Aaron Shane Key was dropped off at a rural Tennessee property on April 5, 2019.

According to an account later shared by his family, Aaron expected his father to return for him about 30 minutes later.

Before that could happen, Aaron was dead.

Authorities concluded that his death was caused by hanging. But his mother, Lisa Key, continued to question the circumstances surrounding his final minutes, reported injuries, and how evidence was handled.

This short documentary does not claim Aaron was murdered. It examines the publicly reported facts, the family's questions, and the mystery surrounding those final 30 minutes.

00:01April 5th, 2019. 41-year-old Aaron Shane Key was dropped off at a property in rural Tennessee.
00:11According to an account later shared by his family, Aaron asked his father to come back for him in about
00:1930 minutes.
00:21But before his father returned, the phone rang.
00:25Aaron was dead. Authorities concluded that he had died by hanging.
00:33But for Aaron's mother, Lisa Key, the questions were only beginning.
00:41A 911 call from the property reportedly described several people fighting.
00:47The caller said there were around five people outside, and claimed tensions at the property had been going on for
00:56days.
00:58Some people reportedly left before officers arrived.
01:02None of that proves Aaron was the victim of a crime.
01:07But it raises an obvious question.
01:10What happened during Aaron's final minutes?
01:17Lisa also questioned injuries she says were found on her son's body.
01:23Local reporting described abrasions, bruising, and injuries around his eyelids.
01:30Lisa said she was told some of the marks could have been caused by very young puppies.
01:36She remained unconvinced.
01:39She also said Aaron had an injured right wrist, and questioned how he could have secured the rope described in
01:48the official account.
01:50But those details alone do not prove homicide.
01:54Their significance would depend on the complete forensic evidence.
02:00The medical examiner reportedly determined Aaron's cause of death was hanging.
02:08Local reporting also described a relatively minor ligature mark, and no significant injury to certain structures of the neck.
02:18Those findings do not automatically rule out hanging.
02:22But to Lisa, they added to the questions she already had.
02:29She has also questioned how evidence at the scene was handled, and has continued seeking another examination of her son's
02:38death.
02:39There is no publicly verified evidence establishing that Aaron Shane Key was murdered, and no person has been proven responsible
02:49for causing his death.
02:51The official conclusion remains hanging, but one question still sits at the center of the story.
02:59Aaron expected his father to return in about 30 minutes.
