00:00Next to me is the all new Lamborghini Temerario and it's the replacement for the beloved Lamborghini
00:04Huracan which served the company well for the better part of 10 years and a lot of people are
00:08upset that it's gone but I personally think this car is better in just about every single way and
00:14today I'm going to tell you why. Now there obviously are some cosmetic changes between
00:17the two models starting off with the headlights you'll notice that they're actually recessed a
00:20little bit they don't sit flush with the body lines on the car and that's going to give the
00:24car a more aggressive look up front and it's also going to help with aerodynamics. Now if we move
00:28further towards the bottom here you'll find Lamborghini's favorite shape of all time the good
00:32old-fashioned hexagon and you're going to see more of those shapes later on in this video but I think
00:36it actually looks really good. Now aside from that it's pretty easy to tell that the Temerario is the
00:40successor to the Huracan because they share a similar shape there's just some minor tweaks that make it
00:44look a little bit more modern. Now toward the side of the car it kind of reminds me of a
00:48Lamborghini
00:48Aventador because you have this fender vent here and then you have a vent right behind your door
00:52which is obviously going to make this a far more aerodynamic car than the Huracan ever was. Now at this
00:56point of the video folks I think it's time that we address the elephant in the room and that's the
00:59fact that the 5.2 liter naturally aspirated v10 is gone and that's going to upset a lot of people
01:04but
01:04it's not going to upset me because the new platform is a 4 liter twin turbo v8 with three electric
01:09motors making a combined 920 horsepower which is 300 more than the outgoing model. It'll also go 0 to
01:1660 in an estimated 2.7 seconds reach a top speed of 210 miles an hour and the best part
01:21the most
01:22exciting part about this whole car and the whole Temerario experience has to be the 10,000 rpm red
01:28line. We're getting into motorcycle territory with these RPMs folks we really are. Now around back is
01:32where most of the exterior changes have happened in my opinion and like I said before the Hexagon is
01:36Lamborghini's favorite shape and they've continued that shape on their headlights and on this center
01:41exit exhaust which actually covers two smaller oval exhaust tips right behind it. Now this car does have
01:46the Algerita lightweight package which is going to give you a full carbon fiber deck lid as well as some
01:51more other options and it's roughly $100,000 if you want it. Now one of the most surprising design
01:56features on the Temerario while we're back here has to be the full visibility of your tires which is
02:01great for the customer because it looks really cool and it'll be really easy to tell if you have a
02:05nail
02:06in there or if you need to replace the rear tires but it really sucks for the person driving behind
02:10you
02:11because they're most likely going to get a rock chip to the windshield. I never thought I would see the
02:14day where a Lamborghini supercar needs mud flaps but I would argue that they're very necessary in this case
02:19especially considering the fact that these are 325s so they're going to kick up just about everything
02:24the road has to offer. Now jumping inside I was almost uncertain if I was in a Temerario or if
02:28I
02:28was in a Revolta because they almost share the exact same interior. You have a leather and carbon fiber
02:33flat bottom steering wheel with carbon fiber paddle shifters a bunch of different controls on that wheel
02:37one being for your drive mode one being for your EV mode your turn signals a drift mode and a
02:42button for
02:43your windshield wipers. Now like I mentioned before this does have the Algerita package I'm probably
02:47pronouncing that wrong but it's going to give you these really cool carbon fiber bucket seats fully
02:51carbon fiber doors and a little leather pull strap which is going to save even more weight. Now I
02:54actually prefer this infotainment system over the Huracan because it's kind of a floating design and
02:58it's going to give you room underneath to put your cell phone and use the two USB type-c charges
03:02that it
03:03gives you. You also have a little pouch to put your key so you don't have to just shove it
03:06in your
03:06pocket and one of my favorite features that I'm really glad they added it's one of my favorite
03:10supercar features in general is going to be the passenger display. So when you're driving your 920 horsepower
03:15supercar your passenger can make sure that you're following the rules of the road and going the
03:19speed limit. Now right underneath that passenger display if you press on this little bit of Alcantara
03:23it is going to reveal your hidden cup holders which give you and your passengers the opportunity to put
03:28beverages in your $600,000 supercar. I'm personally way too clumsy to put drinks in a car like this I
03:34would probably spill a latte all over these perfect yellow leather seats so I'm just going to keep it closed
03:39for now. I mean it's not a 5.2 liter analogy aspirin V10 but you can't say that that sounds
03:48bad and that's a warm start. The car was started just about 45 minutes ago and I'm finding myself
03:53having to talk over it so I would argue that it sounds pretty good and it would sound a whole
03:57lot
03:57better at 10,000 rpm but on that note let's go for a ride in this thing. Well we're now
04:02in the passenger
04:02seat of the Lamborghini Temerario and we have our passenger display here which will show how fast
04:06we're going. It shows that we're in course mode here and right in the middle what gear we're in
04:11as well as on the right side I believe that is a g-force meter and this car's got 920
04:15horsepower so
04:16I'm pretty sure that we're going to pull some pretty serious g's here.
04:27That is unbelievable.
04:41So now I've been in both cars so I want to share what my thoughts are between the two because
04:45they
04:45look pretty similar. You have a yellow Temerario here and you have a yellow LP610 Spyder here. You
04:49could tell that they're related it's pretty obvious but if you put a blindfold on and went for a ride
04:53in
04:54both of these cars you would have no idea that they came from the same manufacturer and the Temerario
04:59here is an absolute rocket ship. It pins you to the back of your seat with those turbos and with
05:04the
05:04electric assist there is almost no turbo lag so as soon as you hit the throttle it's almost impossible
05:09to take your head off of the back of that seat and it was an absolutely incredible experience.
05:13I have spent some time with the Lamborghini Huracan. I rented one out in California. It was an LP580-2.
05:18It was obviously significantly slower. It didn't pin you to the back of your seat quite as much because
05:24it only had around 580 horsepower compared to 920 but it is just overall a completely different
05:30experience and let me know in the comments below if you're taking the Huracan or if you're taking
05:34the all-new Temerario and I'll see you guys in the next one.
