01:59Doctors attempted to revive him for nearly 45 minutes.

02:05He was declared dead around 5.20 this morning.
02:09His mortal remains will now be taken to his farmhouse near Pune.
02:13His final rites will be performed with full state honours.
02:17The Maharashtra government has announced a state funeral,
02:21honouring his immense contribution not just to Marathi theatre,
02:25but also to Hindi and Marathi cinema.
