00:01U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has warned that the war between Russia and Ukraine is at a dangerous
00:07stalemate that could lead to further escalation.
00:11Speaking during a stopover in Portugal, Rubio said escalation by either side could turn the war into a much broader
00:17regional conflict.
00:20His comments came after Ukraine accused Russia of deliberately targeting civilians in Kramatorsk.
00:27Ukrainian authorities said 30 people were killed when two buses were struck in the frontline city on Thursday.
00:35President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wowed the attack will not go unanswered.
00:43Rubio said stalemates were particularly dangerous because either side could be tempted to escalate in an attempt to break the
00:50impasse.
00:53He said efforts towards a negotiated settlement had so far failed, but Washington would continue trying.
01:00rough work for that is with shorts, but forediang.
