00:06But Liberty is up there. That is like the classic advent calendar that everyone wants.
00:10It looks beautiful in the box, which is designed to look like the iconic Regent Street store.
00:16It always sells out year after year and this year it's £285 but it's worth 1.3k.
00:23So that's like a huge saving, one of the biggest savings this year.
00:25And inside there are 29 products and 21 of them are full size, so great value for money.
00:30And unlike other calendars, Liberty's offering is always quite classic.
00:35Like you've got like Gustav and Spader, Sunday Riley.
00:38They're not like the zeitgeisty TikTok viral brands, they're like genuinely good premium formulas.
00:43Also up there with the luxury offerings is Space NK, which costs £275 but it's worth 1.2k.
00:50And there are 35 products in Space NKs, including 26 full size, which is really, really good.
00:55And that one you can expect Medic 8, Charlotte Tilbury, Hourglass, Sunday Riley, Olaplex, like lots of recognisable household brands.
01:03And then finally, Harrods is a really good luxury offering as well.
01:07It's £275 but worth over a grand.
01:10And there are 32 products, 21 of which are full size.
01:13And again, you've got like Augustinus Bader, Medicaid, Charlotte Tilbury.
01:17Like similar brands crop up in all the luxury ones but they're all genuinely good ones.
01:22It's always the same ones each year but Look Fantastic, ASOS and M&S always offer the best value for
01:28money.
01:28Particularly ASOS this year, which is this one.
01:30Really fun Zebra print design and it's only £98 but it's worth £360.
01:36And it's got like, again, recognisable names and the kind of formulas that if you don't want yourself, you could
01:40easily gift as well.
01:41Which is like Charlotte Tilbury, Medi-Cube, Gazoo and Look Fantastic offers great value for money, £120 but it's worth
01:48nearly £700 with 27 products in it.
01:51It's this big one here.
01:52And again, you've got Medicaid, Colour It Wow, Laura Mercier, UK Lash.
01:58Fragrance is a funny one because they're all really expensive and you only get little sample sizes.
02:03But if you're a fragrance fan, it's a good way to try lots of different scents.
02:07Jo Malone is always one of the most popular and Diptyque still is keeping theirs under wraps but last year
02:13it cost £400 and it was all miniatures.
02:15But it looks beautiful and it's a lovely luxury gift for someone at Christmas.
02:22So John Lewis, Harrahs and Liberty always tend to include kind of classic formulas, maybe more for mature skin, the
02:28genuinely useful like bathroom cabinet products that you'd want.
02:31Whereas Sephora, Space NK, Boots, ASOS, they all tend to kind of tap into whatever people are talking about on
02:39TikTok.
02:39And this year Space NK and Sephora are definitely the best for that.
02:42We've got Olaplex, Bioma, Refai, Sol de Janeiro, Fleur, The Fragrances, Glow Recipe, Cosas.
02:49It's the kind of advent calendar you get and you can kind of share it around your whole family at
02:51Christmas.
02:54It depends what you're looking for.
02:55I would say John Lewis is the best for mature skin and it's got exciting things like Beauty Tech in
03:00it from Foreo.
03:01If you're not wanting to spend nearly £300 on a calendar, then Boots is really, really good.
03:05It's £150 and it's got 24 products and 19 of which are full size.
03:08And if you're really wanting to push the boat out, then definitely look at Vogue's because it's £355 but it's
03:14worth 1.6k which is one of the biggest values this year.
03:18And it's not only got beauty and fragrance but it's also got fashion bits including a little Longchamp coin purse
03:23which is £120 alone and some jewellery as well.
03:25And M&S's which is out in October is a reliable favourite as well.
03:30It only costs £75 which makes it one of the most affordable ones and it's got 25 products.
03:38For me, I think it's the single brand offerings just because you're not getting as much variety, you're not getting
03:43as much of a chance to find like a new favourite formula.
03:46But if you love the brand, then you might feel like it's worth it.
03:49But I think the nice thing about advent calendars is just trying different things out.
03:57I think the Liberty one to be honest because it looks beautiful.
04:00I've got it the last three years and I still use some of the products as a lipstick that I've
04:05got that much left of.
04:07And just the products are really, really good and they all take up space in my cabinet.
04:10I don't feel like they're useless.
