00:00Obviously we've seen a statement this morning in the call about the ownership situation.
00:03Were you surprised when you had seen that?
00:07Yeah, I was surprised because they'd only come in a year and a half ago.
00:12So I think most owners come in a lot longer than that.
00:15I think we all were expecting them to be here for the next 20, 30 years, however long it may
00:19be.
00:20Yeah, so pretty surprised.
00:22But maybe after the way things sort of worked out over the transfer window, I probably was seen through it
00:31a little bit, a bit before that.
00:32And I think it's probably there for all Evertonians to see now.
00:37I was going to say, does that explain maybe why they haven't been to the stadium, why they haven't met
00:41yourself?
00:42And maybe the transfer window, were they all signs maybe that this was not a one?
00:48Well, probably looking back, maybe it was the case.
00:50But I truly believed that we knew ownership, we were in for it completely with us all.
01:01My ambition coming back was to try and get everything back to the levels they'd been at maybe in the
01:06past in some ways.
01:07And that could have been challenging for Europe more often and being around it.
01:12And probably you can tell by how I've been a lot over the summertime, you've probably had an idea of
01:17that that's the way it's been.
01:20It's been a difficult summer for us and now maybe me, I've only found out this morning myself with everybody
01:26else,
01:29that maybe I'm a little bit surprised, but maybe I shouldn't be that surprised.
01:33I know things change, but do you feel let down personally at all from what you were sort of sold
01:38in the first place?
01:39No, because I love this club too much and they could have sold me at any time and they're still
01:43taking it.
01:45But it's forever Tony and I'm more disappointed because they've been through so much difficult periods.
01:52They really have.
01:53I think the last thing they really wanted to hear this was that I think they were,
01:56and I used the word last year a bit, we went through a season where there wasn't much drama.
02:01You know, we didn't have any relegation problems.
02:05Well, we had a bit of drama with money that we've had to pay to Burnley.
02:10But apart from that, in the main, we've done pretty well over the year
02:15and we're just starting to get back in the right footing and challenging the right end of the league more
02:20than the wrong end.
02:21So, yeah, I'm more disappointed forever Tony is that they have to sort of go through another period of who's
02:29going to be the new owners.
