00:00Hello. You are a family man tonight and every day. Yes, definitely. And mental health is definitely rising for kids.
00:07I would love to know, is that something that concerns you as a parent and how are you combating that?
00:11Yes, my kids were on their iPads in the car on the way here. And I was like, guys, we're
00:14going to a mental health function.
00:16Please put the iPads down. Listen, just dialogue, communication. They're here tonight.
00:21You know, I mean, I brought my I have a 12 year old here tonight who's going to endure like
00:25three hours of speeches in a stuffy.
00:27You know, like it's this isn't fun necessarily for a kid. But as I told her and the rest of
00:32the kids, this is important stuff.
00:33This is what the world is dealing with. This is what I'm dealing with.
00:36This is the business that I'm in now trying to help other people.
00:39And and you have a lot. You can learn a lot tonight, more than you probably learned in school today.
00:44I agree. I agree. And also, do you have any wellness routines or tips that helps you kind of deal
00:49with your own mental health that helps you stay grounded?
00:51It's a great question. I'm starting to figure that out.
00:54You know, working out is such a cliche and I certainly don't work out that much, but it really does
00:58help.
00:59I'm always so tired from getting up in the Today Show. It's the last thing I want to do.
01:02But the days when I force myself, I'm always like, darn it, I feel better.
01:07And I do do the cold plunge a little bit. Sorry. I feel like I'm on Joe Rogan.
01:12But honestly, it's the basics, like sleep.
01:15Like if I get a good night's sleep, I have sleep apnea and I've been off my CPAP.
01:19Do you know what CPAP is? We breathe the thing. My wife loves it. Yeah. OK.
01:23So I was off it for a long time, but now I'm like back on it because I realize my
01:27sleep's been shitty lately.
01:28And that's you need sleep. You need to eat well.
01:31Like you need exercise. It's so dumb. But those are the things I think set people up to be healthy
01:35mentally.
01:36And my last question. You guys are also close at the Today Show.
01:40What kind of support do you provide each other that we're not seeing behind the scenes?
01:44Everything. You see actually like zero. You see one percent of it.
01:48It's a special time at that show. I've been lucky not to watch it since I was a kid.
01:52But the group of people that we have there, both on camera and behind camera,
01:56I would put up with any any family or organization or work environment in the world.
02:02It's a special group. We care about each other.
02:04And it all happens behind the scenes, you know, because it's real.
02:07All right. You got it. Thank you.
