In this episode, we narrate the complete Chapter 25 of Genesis. Abraham passes away at 175 years old — full of years, with the promise moving forward. And Isaac and Rebekah have twins: Esau and Jacob. Two brothers who were completely different from the womb.
And then comes the costliest moment of the chapter. Esau returns from the field hungry. Jacob has a lentil stew. And Esau makes the most expensive decision of his life — he sells his birthright for a single bowl of food. He didn't lose it. He despised it.
Hebrews 12 calls him profane because of this moment. Not for being a bad hunter. But for choosing the immediate over the eternal.
