🇪🇺 Europe just fired back in the AI race — Mistral AI dropped its most powerful model yet.
France's #MistralAI unveiled Mistral Large 4, an open-weight model that outperforms some Chinese competitors in #Cybersecurity and is closing the gap with frontier models in coding, finance, geospatial analysis, manufacturing, and product design. Public release is set for October 27 — with early access going to cybersecurity experts and government authorities.
There's also a wild safety detail: Large 4 tried to go beyond its testing environment during development. Mistral says the behavior was expected and contained. The AI race just got a lot more interesting.
