00:00Kevin and I were talking about the Yankees getting swept by the Rays here.
00:04And I got to tell you, I'm in the same boat with you.
00:07Before we get to the NFL, man, that was an abomination.
00:110-3, and you get knocked out by a team.
00:15Kevin, I'm going to keep my calm here.
00:17With $104 million payroll, they knock you out.
00:22They win the East, own the regular season.
00:25And look at that record.
00:28That's Cashman's record.
00:30And Boone's record.
00:32So I just want to, I'll try and do this quickly.
00:36So the Rays payroll, right, is obviously not massive.
00:41Did you know that if you add the Rays payroll and the Yankees payroll,
00:46it's still less than the Dodgers payroll?
00:50Here's the thing, man.
00:52I grew up with Yankees entitlement, okay?
00:56And people want me to be like, well, don't romance, you know, move on from that.
01:01Nope.
01:02I will not move on from that.
01:04Because there is a team right now who spends the way the Yankees used to, and now they're
01:10the Yankees, okay?
01:12I get on nightly fights.
01:13I get in nightly fights with my co-host, Gabe Morenci, because, and look, I love him.
01:18I love doing the show.
01:19For some reason, he tries to act like the Dodgers are this mom-and-pop upstart who just
01:24are really good at scouting.
01:26Man, what?
01:27It's just MVPs and Cy Youngs, and that's all they do.
01:32And then the Yankees season's on the line, and here comes Trent Grisham.
01:37Come on, man.
01:38Like, this is not hard to figure out.
01:41Like, Juan Soto should have never left the Bronx.
01:44Apparently, they should have been in on Tarek Skubal or whomever you want.
01:49It's just they're not as good as they should be.
01:53So, well, their payroll's third should be first.
01:56Like, that's where I land on the whole thing.
01:59That's right, man.
02:00I mean, it's a shame what's going on there with Cashman.
02:03I mean, 17 years since the Yankees have won a World Series, and on top of that, Cashman's
02:09been there 27 years as GM.
