RM5bil to RM6bil needed for federal road maintenance, says Ahmad Maslan

The Works Ministry has requested sufficient allocation under Budget 2027 to cover the overall maintenance needs of federal roads nationwide.  Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said the ministry required an allocation of between RM5bil and RM6bil to ensure that road quality and safety remained at an optimum level. 00:00The need is $5-6 billion for the road in Semenanjung, Sabah and Sarawak.

00:10But in the year 2016, we got $3.18 billion.

00:19In Semenanjung, $2.08 billion.

00:23Sabah $640 juta, Sarawak $461 juta, jumlah $3.18 billion.

00:31Sedangkan keperluan kita ialah $5-6 billion.

00:35Untuk itu, kita memohon daripada Kementerian Keuangan dalam bajet yang akan datang ini supaya berikanlah peruntukan yang secukupnya.

00:45Dari segi cabutan undi pula, pada tahun 2026, cabutan undi untuk G1 hingga G4, bagi manfaat kontraktor kecil, G1, G2,

01:01G3, G4, jumlahnya ialah RM700 juta.

01:04RM300 juta, Semenanjung, RM200 juta, Sarawak, RM200 juta, Sabah.

01:11Dan kita laksanakan secara undian supaya telus kepada kontraktor-kontraktor yang terlibat.
