
02:14back down. I'd also like to thank everybody from civil society organizations who came, supported us.
02:22We value your support and we love all of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you for coming out
02:30and defending the idea of India, the idea of the constitution, the idea of our democracy. I'm
02:37extremely proud of every single person who came out on the streets. Thank you.
