Creating A Brain Costume Prop out of a Jell-O mold.

DIY brain cap or hat for costume

I used a $1 dollar Jell-O mold to create a brain costume cap for my costume this year. On Halloween I still plan to wear contacts and do makeup around the eyes but this is what's in progress. The glove was made/modified a few years back and yes it is a power glove.

Process:
A simple trim around the plastic border. Some light sanding around the cutting edge and to rough up the mold itself so the paint sticks better. A quick 1 or 2 layer paint job, then let it dry. Super easy!

Please note they have silicone ones and plastic ones. If the plastic one does not fit your head go with the silicon one.

Final result, see how the costume looked with makeup: https://www.reddit.com/r/halloween/comments/y0grpd/my_costume_last_year_while_at_work_won_a_gift/

Always loved the nightmare movies as a kid. The power glove is of course a throw back to Freddy's dead #6 and the brain cap is a throw back to Freddy's revenge #2

Happy Halloween!
