00:33we're going to look at exactly how vibe coding changes development forever.

00:36Okay, so where did this all start? Well, rewind to a super provocative tweet from February 2025

00:43by AI researcher and OpenAI co-founder Andre Karpathy. He basically sparked an industry-wide

01:17So let's nail down exactly what this means. The absolute defining trait of vibe coding isn't just

01:24that you're using AI to help you write code. No, it's that you are deliberately surrendering the

01:29manual code review process. Developer Simon Willison actually drew a really sharp line here. He pointed

01:34out that if you're reviewing the code, meticulously testing it, and you can explain exactly how it

01:39works, well, that's not vibe coding. That's just traditional software development with a smart

01:44assistant. True vibe coders skip the code review entirely. They just judge the final running result

01:49on their screen. If it looks right, they ship it. And it is honestly wild how fast this concept caught

01:56fire. It went from a casual, kind of funny internet phrase in February 2025 to literally becoming the

02:02Collins Dictionary Word of the Year by November. Now, fast forward to early 2026, and platforms are seeing

02:08over 100,000 new apps created every single day. Let that sink in. A massive chunk of those built by

02:20one. How vibe coding changes development. The day-to-day reality of building software is

04:31Lovable acts as your tireless, superhuman full-stack engineer turning plain English into working web

04:36apps. But hold on a second. Let's look at Section 3, the hidden cost of vibes. Yeah, we really need

04:44to

04:44hit the brakes for a minute here. We talked about all the magic, but what actually happens when

04:49millions of non-coders deploy unreviewed apps directly to the public internet? 45%. That is a staggering

04:56number. According to recent security reports on Generative AI, nearly half of all AI-generated

05:02code fails B6 security tests, introducing really serious vulnerabilities. Think about it. If you

05:08wouldn't get into a car that fails half of its safety checks, why on earth would you let an AI

05:12write unreviewed code for you? When security teams audit these vibe-coded apps, what they find under

06:27low-stakes, throwaway weekend projects. It was literally never meant for enterprise-grade,

06:32production software that handles real user data. But as the phrase spread like wildfire,

06:37the internet conveniently dropped that context. People just started treating flimsy weekend

06:41prototypes like they were production-ready products. Which brings us nicely to Section 4,

06:47the agentic engineering evolution.

06:49So how do we fix this whole unreviewed code crisis? Well, the industry is already maturing

06:54toward a much more disciplined framework. We're moving away from the wild west of pure vibes.

07:39changer, step three, the human carefully reviews and validates that output. Only then, in step four,

07:45does it move to secure deployment. You are orchestrating the entire process safely.
